Spend the night in an art gallery! Romantic bed and breakfast in charming Terre Hill (Lancaster County) a small town surrounded by Amish farms. Hear the buggies clip-clop past the inn, enjoy the innkeeper's colored pencil pictures in the art gallery, stroll through extensive flower gardens, or relax on Victorian porches. Gourmet breakfasts at the inn. The Sisters House provides enough room for your entire family. It has two sides - the Stella and the Sophie, each with 3 bedrooms, two baths, a sun room, kitchen family room and outdoor covered porch, BBQ and fire pit.. Bring your bikes or hiking boots, go kayaking, zip-lining or for a hot-air balloon ride. There are also other activities like shopping, antique collecting and learning about the local Amish.
Jan and Bruce the owners go out,of their way to accomodate their guests. Whether it be gluten free, low carb, etc they provide a breakfast that makes you feel special and well fed. The Inn is well decorated with Bruce’s art work, and beautiful antiques, al9ng with modern amemnities in the room like a jetted tub. We always enjoy our stays!

Thanks so much for your kind words. My good friend is gluten, dairy and sugar free and I know of her struggles. We want all of our guests to feel welcome - especially those who find traveling difficult due to dietary restrictions.

Jan & Bruce are great hosts. Friendly atmosphere. Delicious breakfasts. Everything was very clean. Very accommodating. The artwork is (intentionally) humorous. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again, if the opportunity arises.

When we decided we wanted to stay in the Lancaster area on the evening of August 29, 2023, we began our search for a place to stay. We decided we would like to experience a B & B rather than staying in a motel or hotel. We chose Artist's Inn and Gallery after looking at their website and reading their reviews. What a wonderful decision this turned out to be! From the moment that we arrived and meant Jan we were made to feel welcome and completely at ease in her home. It is a very comfortable and warm home which is enhanced by all the of her husband's artwork on display. We stayed in the 'Rose Room' and found it to be very relaxing and had a good night’s sleep in the bed provided. The next morning Jan provided us with a gourmet breakfast such as we have never experienced before. The delicious food was a uniquely colorful presentation. While eating, we had the pleasure of being able to visit with Jan and found her to be a kindred spirit. Our overall experience was absolutely excellent, and we plan to stay here again when visiting the area. We give The Artist's Inn and Gallery our highest recommendation.…

This was our first time staying at a Bed & Breakfast. Jan couldn't have been any sweeter. Made sure we had every we would need and then some. She cooked us a wonderful breakfast with peaches and pears from their trees on property. Bruce does lots of artwork and it's displayed throughout the home. If you enjoy B &Bs give this place a try you won't be disappointed. Joyce & Baxter

My husband and I love going to see Jan and Bruce (the owners) at the Artist's Inn. We normally stay at the Rose room. It's a lovely, very comfortable room. The breakfast is always so good and very filling (forget eating lunch later). Jan always works with any food allergies. The area is delightful and always so much to do. My favorite part of the visit is sitting on the front porch and just enjoying the atmosphere, especially the clop, clop, clop of the horses going by. You should go and find out for yourself.

We are regular guest at The Artist Inn & Gallery. Jan and Bruce the owners, are always wonderful hosts. The Inn is decorated in vistoria antique style with modern amenities. Our favorite part of every stay is the wonderful breakfasts they served. They accomodate special dietary needs (gluten free for us), and the meals are unique and delicious with ahelathy opener, an entree, and a treat for dessert. Will be back again and again!

Thank you James! We're always happy to accommodate special needs - it's challenging enough to travel; you shouldn't have to worry about where to eat! We are awaiting changes to your favorite room. The window treatments that I made years ago are starting to show some wear, so we're replacing them with new shades. Hopefully they will be installed by your next visit. Thanks so much for posting a review. It means the world to us.

Again we stayed at the Sisters Cottage. Jan always leaves a special treat for their guests. A full cookie jar as well. The cottage is very comfortable and roomy. A very quiet place to stay. We always find the sunroom a great place to sit back and relax. We make it a point to stay here often.and you still get to hear the horse and buggies that are famous in Lancaster. Thank you again Jan & Bruce.

For our 55th wedding anniversary, we chose to experience the Pennsylvania Dutch country. We explored the many options for BandB accommodations and were very impressed with what was written about the Artist Inn and Gallery. The Inn is situated on Main Street in the very peaceful town of Terre Hill. Jan and Bruce , the innkeepers, make your stay fun, relaxing and a culinary breakfast experience. The rooms are beautifully decorated in period fashion and very comfortable. You only have to go to the living room of the Inn to visit an art Gallery. Bruce’s art works are on display and I can guarantee the paintings will put a smile on your face.. The property has beautiful gardens and flowers thanks to Jan’s daily tending. Each Morning Jan prepares a four course gourmet breakfast for the guests. We never left the breakfast table hungry!, Artist’s Inn and Gallery is certainly a place I’d recommend fora Pennsylvania holiday.l …

The B&B is adorable, clean and has the most friendly and efficient staff with Jan and Bruce. Would highly recommend anyone stay here while visiting Lancaster. An added bonus is viewing and buying Bruce's whimsical artwork and Jan's fabulous breakfast that left us unable to eat again till dinner!! You feel right at home there.

This review is long overdue. We have been coming here forever! The Inn is our #1 choice of accommodations in Lancaster County. We absolutely loved staying at the Inn portion of the property and now we stay in the Sophie and Stella Sister House accommodations, which are right on the property. These accommodations are so comfortable. Our favorite place to hang out is the sun room. Jan supplies the best breakfast items so I don't need to bring anything with me, Jan and Bruce are wonderful hosts and always have time to chat even when they are super busy. I am an avid baker, but I look forward to having some of Jan's baked goods. Keep the cookies coming for my husband! Sometimes I fell like the Inn is our home away from home. See you guys again soon - Little Nina
