Wonderful experience we received during our stay. We had a late arrival and still received a super welcome from particularly Jordan. When we called to let Jordan know we would be arriving very late, Jordan was accommodating in supplying us with toiletries we needed. He was patient with how many times we asked for assistance and he could tell we were tired from our trip. We haven't experienced customer care in that manner for some time. We would definitely recommend Wyndham Super 8 to our friends and family especially when coming to visit at Penn State.

Very nice almost oversized well maintained room. The room was super clean with super clean towels an bedding - I don’t think the missed a spot, I was very happy with my accommodation overall. Checking in was a pleasure. Overall all members of the staff that I met and interacted with fr the Front Desk to the folks in Housekeeping were all professional, friendly and very helpful, I think State College Super8 is a great deal for all that get - I recommend the hotel an plan on being a repeat customer.

Free parking, pleasant staff, convenient location, free breakfast (fruit juices, toast, muffins, yogurt, cereal, waffles, hot chocolate, fruit, bagels.) Large TV with remote, air conditioner that worked well. Mini fridge. Sink, mirror, and hair dryer are located outside of the bathroom so that is helpful when there are four females getting ready in the morning. What I want to know is why hotels do not ever have enough towels in the rooms? If there are four to a room, shouldn't there be four sets of towels instead of three? Bogles my mind. The only problems that we had is there was a bulb burned out in the ceiling fixture and there was no hot water. Because there was no one at the desk on our way out to an appointment, I didn't get to report it. All in all, we trust that the hot water issue would be corrected and we would stay there again.

This hotel is dirty and tired. I understand that it is difficult to keep hotels clean and updated with the constant flow of guests, but this one was truly horrible, and was only chosen as a last resort with an unexpected change in the dates of our visit to the area. The carpets were stained with a horrible black ink type stain in our room, the water pressure in the sink was almost non-existent, and the smell of the room was barely tolerable. The gym was unexpectedly still closed due to "pandemic issues", as exactly described to us by the very unfriendly person working the desk when we checked in (who might have actually been the only person working at all at that point). Overall experience was very negative, and couples staying in rooms near ours expressed the same feelings. At the $200 rate we paid for the night, we felt something slightly better could be expected.

The hotal is dated which I don't have a problem with if it's clean. The room STUNK!!! Lysol wouldn't even mask the smell. The carpet was dirty with stains and one of the bed spreads was stained.
Doors are paper thin, can hear everything in the hallway.
Fri night when we checked in the reception desk staff were VERY nice and helpful. This is a hotel which provides "service" the girl setting up the breakfast should NOT be working in the service industry. She never once smiled or said hello to anyone, not even eye contact. Breakfast was NOT set up as indicated on all the signs.
I would never stay at this hotel again because of the smell and lack of cleanliness but will say if traveling with a dog, best outdoor space. If you do travel with a dog, if you can't keep your dog from barking you should not be staying in ANY hotel.
My "service" rating below was for the reservation clerk NOT the breakfast girl.

Even an 70$ motel can sell rooms for 300$ when it's moving in time at Penn State. I wouldn't even pay $70, rather stay at a small no-brand motel. So called breakfast is just dry packaged stuff you could pick up from a supermarket. Rooms are officially not cleaned for 3 days unless you requested for it. Don't tell a housekeeper on the floor to clean, cos she won't, even if she says yes, they all lie and smile while doing do. Inform receptionist early enough so they will send the housekeeper. Dustbins overflow but no one cares, complain about a bathtub drain block they give you the pump and tell you to clear it yourself....Amazing service for a 300$ room. They should be ashamed of selling something so cheap so astronomically high just because it's peak season. Not coming back ever.

Our room was spacious and pleasant. Heater/AC was old but worked fine. Toilet/shower room very small. Breakfast was not too exciting, but what they had was well-stocked and the attendant stayed on top of things. For the value our stay was good.

It's not terrible, but I'm certain I can find a nicer hotel in the same price range. I was not given information that I was going to be charged $10 per night for incidentals when I checked in, not just holding my card information like I'm used to. Then when I checked my balance the next day, nothing had been taken out. So the employee apparently didn't know what she was talking about. The elevator constantly smells of fumes, I think coming from the fan that looks very dirty. The floor isn't particularly clean, many window latches throughout the building are broken, as is most of the equipment in the exercise room, and the heaters need to be serviced or replaced. I wasn't told about any of the COVID changes or given the wifi information when I checked in either. There was also quite a bit of dirt at the top of the shower, which I found when trying to find a place to put my bar of soap, so the shower is not cleaned thoroughly.

They over charged me by $218 and then refused to refund it without making me jump through hoops. The staff behind the counter acted like it wasnt her problem and she refused to give my money back. I ended up canceling my next couple nights, which caught the attention of one of the managers who couldn't be bothered to come in when it initially happened. The janitor was vomiting in the hallway trashcan. It was reported and they said “yeah he does that sometimes”.

The rates are much more reasonable than the rest of State College, which is WAY overpriced. The room is fine, the location is super - near the Giant grocery store, restaurants and shopping. Bagged breakfast worked out well in order to keep patrons social distanced, and I loved that there was a coffee/tea/decaf station available 24/7!

Sorry for the delay in reply! Beaver Stadium is located just 2 miles from our property. If you make a right out of our property onto South Atherton, the next red light is University Drive, which will take you right to the Stadium. There is also a shuttle service during football games that picks up along South Atherton and drops you in front of the stadium for only a few dollars. Hope this helps!
