We recently stayed in site #17. The staff was so helpful and friendly. In fact everyone we met there (such as other campers) were so friendly and willing to help. Our site was spacious and nicely wooded. Where we were was close to the road so you could hear some road noise. It didn't bother us as it wasn't very loud. We were able to sleep and have normal conversation. In fact we didn't hear it in the camper at all. If we were more in the middle or the other side of the campground we wouldn't have heard it. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return

I was put on a site that was too small for my camper, the way they mapped me to my site was incorrect, and I ended up causing damage to my camper. When I went the way they told me and it was a road made for cars in the permanent site only. I caused about $800 in damage to my camper, other campers came out and said it happens all the time because Steph sends you the wrong way. Double check that your camper can fit on the site you are given and confirm access to the site is big enough for your vehicle and trailer.

My husband and I stay there for a week at the end of August. During the week the campgrounds were like a ghost town. Seems like the weekends are when the activities occur. The office staff and maintenance man were very helpful and plesant but left at 3pm each day. Our site was located near the entrance to the park Off of route 78. Route 78 is a major thoroughfare especially for semi trucks. The Constant noise from the trucks day-and-night was a problem. We did not have a decent night's sleep for the entire week. The public areas of the park where well maintained. The bathrooms were very clean but in need of major updates. They do offer free cable TV, but you have to pay for Wi-Fi if you want it, $5.99 per day. I would rather have free wi-fi than cable TV where half the channels are religion based. There are plenty of RV parks to choose from in the area and I would probably select another if we decide to return to the area.

We stayed over the 4th of July weekend so the campground was full. Since we're 45' and tow a Ram 1500, they put us in the pull-through sites which are buddy sites and very close together. Upon driving in, our antennas hit some overhead power lines getting to our site. Our site was plenty long for both the MH and truck, but was not level. The fire rings (one on each end because of the buddy site arrangement) were very close to our rig and toad. There is a nice pool, fishing pond, a big grassy area, and mini golf. Because of the arrangement of the pull-throughs being buddy sites, and the low hanging power lines, we probably would not stay here again.

We had an amazing stay and have nothing but RAVE reviews. The accommodations were amazing, really cool stuff to do, pool, activities, very family oriented. I can say that although my husband and I don't have small kids anymore, it was still a peaceful experience and it was great watching the kids have fun. Restaurant on prem, people are so nice, you get the best of all worlds, a true RV park, beautiful surroundings but the convenience of a store, restaurant, pool. They even had an awesome band that played 4th .of July weekend. The sites are clean well cared for. I would HIGHLY recommend Appalachian Camping Resort, you will NOT be disappointed. PS this was our first time here and we will for sure be coming back every chance we get. The pricing is VERY reasonable. Diamond in the woods for sure. SL New York

Enjoyed our cabin stay. Used the mini fridge and coffee pot. Loved the amount of space and big shaded trees. Porch swing and condition of cabin were great. The 5 mph speed limit was perfect for pets and kids.
