Turtle Bay Lodge exceeded our expectations in every way. Their genuine hospitality is through and through. Sincere Thanks to Jan & Ray - Kim & Charles, veteran travelers See Forest County and Vanango County Archive sites to learn exciting history tales of colonial missionaries and area natives.

This is the coziest and cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at. It is honestly like going to spend the night with your grandma. I highly recommend staying here. Jan is just wonderful and witty. I can’t wait to stay again.

We wanted something different and off the beaten path while on a spontaneous drive through the great outdoors of PA. We were able to book the Roosevelt room last minute. Jan is the owner and over the top warm and friendly. She made us feel at home and welcome. It was like staying with family. The lodge is clean, tons of space for families and guests. We sat on river edge on the swing and took in the peace and tranquility. We slept like babies and were met with fresh coffee and a wonderful breakfast. We will most certainly stay here again when looking for a quiet getaway. Thanks Jan!

Enjoyed a wonderful four-night stay! Jan & Ray did not miss a beat with their genuine hospitality. Our room and the lodge amenities provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location just off the Allegheny River is peaceful and great for watching wild life... birds, fish, bull frogs and turtles galore!

Turtle Bay Lodge is a beautiful and spacious lodge right on the Allegheny River in President, PA between Tionesta and Oil City. Owners Jan and Ray could not be nicer. The accommodations are first rate and entire lodge is kept immaculately clean. This is a great getaway to enjoy peace and quiet with local, nature, and outdoor activities: kayaking, hiking, fishing, walking, bird watching, hunting, and some historical attractions a short drive away. There's even a small art gallery in another home right down the road.

Excellent place to stay along the quite Allegheny River frontage, snuggled in a deep forest setting. Leave your windows open to the forest sounds of night and the occasional waking of the geese along the river. Ray and Jan are excellent host and provide the quality service one strives for, while staying at a bed and breakfast.

I have been camping in Tionesta all my life and had never heard of this place- not sure how! It is such a cozy place, that's beautifully decorated, and just like home. It's also right along the river and would be a beautiful view on the screened in porch in the summer time. The owner was so helpful and kind. She made us breakfast bagels one day and breakfast pizza the next. I look forward to coming back again!

We stayed at Eagles Landing - right along the Allegheny River. Very peaceful. This is a great place to put in your kayak or canoe. Also a great place to sit on the deck, enjoy a cocktail and watch for bald eagles that nest in one of the trees. The lodge was very nice but note no air conditioning. Not a deal breaker for us but it can get warm. Dormitory style sleeping arrangements - beds were full beds. Note you have to bring your own linens. Also, no phone reception so be prepared. The owners of Eagles Landing also own Turtle Bay Lodge B&B - wow, is all I can say. It's exquisite. We didn't stay there but were able to take a gander inside. Wow! Can't wait to stay there.

Lodge is in a somewhat secluded location. Hosts are very friendly yet allow time for your privacy. Very clean with large bedroom and attached bathroom (Lincoln room). There is a whirlpool tub but no shower. The included breakfast was good. Would have appreciated some complimentary snacks (apples, granola bars...).
