I'm sitting in the room now as I type this and talking to the kids in the Kids Cabin with three bed/one bunk set. They are thrilled, playing on Ipads and they said this place is better than Disney. For them, it has been! They love the water park and were maybe a little too old for story time, but they enjoyed enough. We did not get any paw passes for our 24 hour visit and we definitely didn't need it. The candy store offers free grey ears and that draws you to spend. They had offers if you spend $50, you get a "free" Great Wolf Build a Bear (already stuffed). So my 6 year old was thrilled! We made a penny and the machine. We arrived at 1:30pm and the room was ready, do we were already happy! Kayyn checked is in and was super friendly. She answered all questions and felt truly welcomed. The water park is fantastic. If you look for faults, you can find them such a rust. Its clean, the safety precautions are good to prevent slipping. We didn't eat here but did go pick up food elsewhere and it was fine. The two issues I. an be critical a out: 1. There was a ug in the bed and sent a video to housekeeping in their new "Willow assisted" app. Noone seemed to really care but it aas one bug and it was killed in 40 seconds. I can see how some would make this a big deal. 2. The construction at night trying to sleep at 2am was an issue particularly because the site reminds everyone of "quiet time" from 11pm to 7am. However the contractors outside didn't get the message. Again, messaged the housekeeping Willow app and was advised there was work being done in the water park. We got up, it was annoying. Again, I can see how people can make a big deal about it. Overall, its a great trip. we felt welcomed and safe and kids loved it. There are plenty of towels in the room! Tips: 1. To save at Build a bear, bring your previously made bear and get a new outfit. Its a $30 savings! 2, Microvwaves are on floor 3, not on the floor we are on on two. I thought we'd have one in the room. Good news- gets your steps in! 3. Bring scissors to cut wristbands 4. Brings snacks /food/water bottles to save! 5. One night is enough as a getaway

Right when we reached, it was a construction sight. Some of the attractions were closed due to renovations. Our room was ok, but for a room to sleep 6 people, it was small. Bathroom was even smaller! and the balcony was of no use. Locked by them because of construction going on. So I mean the $872 for 2 nights and 3 days, for a room that the bathroom is the size of closet, and a balcony I couldn't use was way overpriced. I didn't even have Soap or anything on the day we arrived, just body lotion. I mean they are very stingy with the size and all...The food was not what I thought food would be at an indoor water park. I mean it was below par, from breakfast all the way to dinner. The amount of money people pay to stay there you would think you have better food options. Breakfast was horrible and looked, and tasted stale. EVERYTHING THERE WAS OVER PRICED! You literally pay ball park prices for 12oz beer ($8.00-$12.00) The water park was decent out of the whole thing, but even that i would only give a 4 or 5, out of 10 stars. Thats because some area's weren't as clean as others. So like dead bugs on the side, by the wave pool, and like greenish-brown substances covering the drainage.

