Took two grandchildren (8 & 11) to visit this working farm. We toured the big barn, milked a cow, visited and bottle fed new calves, saw where the calves are born, plus pigs and goats and chicken coop. Had a wagon ride through the fields with lots of time for questions. We also learned and participated in making ice cream... More

This was our second time visiting with our children. The first visit they were 18 months and 4.5 and now they are 3.5 and 6.5. Both visits were amazing for all family members. The family that runs the farm is super nice and we felt so at home. Both times we met very kind and friendly guests and had a... More

Verdant View Farm was everything we hoped it would be and so much more! The place is stunning, the owners are friendly and helpful and the room was clean, pretty and felt like home. Our 4 kids (ages 5-12) couldn't get enough of the animals (cows, chickens, goats, kittens and a dog) and the owners and workers gladly allowed them... More

We decided to stay here because my 11 year old son has been interested in farming and animals and neither of us care to much for crowds. It was everything we were looking for! My son go to feed a baby cow its bottle, milk a cow, play with baby kittens. The host was so accomadating and friendly. Breakfast was... More

Wonderful people! Delicious breakfast! Farm experience VERY memorable. BUT Room 2 with a shared bathroom had a horrible smell that made sleeping difficult and uncomfortable. Mold, mildew, (cats...maybe?) Bedding and towels clean, shared bathroom clean though old fixtures- this was not the problem. The carpet in the room or something in there was musty and unbearable. Hardly slept. Maybe better... More

Lovely & accommodating hosts. Beautiful, peaceful & fun for the whole family! Convenient to Strausburg Railroad & other attractions. Great breakfast too! It would be fun for a family reunion. We especially enjoyed the abundant cats, kittens and calves.

This was one of my favorite experiences in Lancaster County. Sleeping there was awesome, and hanging out there was really fun. Scooby the dog will bring usually bring you a rock or a tennis ball. You are not supposed to throw Scooby the rock, but you can throw him a tennis ball. You can milk the cows and feed the... More

This farm was a great experience for me and my family. They let you try to milk cows in the morning. You can also feed calves milk. The dog Scooby was really fun. If he brings you a ball, throw it. If he brings you a rock, don't throw it. There are lots of cats there. Overall I had a... More

We had a 12:30 Farmers' Apprentice workshop at the farm. We were able to go inside a chicken coop with the hens and look for eggs, pet and hold the hens, milk and feed the cows and goats, see pigs, kittens and bunnies. The tour was led by a sweet girl who let the kids play as much as they... More

So unlike any vacation we have taken. I have to say I was hesitant. The 2 days we spent on the farm were amazing! We loved being part / watching the dairy farm process and playing with ALL the animals. The host family was wonderful. Thanks!
