Enjoyed a wonderful four-night stay! Jan & Ray did not miss a beat with their genuine hospitality. Our room and the lodge amenities provided everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. The location just off the Allegheny River is peaceful and great for watching wild life... birds, fish, bull frogs and turtles galore!

We wanted something different and off the beaten path while on a spontaneous drive through the great outdoors of PA. We were able to book the Roosevelt room last minute. Jan is the owner and over the top warm and friendly. She made us feel at home and welcome. It was like staying with family. The lodge is clean, tons of space for families and guests. We sat on river edge on the swing and took in the peace and tranquility. We slept like babies and were met with fresh coffee and a wonderful breakfast. We will most certainly stay here again when looking for a quiet getaway. Thanks Jan!

This is the coziest and cleanest place I’ve ever stayed at. It is honestly like going to spend the night with your grandma. I highly recommend staying here. Jan is just wonderful and witty. I can’t wait to stay again.

Some great things about this B&B -

--Right on a lovely river - sit on a deck (across lane from B&B) at river's edge or just sit on the gorgeous porch and relax.

--Clean, comfortable, and pretty rooms

--Kitchen accomodations

--Big TV in great room, little ones in room

--Great place nestled in forest to just take some walks

--turtles on shore!

--Location only got 4 simply because it's not near all that much - but Franklin is nice, Oil City is cute and a trip to Drake's Well Museum is worth the trip

--This seems like a great place to gather guests for an event.

We just happened upon Turtle Bay after searching for a place to stay on trip advisor. I recommend this B & B to anyone looking for a weekend away. It is soooo beautiful and clean. Each room has king size beds and private baths. Jan is so kind and willing to help make your stay perfect in any way she can. We will definetly return often. In fact we reserved the whole place for next year so we can enjoy it with our family.

I have been camping in Tionesta all my life and had never heard of this place- not sure how! It is such a cozy place, that's beautifully decorated, and just like home. It's also right along the river and would be a beautiful view on the screened in porch in the summer time. The owner was so helpful and kind. She made us breakfast bagels one day and breakfast pizza the next. I look forward to coming back again!

My Husband and I stayed at the Turtle Bay Lodge for a short weekend getaway early in May. Overall the place is beautiful. Very clean and welcoming. When we stayed there was no one else staying so we got a tour of the lodge and a couple other properties that are available for vacation rentals. The weather was still cold and rainy when we went so we could not take advantage of the kayaks and bikes that they had available for guest use. They have a really nice indoor pool too. The only complaint is that the Turtle dove cottage is sandwiched right in the middle of the main house the lodge and the pool house and had there been other guests there noise might me an issue. Actually one other issue, regarding the jacuzzi tub in the cottage, the water pressure was really bad, it took forever to fill it and the water just was not hot enough, the first night it was just barley warm at all.

This is a lovely resort on the Allegheny river. It's spacious, clean and a wonderful place to take a walk. Turtles, bald eagles and many other birds a visible likely to be seen. We've been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Excellent place to stay along the quite Allegheny River frontage, snuggled in a deep forest setting.
Leave your windows open to the forest sounds of night and the occasional waking of the geese along the river.
Ray and Jan are excellent host and provide the quality service one strives for, while staying at a bed and breakfast.