This was our second time at the water park and may be our last until the upgrades are complete and more options for food are added. The hotel itself is currently under construction which is admittedly a frustration point of mine for this stay. Overall I would say that they did an acceptable job of keeping the construction effort away from guests, but you were still met with some attractions that were closed, room balcony's you could not use, and the view from the room being one of a construction site vice the surrounding landscapes. The magic quest game has been upgraded since our last stay and was a pretty positive experience. Both my kids enjoyed it and the directions each terminal provided to my 5 year old she was able to follow. Only down sides here were some of the game terminals did not pick up on the wand unless you were basically touching it with the wand (F@#$ the dragon game.. seriously) and the elevators are incredibly slow, so if you are traveling with someone who needs an elevator this game will be very slow as you have to move rapidly between all the floors to play. The water park itself was very fun but if you have anyone older than 12, they may find they don't have as much to do as the younger kids here. Due to construction the outside pool was closed and I think the adventure park (bridges, ziplines etc.) was also closed but I did not look for it. They have other attractions such as mini golf and a arcade but again these are obviously targeted towards younger kids. Not going to dock them points for this as I think that is there target audience, but just a note for those with older kids. Food is very overpriced and subpar quality and is the main reason I am hesitant to stay here again honestly. Every meal for my family (me, wife, and 2 kids) at the loose moose buffet (main restaurant) cost us about $80 with taxes and tip. They do have meal passes which would have lower the overall cost a bit, but for the quality of the food you are getting it is still unacceptably high. They are already charging you at a high rate for the activities, they could at least cut some slack by having breakfast included. Bring your own food for lunch and breakfast if you can but be warn they only have microwaves in the room. We stayed in a kids cabin, which has a "cabin" in the room for the kids with it's own beds, TV and light. It's a cool idea and the kids loved having their own space. It was nice to have some separation at night for the adults to unwind without disturbing the kids too much. Room was clean, bed's were comfortable enough. No real complaints here. The biggest reason I would not recommend Great Wolf is the price gouging to the extreme. They offer "passes" for the activities which does lower the price until you go the activities just for them to tell you one thing or the other isn't included and you have to pay extra. Want late checkout? extra charge. Want to check in early? extra charge Got a meal pass but kid doesn't want a burger, wants pizza. Extra Charge. Got a pass for magic quest? extra charge because your kid wants a pink wand instead of the pale brown one they include I know that is standard practice at amusement park type locations but for what you are getting the prices are high even for those types of locations. The main reason I would recommend Great Wolf is if you are traveling with younger kids and want a one-stop shop for a weekend trip. There is plenty to do here to keep the kiddos entertained for a weekend. The water park is filled with life guards who keep a close watch on the pools and rides at all times. I never felt like any of the staff was goofing all while working, especially around the pool areas. The staff also works very hard to have activities throughout the day to keep the kids entertained and having fun which any parent appreciates. Long story short, as long as you don't mind high prices and mediocre food options to have a one stop shop to keep 1 to 9 year olds infinitely entertained in a safe environment Great Wolf Lodge is for you. Just maybe look for a coupon or two.

Crazy times with COVID, Monkeypox, etc., And so my family has been increasing our travel budget -- so we can make sure we stay in hotels that we can trust. What about The Great Wolf at Poconos? Room usually costs 4-500 USD to sometimes more than one grand -- we thought this should be a fine place. In fact, we were a returning customers as my 3-year old had quite some fun previously. Prior to this visit, we also actually said so much good things about this place to other friends with kids. Now, let's review the facts of what happened to our stay on Sep 04 -- a big part of our Labor Day 4-day trip: #1. Checked in at about 430pm, and found 1X used "cleaning cloth (see pic)", 1X used towel, and 1X faulty shower valve with loose screws. #2. Hotel offered to clean our room again, but the management refused to host us in another room, or make any other compensation for this disgusting experience. #3. Head of housekeeping said she couldn't understand "where the anger is coming from" when we complained about the decision. #4. We were informed unless we decided to leave, the management will not offer any other compensation to this situation. == Been on the front line dealing with customers, I found the approach taken by the various reps/mgt/decision makers we talked at The Great Wolf -- significantly disappointing. Fact #1 says a lot of the quality control SOP and that's not the problem of the housekeeper that prep-ed our room. #2 is not making this experience any better -- it's like you find a fly in your salad, and the restaurant's remedy is to simply get it out and says to you "Bon Appetite!" #3 -- That's exactly the rep's job to understand customers' concerns. But nope, all we heard was the same thing -- just like saying "stop whining! We got it cleaned so live with it!" #4 was probably the most ridiculous thing to hear. By the time we finished these meaningless conversations, it was already ~7pm. What could we do? Just leave and sleep in the car, and continue our Labor Day trip? The resort's reactions to our case said a lot about this place -- from SOPs to training to culture. This will not be a place we can trust and no, never coming back to the Great Wolf the next time we visit Poconos.

Almost everything was wrong during our two days stay at the Great Wolf Lodge in Poconos. Works are undergoing and we were not warned about this at reservation or before coming there. As a result access to balconies is closed and noise starts early in the morning. Access is possible only from the main entry and this means long corridors walks. The resort has very poor restaurants offer, practically one buffet (open only for breakfast and dinner), a Dunkin' Donuts, a pizza place and a junk food kiosk near the pool. No reasonable dining choice, no reasonable coffer to be bought. Internet access in the rooms was bad. Facilities for kids mediocre. Prices of everything were high. No housekeeping for two days stays.

