This place is spectaular. We stayed two nights in the Rail Trail Room. The room is very nice. Extra seating, king bed, so very comfortable. Amanda and Damon were wonderful hosts. The breakfast was over the top delicious. Drinks and snacks were available any time of the day or night. Amanda was so very gracious when I broke an entire bottle of red wine on the floo of the room. She insisted in coming in the next morning and mopping the floor to make sure we didn't step on any glass. Our room was on ground level and the patio was right aside of the trail. This was a wonderful for us. A simple hello and so many of the folks stopped for a few minutes to chat. I will make this an annual trip.
I chose to stay at the Jackson House on my way home and I am so glad that I did so. I stayed in The Cottage, an elegant room with a very comfortable bed. Damon was very accomodating with an early breakfast that was delicious.
Every thing about Jackson House Bed and Breakfast is top notch. The bedrooms are spacious, very clean, and have all the amenities anyone would need. The mattress was extremely comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed Damon's delicious breakfast including some of his delicious baked goods. Adding to the ambience of the Jackson House is the wooded rail trail park across the street. Thank you Damon and Amanda for providing my husband and me with just the respite we needed!
We loved the historic atmosphere with a railway trail park directly next door. The breakfast Damon (the Inn keeper) made were amazing. We stayed 3 nights and everything was exceptional. The only downside we had was cell service was not great due to the town being down in a valley. We visit this area at least once a year and we will definitely be back.
We only had one night at Jackson House, but it was worth it. Directly across the street from a park and hiking/biking trail, it was built in the 1850s and has plenty of quirky but endearing features. Highlight was the Huge and satisfying breakfast created by Innkeeper Damon Poulin. Also can strongly recommend the nearby Glen Rock Mill for dinner.
Love the Jackson House! We felt welcomed from the moment Damon greeted us at the door. He went out of his way to ensure we were taken care of and happy. It was relaxing to sit on the porch with a glass of wine and watch the people on the road. On our last morning, we left before breakfast was served. Damon made us a great tasting "grab & go" breakfast. As we were visiting family, I'm sure that we will be paying Jackson House another visit.
First class is the best way to describe the Jackson House. From the moment we arrived until our departure, Damon was accommodating and informative in a low key manner. We started our days with a brisk walk on the rail trail, shaded by a beautiful tree canopy, followed by an excellent breakfast made even better by interesting conversation with Damon and other guests! The location allows visitors to experience a wide variety of day trips and return home to peaceful, comfortable and relaxing environment. We checked out prior to the normal breakfast time and Damon provided us with a very large and tasty "to go" breakfast that allowed us to enjoy the Jackson House "experience" while driving to our next destination. We look forward to visiting the Jackson House again!

Stayed in the Rail Trail Room. It was clean and beautifully appointed. Amanda and Devon provided a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and provided information on the history of the building and surrounding area as well as attractions to check out. Breakfasts are to die for! Without question, I will stay there again.
Perfect place to stay for biking the rail trail. The room was cozy and well appointed especially nice was the porch where we could watch all the action on the trail. Excellent breakfast and considerate hosts. Would definitely stay here again.
