Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Quarryville earns praise for its attentive service and family-friendly amenities, including a water park and clean cabins that delight many visitors. While the staff is commended for their helpfulness and ensuring cleanliness, some guests have experienced disorganization and issues with room bookings. The resort's amenities are a highlight, though concerns about understaffing and maintenance have been noted. Despite the cleanliness of the cabins and bathhouses, travelers often view the resort as overpriced, pointing to high fees and dissatisfaction with the value for money.

We stayed in the premium cabin and loved it! It was myself and my 15 and 14 year old children. We were a little sad that we didn't get to see all the characters, but that didn't ruin our stay. We stay for four nights. We thought about renting a golf cart because the map makes the park look big but it's really not and everything was within walking distance. We did however drive over to the laundry room so I guess if you want a golf cart for that it would be useful, but for us we rather save that money for other treats at the park and just walk. We also drove our car down to the lake the 2nd day because that is a decent walk with two hills. My kids met new friends so it made their stay even better. I would suggest better cleaning with the heat pool and monitoring the hot tubs I couldn't get in them because it was filled with way too many people and both had kids in them. We are definitely looking forward to possibly staying next year! Great park with lots to do.

My family and I stayed over the weekend at a tent site. There were 2 adults and 4 children ranging from age 3 to age 10. All of the kids had a great time and there were plenty of activites to satisfy all of their interests no matter the age. The grounds and facilities are very well maintained. .The bathrooms were very clean and cleaned daily! I love that the bathrooms were single unisex bathrooms with a shower so that my family and I had plenty of privacy when using the facilities including showers. The staff are all very nice and approachable. There was one staff member with very blond curly hair with a sorta whistle when they talked who was so kind and friendly and did a great job of cleaning the facilities. I really enjoyed the conversation we had!!! Kudos to you, you seem to really love your job! There was plenty to do even with the waterpark not being open yet as we went at the end of April but there was plenty for the kids to do and stay busy all weekend. They guys on the golf carts delivering the firewood and picking up trash were also friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs as well. The store is adorable and my kids loved picking out their souveniers! The only thing id change is that you sell cases of bottled water lol (we brought one but it ran out). All in all id say this campground deserves 100/10!!!! Would absolutely go again and am planning to this summer!

Many changes.. work on cabins needs to be done .. rescreening for one. Golf carts need to be retired and replaced..50$ early arrival on an 11 thousand dollar stay was absurd and annoying. When checking out we were told to go online to reserve our cabins for next year… was rather annoyed at that also.. minimum 5 cabins each year for 7 years.. do the math.. your cleaning staff and maintenance people are top shelf.. take care of them.. would love a call from the new management to give a few tips on keeping great customers..

So this is a very honest review with the expectation that Jellystone management will respond with some kind of generic “Jellystone values the safety of its guests and we have proper Covid-19 protocols in place to protect our guests, blah blah blah” or something that is printed on their website. Well I’m here to tell you it’s a big fat LIE. Nobody is social distancing, even the staff members at the Ranger Station were seen with masks pushed down; I get that the temperatures are hot and it gets uncomfortable with the masks on but given the current climate, I was appalled by what observed. None of the staff enforced social distancing anywhere particularly the pool areas (see my pic below where guests waiting in line). I should have taken more pics documenting the complete lack of social distancing including the water slides where the kids and grown ups alike are standing back to back. Guests were seen walking into the ranger station and general store with their shirts pulled up - yes you heard me correctly, shirts pulled up to act as a “mask” and not a single staff member stopped them. I didn’t see playground equipment being wiped down a single time during my weeklong stay and I kept a good eye on it given that our cabin was across from
the playground. The staff members are mostly teenagers/young adults and there didn’t seem to be a clear presence of management around or someone who was running things in an orderly fashion. This part of the lack of social distancing and lack of protocols in place despite their advertising same and likely Pennsylvania laws they are breaking was what unfortunately made up my mind to not come back here again. They also appeared to very short staffed. My family wanted to play mini golf and there was no attendant and golf balls to be found. There were also no disinfectant wipes for folks to wipe off the equipment (again this is falsely advertised on their website). I had to walk into the Ranger Station twice to ask for the golf balls to be restocked and wipes to be provided. This took approximately 20 minutes for them to accomplish. It’s a shame that they are waiting for a Covid explosion to occur because otherwise, the resort is well spread out, thoughtfully designed and has the potential to be a great get away during these trying times.

