The sheets were very damp The Comforter was very damp The Pillows were very damp The Carpet was very damp The Room smelled of strong stale smoke The Toilet was dirty I would not recommend this hotel or stay in it again
Super 8 has always seemed too cut rate to try. But here we are. And it is surprisingly nice. The room is simple but pretty large. It's clean and well-maintained. The hotel is quiet. The surroundings are amazingly pretty. (We have our dog along - a reason for staying at this hotel - and the grounds are very pretty, almost pastoral. I am sure there are better motels in the area, but for the money, this is an excellent choice. Coffee and orange juice at free breakfast were good. Muffin, too. No other food offered, but that's OK.
This is the least expensive hotel in State College if you are traveling for PSU football or a special event. Beds uncomfortable. Had to ask for towels. Would expect at least to have beds made and trash emptied. And the FREE breakfast was a packaged muffin.
The hotel and room were clean, hotel staff was very nice. We were in town for a competition near Penn State, I would stay here again. There's an IHOP right in the parking lot if you want a bigger breakfast, the hotel had coffee and muffins maybe something else I just ran thru and grabbed those items. They were free so why complain. I had no issues with the hotel and compared to the prices of the other hotels near by it was very good considering I'm not in the rooms that much it was perfect!
Well kept property, grounds parking lot lobby etc. Full staff available and busy busy busy taking care of things but also very friendly. Room good ie beds tv mike fridge furniture space, Shower pressure so so but tidy bathroom with working fan. Pleasant smelling room with minor sign of cig burns from long ago. Big pics of local penn state scenes for headboards. Reasonably priced, we are definitely returning. Excellent coffee in breakfast room along with juice, tea, and prepackaged muffins in 3 flavors.
Super 8 in State College. PA is conveniently located yet just out if the way of the downtown hustle. The hotel is clean. The staff was friendly and parking spaces are spacious. The bed 🛌 are comfortable as well with very nice pillows.
Great staff and very nice location!! We did a road trip and booked last minute and they were very happy to accommodate us. Parking and WiFi was superb and the room was very clean. A must stay if you need a place to rest up!! Thanks. Enjoy and thank me later.
The staff are very pleasant. Rooms are dated, rugs, bed size, cable package could have been better. The dinning room or day room could use more then 1 t.v. The small 43" screen is not cutting it. The day room as well could have used updated furniture.
This hotel is dirty and tired. I understand that it is difficult to keep hotels clean and updated with the constant flow of guests, but this one was truly horrible, and was only chosen as a last resort with an unexpected change in the dates of our visit to the area. The carpets were stained with a horrible black ink type stain in our room, the water pressure in the sink was almost non-existent, and the smell of the room was barely tolerable. The gym was unexpectedly still closed due to "pandemic issues", as exactly described to us by the very unfriendly person working the desk when we checked in (who might have actually been the only person working at all at that point). Overall experience was very negative, and couples staying in rooms near ours expressed the same feelings. At the $200 rate we paid for the night, we felt something slightly better could be expected.…
Clean firendly property at a good price for the area. Close to the University and other places of intrest. A great place to stay if you are on a tight budget. Has an IHP restaraunt directly infront of it and other eating establishments near by.
