we headed to pens colony and ended up at hotel saxonburg for a wonderful evening! we stayed the night upstairs after a fabulous meal in the tavern. the owner came to our table to check on how everything was going and she could not have been more pleasant. the food from start to finish was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented....

Me and my husband stayed here while we were in town for a wedding last weekend and had a wonderful experience! The rehearsal dinner was at the hotel, and the food was outstanding! We checked in early to get our keys, so we had no problems getting in late at night after the wedding was over. The owner and the...

I had the pleasure of spending an evening at the Hotel Saxonburg recently (though not my first visit!). It is a charming restaurant with a bed and breakfast above. You walk in and feel as if you've stepped back in time. All of the furnishings of the "hotel" are classic Victorian, yet with all the modern amenities. There is a...

Horrible business. I booked every room at this hotel for my wedding night. When we got to the hotel around 1130 after a long and crazy day these people locked up the hotel. No one was there. No one answered the phone. Judy, the hotel manager, promised me that she would have staff there for my bride and me when...

We have eaten there quite often but probably won't go back for a while. Of the four dinners, 3 were not very satisfactory. One steak was very rare and had to be cooked further to the requested medium. My husband had fish and chips. He said the fish (tilapia) wasn't very flavorful and the texture was soggy. I had flounder...

We got married on 12/7/2013 at Cooper Hall. Initially our reservations were to stay at the Love Cottage at Armstrong Farms. When I got to AF with some of my bridesmaids, there was no heat on in the house and it smelled like an old musty hunting camp. We could not get dressed there as it was so cold you...

Food was amazing! Five star but rates unbelievably low. Excellent head chef. Accomodations were delightful; like stepping back in time, but with modern amenities. Common room was perfect. There is a shared bath, tho'. A chalkboard to schedule times in bath wouldve been helpful.

For the price, this little hotel in the heart of charming Saxonburg is a nice place to stay. On the positive side the rooms are decorated very nicely and feel very cozy, even though a bit small. The common area that the guests share is large and contains a Keurig coffee maker, juice, muffins, breakfast cereal, fruit, etc. The TV...

The Hotel Saxonburg is a quaint little B&B in Saxonburg. Each room has its own unique appeal and the hotel is ideal for small groups traveling together (we rented out the place for our group). The restaurant and bar downstairs is not all that loud and it quite convenient. The rooms are small, but have all the necessities. Morning breakfast...

This was the worst place I have ever stayed at. Access to the rooms is inconvenient. You are staying above a restaurant, so all during the day and into the late evening, there is constant noise and smells of cooking food. I would definitely not recommend staying here on a weekend, when the noise can be unbearable. The owner was...
