Quiet location. Very private. We stayed in the New Building. Spacious room, gas fireplace, great shower. Bed comfy; could use some new pillows. Small fridge w separate freezer, little sink and coffee pot. Staff friendly and always helpful. Restaurant was great both nights. Way more food than one person should eat - but all excellent. Nice wine list. Snowed while we were there march 26, but just an inch on grass. Great views from New Maison rooms. Spa massage was excellent and we do massage regularly.

I booked a spa getaway for me and my best friend thinking this was a top notch place, well we got there nov 19th and left on the 21st i paid between my deposit n stay almost 2,000.00 our room was the turret suite, we had no hot water during our stay and they said they were going to accommodate me by a discount on my bill, thinking i paid like 600.00 per nite maybe they will either give me a free nite or maybe 50% off per nite for not being able to shower in our room, well during ck out they gave me 50.00 ARE YA KIDDING ME!!!!!!!! We had no hot water the whole weekend. Very overpriced and you think your getting meals included but they charge more per meal then what the alot you so your acually paying!!!! Will never ever go there again, i tried reaching out to them but they arent getting back to me so figured id give them a review as this shouldnt happen when you are paying 600.00 per nite for your room! Plus our spa and meals! I could have went on a cruz for 5 days for the amount i was charged!

We were new to the area, booked them for our Thanksgiving and anniversary celebration. We loved the look of the establishment, and talked about potentially coming back; however that all changed. we were seated, waited well over 10 min for someone to take our drink order. Every single waiter, the bartender, and the hostess walked past our table a minimum of 4 times. not one person asked if we had been waited on, two tables came in after us and received immediate attention and got their drinks right away. we got up and left as it appeared not one person owned our table for service. the hostess did not even inquire as to reason we were leaving. to top it off they never logged us in as arriving for our open table reservation, they cancelled it in the system so we would not provide a review via that system.

A great spot for a quiet getaway. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity, but if you are here to unwind and decompress, this lovely property will do just fine. Those who like architectural detail will love the main manor with its slate roof and beam construction in the dining room. Breakfast was plentiful, flavourful, and well presented and served. Overall a good and memorable stay

I seldom take the time to write reviews, but I can't let this happen to another person. My family all went to the French Manor Inn and Spa for my son's wedding. The next day we girls all went to the Spa. The bride, Maid-of-Honor, and sister of the groom all had massages, and I (mother of the groom), had a pedicure. The services were wonderful. But when we went to take showers afterward, we were met with cold water that just would not warm up. When rinsing the shampoo off my head the water felt like ice shards--it took my breath away. My daughter said the cold shower RUINED her massage. I don't know why I was surprised, because the water in our room wasn't warm either! The shower was a single stall in a room with a single toilet down the hall from the lockers. We had to perch our things on the sink and throw our clothes over the toilet stall door to keep them off the wet floor. The locker/shower was very inadequate. What would the French Manor do if they actually had more than 1 or 2 people trying to shower at one time? The bride's sister showered in the men's single-stalled room. Furthermore, the lighting in the bridal suite was dim and yellow. In order to put our wedding makeup on, we resorted to dragging a chair by a window, and opening the door to let light in! Finally, there are virtually no TV channels, nor HBO, Showtime, nor anything else. There is no reason to have a TV in the room if there are no programs to watch.

The dinner was overpriced for the amount of food received. The Lamb Loin was accompanied by a fingerling potato that was sliced like a carrot and one sprig of brocollini that looked like a piece of parsley. Not enough for a hearty eater at $58. The Lobster Bisque was tasty, but not one piece of lobster in it. The service was good, but the dinner was disappointing.

Absolutely peaceful. Beautiful room with the most comfortable bed. Nice terrace to sit and read and relax. Pretty hiking trails on property (with a bear sighting, but he ran off afraid of us). Great indoor pool, totally quiet and constantly cleaned with nicely folded towels placed on chairs. Beautiful seating areas set up in gardens. Absolutely amazing dining room, with fireplaces and piano. Wonderful, delicious, food with friendly service. Great breakfast on stunning outdoor terrace. It was perfect for us to have dinner in the dining room and breakfast on the terrace. Come for a completely peaceful getaway and leave relaxed.

I planned a Bachelorette Weekend for a group of four for a weekend. We did the Girlfriends Spa Getaway package, and stayed in the Soleil and Sante Spa Suites. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and had lovely jacuzzi tubs and big balconies. The beds were so comfortable! We spent Friday at the spa and enjoyed all of our treatments (massage, facial, pedicure), the pool, hot tub, and sauna. We appreciated that the spa had robes, slides, lockers, changing areas, a bathroom with a shower, etc. since we did our spa treatments before we had access to our rooms. We ate dinner at the restaurant on the property that evening, and it was nice overall, but very expensive for what it was (our total for four with appetizers, entrees, and two cocktails each was $450 before tip). Everything seemed to be over seasoned - either too salty (lobster bisque, pork belly) or too sweet (baked brie, cocktails). Our entrees were very good though! We got the lamb, surf and turf, scallops, and duck - all were delicious! Breakfast was delicious, although the service was a bit slow (they were definitely under staffed but everyone was working hard to get us our food). They had a lot of choices, and the portions were hearty. I would highly recommend the Girlfriends Spa Getaway package because of the credits to the spa and restaurant, they definitely were worth it, and we really enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect relaxing girls weekend to celebrate the bride to be! We will certainly be back!

The French Manor was a lovely and very quiet and private stay. My girlfriend and I stayed for our anniversary and it was top notch! Very nice well kept grounds. Beautiful rooms. It was very private indeed and ver relaxing. We had a couples massage…Shout out to Shelby (whatever you did to my neck, I highly recommend to all). The food was excellent, dinner was top drawer (highly recommend steak and lobster. Breakfast? 🤔😔…let’s just say, they were short staffed. Good food, but not worth the wait… maybe worth considering a local place.. All and all a wonderful stay! I highly recommend!

This is without question a beautiful getaway in the middle of nowhere. The Inn is quaint - the views amazing. We did a day trip to Jim Thorpe as there is really nothing to do within 30 miles other than read a book or hike around the property. The dinner we had on a Friday night was disappointing. The fish was very overcooked, the pork belly very dry, and overall menu was not what one would expect with the "French" vibe. It took 15 minutes (not exaggerating) to get a cocktail and there were only about 4 other tables dining at the same time. Service was very slow, but then we figured they are accustom to people having no where else to go, so why not? The 2nd night we ventured to a place called The Hotel (about 10 miles away) which is very casual, but OUTSTANDING food and service! We had prime rib that was absolutely delicious, and overall meal experience was exceptional compared to our meal at the French Manor (and 60% less expensive). Turns out the chef at The Hotel USED to be the chef at the French Manor. They should have kept him! Breakfast at the French Manor is great - no complaints and the morning servers/staff far exceed those on a Friday night. All in all a nice 2 night get away, but we will not do it again.
