Stopped at Husky Haven on our GAP bikepacking trip. It's a little out of the ordinary in more than one way. The office, shower rooms and bike washing station are across the bridge/river and down a side street, from the trail and actual campground, which is fairly inconvenient. The campground is on the GAP, and next to the river. We... More

Great place to stop after a hard day's ride for sure. Not really a log cabin and more like a regular house. Very clean and comfortable. I would definitely use them again. Right around the block from main street and very close to the trail head (.3 miles).

Stayed with a group of friends. Nice clean accommodations for a group on a ride. Enjoyed relaxing in the game room. Simple, clean and convenient. Caters to bikers on the trail. Able to wash and secure the bikes. I would definitely stay again.

Awesome campground. They provide food and even paper if you want to build a fire. The campsites are large and clean. There are covered areas with picnic benches if inclement weather rolls in (which is likely most days!). To take a shower, it's a 4-5 minute ride to the bath house. You can charge your electronics in the office there.... More

I led a Venture Crew on a bike ride from Cumberland to Pittsburgh. We stayed here on the first night. The campground is very clean, the pavilion was spotless, and there was wood already there for us to have a fire. The host stopped by when we checked in and as we were leaving to make sure everything was great.... More

We stayed here with a scout group on a GAP bike trip. What a wonderful campground! It has to be the most well maintained campground I've ever visited. The setting is lovely and it couldn't be more conveniently located -- right next to the GAP Trail. Firewood is included and available right at your site. Sites have pavilions and fire... More

My children and I camped here while biking the GAP. We didn't get in until it was almost dark. We called ahead. They had wood and water waiting for us. The campground has a lovely setting. The pavilion was so wonderful for keeping our gear dry. The only downfalls were the walk to water and showers and the trains at... More

We were bicycling on the GAP and needed to stay in Rockwood and selected the guest house at the Husky Haven Campground. This is a nice ranch home with three bedrooms, basement with pool table, etc, nice kitchen, and a nice rear deck. The place is very well maintained and it is obvious that the campground alongside the trail is... More

I had an amazingly private campsite (number 00) in a campground that had lots of inviting sites. A campsite is $10 which includes wi-fi and electronic charging as well as a sparkling clean bathhouse about 1/4 mile away on the other side of the Cassleman river. The owner also provides firewood free to each site. The campground is located right... More
