The French Manor is beautiful! No question that the quiet and the views are the best part. We got massages and they were first class! A great way to start the get away. The room was large and well cared for. Some of the elements were slightly older, but still ok. Every morning when we returned from breakfast, the room was already made up, which was a nice touch. The service was far better during the week than on the weekend. They seem understaffed on weekends which is reflected in the food quality and service. The front desk is not staffed which is challenging. It was hard to get in touch with someone on the phone ahead of arrival as well as when we needed assistance. You need to ring the bell for service and someone working the dining room may or may not hear it and come over to the front desk. Breakfast is well done, but they are definitely overwhelmed with the number of guests. The fruit plate with breakfast was a lot smaller on the weekend than during the week. The dinner dining experience is wonderful! The ambience is fantastic and the bartender and service were excellent. The food was expensive and just "ok." We did not care for the cheesecake. Being so close to NY, we were hoping for something homemade. Instead it was rather gummy. One night we went to "Overboards" for dinner, and the food was far better at half the price. All of that being said, we would absolutely go back! I think they just need to pay a little more attention to the fine details to really take it to the next level.

Our suite was spacious and clean, with a wonderful view of the landscape beneath. The interior was tasteful and functional. Sleep quality was excellent. We enjoyed a short hike in the surrounding area before dinner. The dinner was the highlight of our visit. Delicious food from a surprisingly wide menu. We were one of only three parties that night, so spacing was guaranteed. Service was attentive and professional. Bonus points for the cozy interior and the soft jazz on the speakers. The ambiance made us stay longer than planned--and eat more as well.

I did the girlfriend getaway with 2 friends and stayed in the Genevieve suite, which is in the carriage house. Plenty of room for 3 people, although 1 person has to sleep on a cot-like bed. Buildings are really pretty. Spa was very clean. Massage was very good. Facial was just ok, but relaxing. Had dinner in the restaurant, which was beautiful, delicious, and expensive. ($55 entrees). Breakfast, which came with the package, was served in the dining room as well, and also yummy. People were extremely accommodating. We will be back. (Bonus; electric charger for my car. They had both a Tesla and a non-Tesla, which was very convenient). While here, we visited Jim Thorpe, which is an adorable town about an hour away, which I recommend.

I booked a girls spa weekend getaway for my birthday. Upon arrival we had to wait to get checked in, no one was available. Our room was nice; however, behind the end table I found an empty clear small plastic bag with food crumbs inside of it. The coffee pot was dirty (still had coffee residue in it ) the coffee maker had a used coffee filter inside of it. Our spa appointments were book at the different times and hours apart which did not allow of much time to do any other activities because we had to wait for one another and our massages were booked for the morning (11am -12pm) while our facials were book in the late afternoon (3:30 -4:30). Facials were horrible. Bridget did the facial with extraction and didn’t extract any blackheads (I removed them upon arrival to my room) the message wasn’t a massage just a body treatment which wasn’t that great either. Rebecca did the massage and she kept talking about her kids when I just wanted to relax quietly. I’d tried calling downstairs multiple time and no one answered the phone. Had breakfast in bed a d they forgot the coffee tried calling the front desk to have it brought to us and no one answered. I walked over to the building rang the bell several times and no service provided. I stood there waiting for about 15 minutes and no one ever came to the front desk. My sister and I are so disappointed. We spent so much money for a decent getaway and got nothing. With the amount of money we spent we could’ve taken a trip overseas. And it could’ve been an all inclusive stay at that! During dinner the one waiter Donnie kept asking my sister and I if we were sharing an entree! Like who does that! I’m disgusted and will never recommend this place to anyone. In fact. When my friends back home ask about my stay here they will hear these exact same words! I mentioned these things to Jude the manager from the restaurant because he was the only I’ve spoken with since I’ve been here and all he could say was sorry! Honestly, sorry doesn’t cut it in this situation. It’s not genuine. And if they really cared about their reputation here they’d try to find a way to make it up to the customers by at least providing some sort of discount on their stay!

We stayed two nights at the San Remo suite. Although the suite was the smallest of the rooms that they have it was quite nice. We requested a coffee maker and they provided one. The dinners we had at the restaurant were spectacular! Breakfast in the room was also wonderful and filling. I did not meet one person there that was less than accommodating. We meet the Owner on our time there and was a very nice person and seen that our stay was quite enjoyable. We will definitely make another trip up there soon!
