My wife and I were at The Golden Oak early October. What a great place. The name of the B&B was given to it by the extensive antique oak panels through out. The owner, Will, was a perfect host. His breakfasts are to die for. Each room has its own unique personality. We will use this property again whenever we...

We were visiting Troy for the wedding of a friend. I had never stayed at a B & B. The Golden Oak is absolutely beautiful. The owner, Wil, is warm and welcoming. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The homemade breakfast was fit for a king. Should we ever return to Troy, we would not hesitate to return to the...

By-pass the ordinary and head to The Golden Oak Inn if you are along Route 6 near Mansfield or Sayre, PA, or if you are heading to Corning, NY! The inn is a beautiful old home with all the modern conveniences. The interior is furnished with a well chosen mix of antiques and reproductions; comfortably elegant and a surprise in...

We had the pleasure of staying here for one night, and found it a very enjoyable place. The house is a 1904 Victorian, with lovely appointments, great wood work, and nice rooms. The place is well taken care of, the inn keepers are very friendly, and helpful. The room and bathroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfast served was...

Unique experience for my wife and I of staying in a Victorian House. The rich Oakwood wall panels, tapestry and furniture along with the portraits / paintings presented the necessary setting for us to visualize the lifestyle prevalent in Troy during the 19th century. Will and Debbie work hard to maintain and run the B&B. They were very gracious and caring...

I was in Troy on business and needed a place to stay. The Golden Oak was great, Will is a super host, breakfast was incredible, the rooms were really clean. I had a nice long chat with Will the owner. You can tell that he and Debbie take a lot of pride in their B&B. I would go back!

I grew up in Troy, and I walked by this stately historical home every day on my way to school. It eventually became a Bed and Breakfast and it does not disappoint. Entering this house is like stepping back in time with the decor and atmosphere. I arrived late at night and the house had candles glowing in the windows...