Booked a 3 day stay at the resort for family before the summer ends, took about a 2 hour drive from NJ. And let me just say that it wasn’t the best at all. Check in was easy and the front desk staff was nice, the food was decent, restaurant staffs was friendly as well but for the price we paid for the food, we could’ve gotten it on the outside of the resort instead. We had 7 people (including me, 5 adults and 2 kids) and the price we paid at the buffet overall was $158 plus tip. That is way too much!! Now the hotel, we got the Loft Fireplace Premium Suite and as soon as we got in, I could already tell the it needed a lot of TLC. The carpet was wet, I could smell the odor of it. The beds was not comfortable, the sheets had blood stains (not very sanitary.) The pillows was not very comfortable at all as well, I had already neck pains by the next morning already. And do not get me started on the so called “pull out sofa bed,” my brother in law had to sleep on such a very uncomfortable situation. You could feel the metals poking out of that thing! And the fireplace was not safe at all, like literally God forbid that someone could trip and hit their head on those stones! My 3 year old is wild and he ran around that room a lot, but thank goodness nothing happened. Wifi sucked, it was very spotty. If it wasn’t for the construction going on and if they could left the balcony opened at least, then maybe I could’ve a 3 star. Now unto the waterpark, not bad but could’ve been better. Some rides were closed though because once again, the construction outside. We booked a cabana which caused $200, it was worth it because it was way better than our room. Staff and waitress was great, but some of the lifeguards was rude as f***! We were at the lazy river, and as we were trying to get on one of the floats, we tried to get some of the floats out of the way because there were all stacking up around us, we put some on the side of the concrete but the lifeguard just put them all back where we were at, I was already struggling with my kids on my hands and yet she had to be so EFFIN rude! Do they just make fun of us? Instead of helping and doing their job the right way, all they really do is just stand and watch us struggle. Ugh I never experienced such rude customer service! My kids did have a great time but I would never go to this was waterpark or resort ever again, next family waterpark trip would most likely go somewhere else. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all!!! 👎🏼

Went for a mid week visit. Water Park, hotel and staff and rooms were good, dated but it looks like there doing vast improvements. The people visiting are the only issue, which the park really can’t control. The food is lacking but ample quantity’s, just not quality

Mold on back of couch cushions, bugs in room and no care from great wolf lodge staff. All we get is a generic “thanks for the feedback”. This was at the Williamsburg VIrginia. Would not recommend!!!!!

Booked online, room cancelled on the way, able to get day passes. Charged for the original room, day passes and then charged again for day passes. No empathy from the staff at Poconos, unable to resolve and they state will take 5 to 10 business days for the refund/release of the original reservation and hold fee of the day passes. They made the mistake and they do not care about resolving the matter. Have been going to Great Wolf for a few years, 7ish times a year... this may be my last visit.

Visited 7/25 to 7/28. Second year visiting and was not disappointed. True , there’s construction going on , but if you do your due diligence and actually read the small print while booking , you will not be caught off guard . Outside pools and activities are closed , so are the balconies and patios , they are putting in new siding. I didn’t go there to spend time at the balcony or patio so my family didn’t care . It’s dated , yes , that’s why there’s construction going on. Unless you plan on staying all day in the room you won’t notice or hear construction . Overall the room ( Grizzly Suite) was amazing and comfortable, no problems with cleanliness. We even turned in the fireplace at night for a family “camp out and story time”. The food was good , I have 4 teenagers and two smaller kids so the meal package was a good deal for us : breakfast and dinner buffet plus 100 dollars for lunch . The water park was fun, however it’s dated and it shows wear. But it wasn’t unsafe in anyway. On the other hand, the water park bathrooms were dirty and had rust marks on the floor by the sinks ( bathroom near the kiddie pools), also certain pools looked like they needed a good scrub. The lazy river was the worst, the bottom is stained and looks dirty . The kiddie pools were fun and looked clean . Wave pool was great and the adult hot springs pool was great , perfect to sip a cool drink while the kids were at the slides . The slides were fun , only issue were not enough attendants , they had one person overseeing 4 slides , hard to ensure safety . Overall, I feel It was worth the money , the kids had plenty of fun, and we will definitely return once it’s completely renovated .
