The restoration of this property is unbelievable from top to bottom in showcasing a bygone era of elegance, and the attention to period detail is perfection. We stayed in the Buhl Mansion’s Grand Gables the week of July 4th. The room was larger than online pictures indicate and beautifully appointed with comfort in mind. It’s the little extras (vases of flowers and brownies with your turn-down service, the smiles and “good morning” or “good night” greetings as you pass by) that contribute to treasured memories and sets this guesthouse apart. The staff here is over-the-top with personality and guest satisfaction talent in their efforts to make guests feel welcome and pampered 24/7. They did not disappoint! This isn’t just another B&B accommodation; this becomes your home and your family for the length of your stay. You request, they provide... in abundance! While we are “basics only, nothing fancy” eaters, their breakfast offerings are culinary delights presented with beautiful, artistic flair. As an example of their concern for your ultimate dining experience, the Chef came out to ask if we had any dietary limitations because we asked for simple eggs, bacon, toast and fruit. For us, there was nothing to improve upon what is already offered - a step back in time for one glorious week. Thank you to all! We have scheduled our return in 2020.

My husband and I had never heard of Buhl Mansion until we won the high bid at a charity auction for a luxury stay including dinner at Tara. Our win coincided with our 35th anniversary. From the very first inquiry for reservations right up to check out, we were treated to excellent service and a luxurious experience. The mansion is breathtaking. We stayed in the Artists Room on the 3rd floor and loved how comfortable and quiet it was. Because we had an early check-in, we were also able to tour just about all of the beautiful rooms. Each is unique and beautifully decorated. We loved that we could walk to The Winner as well as the famous shoe store and still have plenty of time to enjoy reading in the beautiful garden, high tea in the parlor and the champagne reception before dinner. The limo ride to Tara was also extremely nice. Our candlelight dinner with live piano at Tara (under same management) was quite nice, although a few of our 7 courses left us wondering what happened in the kitchen. The service was fantastic, so by no means were we disappointed. So many special touches made this memorable - the fresh flowers, abundant art pieces and paintings, turn down service, chilled bottle of champagne and a hot breakfast served in the lovely sunroom were superb. Our only regret is that it ended all too soon.

We first saw Buhl Mansion 25 years ago before it was restored. We were staying at its sister property, Tara. We kept saying that we were going to make it back there, and we finally did. It was wonderful. We stayed in the Artist's Loft. It was perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive. We were welcomed to the Inn with complimentary champagne. I called ahead and asked if they could serve my husband a Guinness instead of champagne to which they happily obliged. We got massages at the spa, had dinner at Stonewall's and breakfast in our room. Breakfast was delicious. It was a wonderful overnight getaway. Definitely worth the time and money.

We had an amazing anniversary weekend at this beautiful place. The service we received was exceptional. The staff is very accommodating and everyone there goes out of their way to make sure your stay is exceptional. I would highly recommend that anyone thinking of a relaxing or romantic getaway immediately book a trip here! You will not be disappointed. Every room is unique and just as beautiful as the next. I really enjoyed the history and story of Buhl Mansion. We got to know all of the staff by name and everyone always referred to us by name as well. We will definitely be back!

Greeted with offer of champagne, a mansion tour, and luggage taken to bedroom, it was a delightful winter retreat! They booked us dinner at the country club. We returned to nighttime treats, champagne, flowers and an evening in the jacuzzi. Breakfast in the dining room was a special delight, and we met the chef and heard her secrets. From the moment we arrived we were pampered with cordiality and accommodation. We see why some people return again and again trying the different rooms!