Just got back from a 3 day stay and I was so disappointed! NO SOCIAL DISTANCING whatsoever! I read all the rules before we went and would not bring our own golf cart, my grandchildrens scooter or my own wood because it specifically states in the rules it is forbidden. When we got there my grandchildren noticed kids on scooters, campers entering the park with wood in their trucks and their own golf carts! If you are going to make rules.....ENFORCE them! The pool was grossly overcrowed and I saw several people in the store with out masks and no one said anything to them. My grandchildren ordered chicken tenders from the food truck and waited 1 1/2 hours for their food. Extremely poor management! Will not be back for sure.

Thank you for the feedback. We are very sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay. We encourage everyone to self police and do the right thing, but unfortunately we fell short on this. Our team is trying their best to enforce social distancing & wearing masks in public buildings as best as possible. No outside motorized vehicles are allowed and we will definitely look into this. The only people who can bring their own golf carts are those with a legit medical condition. Despite this, we hope you were able to make lasting memories with family & friends during your stay.

I will not be returning to Jellystone with my family in the future. My campsite was moved to accommodate another camper who stayed for two nights while I was staying for four. You’d rather accommodate someone because they paid a “lock-in fee” for two nights while also inconveniencing another for four. Everything at this campground is a money grab. The candle making was pathetic. My children made nothing. They were told to choose a color and were given their candles after someone else dipped them. The children did nothing. The ceramic paints with only three paint colors allowed?! Is the paint that expensive? Lifeguards were only actively on duty 10% of the time. The golf carts are very expensive, torn, moldy and old, that is if you get the chance to rent one. We did not and we were told that we were not able to bring our own golf cart. Where’s the convenience? Only to show up and see plenty of other campers with their own golf carts. When I paid, in advance, online I stated we had 3 adults and 2 children. We had to pay for an extra wrist band for the third adult even though we were given two car passes. They knew we had an extra person and still charged us more money.
NOT COMING BACK!!

Thank you for the feedback. If you do not lock in your site, there's a chance our reservation system will optimize and move you to a different site number. We apologize for the inconvenience. We will definitely look into how we can make our activities better! Outside golf carts are not allowed (unless proof of a medical condition), due to liability reasons. Our standard rates include 2 adults and 2 children, which is why you were charged for an extra adult. This is stated on our website. Again, we apologize for the confusion!

Since being under new ownership, and management, the park is really suffering. The prices are continuously increasing making it harder to come, and the cleanliness of the park is suffering. Hiring kids that just want to play instead of work is not helping. They hang out more than work, and speed around the park in gas powered golf carts while kids are walking the streets and playing.

The water continuously goes out, and takes forever to turn back on so make sure you come with full tanks. Also for a park that has rules about mean, and/or barking dogs, the staff won't do anything about them. Hearing dogs bark all night, and get into fights during the day is super anoying.

Ownership obviously neglects to take care of their employees which would make them prideful to work there. And do better, and their part to keep people coming back.

The increasing prices with no signs of upkeep or updating will cause this place to loose business. They are running out the families who return for both camp and stores each year along with other weekends in between. Also, this park lowered their fall camp and store from 4 weeks down to 3 weeks a while back due to leap year, but has yet to bring back the 4th week. Therefore you end up paying more money for 3 weeks in the fall than you do for 4 weeks in the spring.

