Spend the night in an art gallery! Romantic bed and breakfast in charming Terre Hill (Lancaster County) a small town surrounded by Amish farms. Hear the buggies clip-clop past the inn, enjoy the innkeeper's colored pencil pictures in the art gallery, stroll through extensive flower gardens, or relax on Victorian porches. Gourmet breakfasts at the inn. The Olde Stone Cottage is a whole-house rental with two fireplaces, a full kitchen, and a whirlpool tub for two. It's perfect for romantic getaways or family reunions and even boasts a piano! The Sisters House provides enough room for your entire family. It has two side - the Stella and the Sophie, each with 3 bedrooms, two baths, a sun room, kitchen and family room. Bring your bikes or hiking boots, go kayaking, zip-lining or for a hot-air balloon ride. There are also other activities like shopping, antique collecting and learning about the local Amish.

We spent New Year's Eve and day in Sophie's side of the Sisters' House. This beautifully renovated carriage house is part of the Artist's Inn property and has accommodations upstairs and down. It is very comfortable and spacious. A beautiful enclosed porch is great for enjoying the sunrise and sunset as well as for the great view down into the valley. Innkeepers Jan and Bruce are easily within reach and always available to help in any way. We were invited to enjoy Jan's delicious creations from her fabulous Inn kitchen since it was a holiday and many of the people staying in or visiting the Inn for the day were longtime friends. Normally, the kitchen of each side of the Sister's House is stocked with an assortment of breakfast items that you can prepare for yourself. Regardless of which part of the Inn you reserve, a visit to Bruce's gallery in the Inn is a must. His colored pencil drawings and books will put a smile on your face all day.

We stayed at the Sisters House (owned by the Artist's Inn and nearby) just after Christmas, 2020, and it was great experience in every way. We're an extended family of nine, ranging in age from 6 to 85, and it's not easy to find a place that works for all of us. But this is it. For those who want to avoid climbing stairs: the Sisters House is actually 2 houses, joined in the middle. Each has 3 bedrooms--in fact, each side is the mirror image of the other side. There is a ground-floor bedroom in each house with an easily accessible shower. There was room to gather together and rooms we could retire to when we needed some peace and quiet. When a minor problem developed, Bruce was right there to fix it. I'm hoping we can come back again soon.

We stayed at the Artist's Inn for 2 nites. If was simply fabulous! Decorated wonderfully for the holiday. The room we stayed in was the Kris Kringle. Just a warm and inviting room decorated for Christmas. The room was much larger than most B&B's. The amenities were over the top. Soda, candies and fresh cookies everyday. Now the breakfast.. wow is all I can say. Over the top I must say. Large portions, selections of juices and cookies to end the meal. Everything was presented just gorgeous. Jan and Bruce the owners we so pleasant and the art work was beautiful and funny, very ingenious. Jan is the best cook and Bruce is a wealth of information. We have been to a lot of B&B's and we must say this without a doubt is the best yet. We so enjoyed our stay. We will definitely sty here again when we travel to Lancaster.

We’re just driving away from spending 4 days at this wonderful bed and breakfast. We leave with lemon bars from breakfast all packed up as well as some surprise extra treats. As my husband said when we left, “My god, you feel like a houseguest rather than a paying customer!” And he’s right - that’s says it all! We stayed in the garden suite and it was lovely and most comfortable. The breakfasts were unbelievable... filling and beautifully thought out and executed. Such a pleasure. Each morning we would push ourselves away from the table and roll out for our day’s activities. Get advice from Jan and Bruce on what to do and see, as well as where to eat. They give sage advice and send you off to the best places that suit your personal tastes. Everything they suggested was on point, from the unique Strasburg Scooters to the informative Amish Farm and House. Want an Amish quilt? Go to the unexpectedly delightful Obie’s. It’s an experience. Want a great dinner? They’ve got the suggestions! And on Thanksgiving, if this appeals to you, join them at the home of an Amish family for an amazing dinner and experience! I can’t say enough. A special memory. I like unflavoured cream with my coffee so Jan made sure there was a jug of cream in the upstairs fridge for the days that I made myself coffee in the handy Keurig. All in all, a wonderful place to stay and a lovely area to visit. And do enjoy Bruce’s beautifully detailed artwork. Lovely as well as whimsical. Thank you, Jan and Bruce, for a great Thanksgiving and attention to every detail. Also thanks for the wonderful chocolates with the nightly turndown.

We're glad you enjoyed the restaurant suggestions - that's one of our favorite "chores" - to keep up to date with the many wonderful restaurant choices in Lancaster County. We hope to see you again.

We just arrived home from a lovely three night visit at the Artist’s Inn. Our room was beautifully decorated and accommodated all of our needs, exceeding all expectations. The Inn was warm and comfortable with all the details that make it feel like home. Homemade chocolates left on the bed each night are a wonderful touch. The breakfast was extremely well prepared and presented in addition to being absolutely delicious each morning. Our hosts truly have the gift of hospitality! very reasonably priced! Highly recommended and central to all of Amish Country. The artwork in and around the inn is a bonus! Thank you for a wonderful visit,! We will be back!

Thank you so much for such a nice compliment. Yes, the turndown chocolates are a favorite of many guests - I use Wilber Chocolate from Lititz as a base...yummy! We hope you can visit again.
