This was the first time we ever stayed at a B&B. Built in 1760, this B&B farm house was quaint and friendly. We absolutely loved it! The owners made our stay welcoming and helped us with directions to different sightseeing places. They also told us about restaurants in the area. Our room was comfortable with a private bath, which is... More

My husband and I needed a slow pace, quiet and friendly place where we could unwind and we found it at the Brownstone Colonial Inn. This was the perfect place! We had a wonderful time; the proprietors, Brenda and Mark are very friendly and easy going folks. We enjoyed conversations together, as well as their delicious breakfasts. We definitively go... This is our second trip to this wonderful B&B and the experience was as good this time as it was before. A pleasant, peaceful country setting with many activities within a short driving distance. Whether it's shopping, historical sites or visiting the many antique shops, everything is close by. Brenda serves up a delicious hot country breakfast every morning to... More

The innkeepers made our stay a memorable one! Brenda was so accommodating with our special needs regarding schedule and nearby events. The breakfasts were over-the-top good and it was great fun to interact with other guests and our hosts. Having our own bath in Grandma's room was great and the cleanliness of the inn was outstanding! I would unhesitatingly recommend... More

Thank you for your very kind words! We're glad you enjoyed the accommodations, the breakfasts, the cleanliness, and the interaction with everyone! As innkeepers, our favorite time is breakfast with our guests, where we treasure those conversations! And since you mentioned the pets, we do indeed have two boxers who have a friendly, calm disposition! They are expected to stay... More

This inn is quite charming in a colonial country type of way and has an overwhelming sense of peace and calm about it. We loved our stay tremendously and found our room (Shaker Suite) to be quite accommodating and provided privacy when needed. The innkeepers are really the nicest and friendliest folks around and provide a real "family table" experience... More

Refreshing. That's the first word that comes to mind when I think about the Brownstone Colonial Inn. My husband and I stayed for the first time for 3 nights this year during WWII weekend in early June and we didn't want to leave! The location of the Inn is perfect - beautiful (and peacefully quiet) farmlands, yet close to lots... More

What a wonderful stay at Brownstone Colonial Inn! Brenda and Mark were absolutely darling. We could not have asked for better hosts. And oh my, can Brenda cook a delicious breakfast! I have never had such marvelous meals for breakfast before. The other guests were very pleasant as well. All will be missed, but we will definitely visit again.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review of our inn! And I especially appreciated your compliments on the breakfasts, which I love preparing! I often will try new recipes on my family before introducing them to our guests - and try to do so often, especially with the many repeat guests we continue to have! More

What a great place to stay - the rooms are old country with modern conviniences. Our room was so comfortable and we were made to feel like family! Brenda was very helpful with planning our day trips as we were not familiar with the area. The breakfasts were amazing and filling and coffee was graciously put out early for us.... More

We stayed here as a staycation for our anniversary. We loved the authenticity of the house and the peacefulness of the area. It's very quiet and calm and held it's charm even on a rainy weekend. The breakfasts are truly the best part of the stay so don't miss them! Brenda makes everything herself and uses as many local ingredients... More

Thank you for taking the time to review our inn! We're glad you enjoyed celebrating your anniversary in our peaceful environment! Yes, "this old house" has some creaky floors here and there, but I suppose that adds to the charm. We have painstakingly restored all the original floors, wainscoting, doors and other trim to their colonial period authenticity! Back in... More