Our family has spent the last few years booking 7-8 weeks a year here. If things don't change by next spring, we will not be returning, nor will the 8-10 other families we camp there with.

All of this really stinks because our kids love going there to see their friends. It is close to home, but at this point our group would rather drive hours to a cleaner better priced park that has more and better amenities.

We went a few days after they opened for the season. The major activities such as the pool and water park weren't open yet (we expected this since the site did say it won't open until May) and they didn't have the scavenger hunt paper that the kids were looking forward to and no Yogi mail (didn't expect this). It was still a fun time staying in the cabin, enjoying the fire pit, and playing the other available activities such as mini golf, the gem mine, jumping pillow, gaga ball, basketball, and the arcades. We went down to the fishing pond but there didn't appear to be any fish in it yet (or we just stink at fishing). The staff members we encountered were all friendly. Funnily, the family staying in the cabin next to us was also celebrating a birthday like us.

We stayed in one of the two Super Deluxe 3 room cabins. I would recommend you pick the SD1 cabin. We stayed in SD2 and there was less space for parking, and the firepit, picnic table, and grill were too close to each other and the cabin. SD1 had space for 2 cars and a golf cart. SD2 had parking space for one vehicle and a second vehicle parked sideways almost in the road. Good thing we didn't get a golf cart.

Being this early in the season, the place was not packed at all but still some other folks in other cabins and RV sites. The staff were still getting the place ready. I would've thought many of the tasks they were doing would be done before the season started. It's a short drive into town to go to a Giant grocery store so no need to pack your car full of groceries. Strasburg railroad museum and other Amish sites are about 20 minutes away. There's a cute mini horse farm there. Be aware that this camp is in the middle of Amish farm country so you will be smelling poop in the air while driving to and from Jellystone, but there's no smell in Jellystone itself.

The only real downside we experienced was the heating and cooling unit is attached to the exterior wall directly behind the queen bed in one of the rooms. So either turn the unit off at night or lay your head at the foot of the bed. It's annoyingly loud (like a jet engine starting up, running, and shutting down and repeating all night) and a misstep by the builders to have the unit on that part of the cabin. There's also only one bathroom in a cabin that sleeps 8 ppl, but it's a short walk to the big building with more toilets and shower rooms so no biggie. It's a campground after all and not a Hilton.

I wouldn't come opening week again. For what they charged and with certain amenities missing, I'll wait until later in the season. In fact, I just looked up the cost for staying in the same cabin and same days of the week and it's significantly cheaper 2 weeks later. :-(

We reserved the ranger retreat cabin 1 for Columbus Day weekend. Views are great, the location of the cabin is great.
But what makes this a 2 is that for $800 a night the beds could be at least be discount store quality.

The master bed was so uncomfortable it felt like we slept on concrete with bricks on your chest. To the point that my lungs/kidneys felt bruised.

The futon in the living area also is terrible.
Almost as it’s been in use since 1970 no shape to it. The stuffing is all matted and worn down.

With today’s technology available why would you provide a digital antenna for tv service.

Direct tv or dish tv would be nice touch.

Step it up yogi bear! Stop being cheap.

First off you cant bring your own golf cart or wood just for them to charge you extremely high prices for theirs. Dude that checked me in early was cool but another lady behind the counter was extremely rude with her comments. Talking to another camper they had a very bad check in process as well because they dealt with this same rude lady as we compared descriptions. Mini golf did not even have the water or fountains going and the coarse was boring. Then off to get ice-cream which they where out of a lot of choices including chocolate. No glass by the pool was not enforced even though bags were being checked. On a good note my 2 year old enjoyed the slides but clearly they did not have enough water flowing for a 200 lb. man. The night activities of the movie and dancing with yogi were a hit and good experience for the younger one.

If you go to their website you’ll see a map. It’s a little ways to get to the pool from those cabins. The whole place is not huge but I hate walking lol, so the golf cart was worth it, especially with kids and all your stuff.
