Not only are the accommodations very clean and pleasant, the grounds beautiful, the morning chores fun, there is something special about Verdent View Farms. The real heart of the place lies in the owners who are kind- hearted , thoughtful, warm, and...yes, hip. (But not in the skinny jeans and beard cream way.) There are plenty of great places to stay that are clean and pretty, but it's the vibe that the owners cultivate that makes this place a gem. In particular, breakfast together felt like a celebration of community. The fact that everything was so delicious seems almost parenthetical. My daughter found this place via google search and we booked our stay blindly... if you're on the fence about staying here, do not hesitate!
Excellent. Nice people, beautiful farm, great for kids. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. My 7 year old daughter was up at 7 every morning looking for eggs, milking cows, playing with baby goats. A lot of fun.
Very nice, charming and clean b&b. Elisa and Patrick are wonderful hosts. They recommended us delicious restaurants. They toured us their farm and we were able to interact with their animals and learn about the hard work and sustainable practices respectful for the wellbeing of the animals and the planet to deliver high quality products and services. We are definitely coming back again! Highly recommended !
"Best vacation ever!!" this is what my kids kept saying the whole time we were there. My husband and I along with our three daughters (ages 5, 3, 1) rented the entire White House for 3 nights. The house was great. All of the beds were very comfortable, usually I don't sleep well at all when we go away and I slept great every night here. Kitchen in the White House was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans which came in handy for lunch and dinner, there is a high chair and a toddler chair which was a big plus for us. Right outside the kitchen window is an Amish farm which was an awesome sight to see the horses working on the farm while eating our meals. Playground in the backyard was a great for kids of all ages to enjoy and adults too on the swings, nice and sturdy. The White House was just a short and enjoyable walk up to the farm. I was nervous about it being off a busy street, but to my surprise it didn't bother me at all and the street wasn't as busy as I had anticipated it to be. It was fun to see all the horse and buggys on the street. We all enjoyed the farm chores followed by a delicious breakfast every morning. The traditions of the farm breakfast are really sweet and it was nice to get to know the farmers and all of the other guests there during this time. The kids absolutely loved playing with, feeding, holding, and just in general being around all of the animals. They could be occupied all day just hanging around on the farm. Us adults also enjoyed just being on the farm, the wide open space, views, smells, and relaxed atmosphere it provided. We left feeling at peace, renewed, and refreshed. We look forward to coming back again real soon and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway!…
This was my first time staying solo at a Bed and Breakfast. VVF is very quaint, exceptionally clean and comfortable beds...very peaceful, calming setting...fun feeding the baby goats and chickens and greeting the every present farm fixture, Scooby...Elisa is awesome...friendly, warm..Uncle W. is full of great info and tidbits...and great conversation. Must read the info binder in the rooms...Introduction and job description of the Farms' owners and crew is hilarious!
