I wrote to corporate about a problem with the staff and manager at the Quality inn in Quakertown Pa. I have been a customer at this property for some 20 years going back to when it was a Comfort Inn. Recently, I stayed there a couple of nights in April then a non profit Quakertown Outreach paid for my room as well as others who were struggling with homelessness, suicide, disabilities, etc. They paid for 6 weeks to stay here so I have been here from April to today, 6/15/20. I have a lot going on that I don't want to get into other than its a terrible time with cancer, health problems, sister father and best friend all committed suicide, I attempted to kill myself numerous times and have been hospitalized a lot. I am in therapy and waiting for my specialists and surgeries because of the virus. I was homeless when the Outreach started paying for me to stay here. I had just got out of several hospitals after trying to kill myself. After many problems with noise and drug addicts keeping me up all night, I did not complain and bit my lip for 6 weeks. Finally, I said someone to the clerk who went on and lied about me and dismissed my claims. When the GM came to my room the next morning, he said I have no business complaining because I didn't pay for the room. He went on to insult me and the Outreach saying they are paying pittance for the night and its barely worth it while he said the locals and drug addicts if you want to say that (almost verbatim) are paying our bills while the other hotels at the turnpike have no cars in their parking lot. He said I had no right to complain because someone else was paying for the room. He has chosen greed over customer service. He said if I did not like it, I could leave. The Outreach has paid hundreds no into a thousand or more for me to stay here and the GM says I cannot complain about noise and drug activity keeping me up??? I am a choice member and have been a customer here for about 20 years way before he was even a manager. And I worked in the hospitality field working managing restaurants, bartending, catering, working hotels, reservations, audits, and customer service in insurance. If I ever talked to a customer that way, I would have been fired that day. I am asking corporate to retrieve the cameras for last Wednesday morning and subsequent to confirm my claims. I do not like being lied about and basically told to shut up and that my opinion or complaint doesn't matter. It seems like the manager is poverty shaming me or thinks that since I am at a low point in life and someone else is paying the bill that he can talk to me like a POS and insult me in my room. This blatant unprofessionalism, ignorance, insulting guests, and insulting the non profit paying for multiple people to stay here is disgusting. I want an immediate investigation by corporate and to look over the cameras to confirm my claims. I have been a customer here for about 20 years, I will NEVER come back to this property after being treated so rudely.…
Booked a suite with a hot tub, at a different hotel, after our last terrible experience at the last hotel we booked a suite at. The staff was VERY nice and professional. Room was very clean and the hot tub WORKED!!! Great experience and will most DEFINITELY be staying here again!!!
This hotel is a great value. It is an older hotel so please don't expect everything to be high end and brand spanking new. One of the perks of an older hotel is that the hot tubs are huge! The electric fireplace is a nice bonus as well. Breakfast was very good. A nice surprise was that the waffle mix was flavored. Blueberry one day and Cinnamon roll another day. This was a stay-cation for us. We had ample room and there are restaurants close by. Both were a bonus since it snowed that weekend. I would rate the bed as one of the most comfortable for me. The room was clean, just a bit dated. The couch appeared to be brand new. We brought a DVD player along to watch movies. Unfortunately, our DVD player is newer and their ample sized TV is older. So, we rented a DVD player from them for a small fee. We actually only needed the older style cable. It worked out just fine! We found the room to be quiet from outside noise such as the turnpike. However, old plumbing means that you can hear your neighbors when they fill their hot tub or use their shower. This is not a concern unless they decide to do this in the middle of the night. Mutual respect goes a long way here! On the first night there, a neighbor was playing music all night long. It didn't bother me but it was a bit annoying for my husband. The second night was perfect! I must add that, although we heard music, we could NOT hear conversations of our neighbors. We didn't hear slamming doors either! We would DEFINITELY return to this hotel again. Thanks for a restful weekend.…
Before you look at the bad reviews read the good reviews. I did not give this property five stars because I think it's equal to the Four Seasons, it's not. But on the same note it is an older property that is well-kept, very clean , with a friendly , courteous and professional staff . It is also Easy-Off easy-on to the Northeast Extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I had the same suite that is pictured above. It is the largest room I have ever had at this price. Complete with hot tub and fireplace. The room is every bit of 700 square feet. Would I stay at this property again yes I would and I would also recommend it. Take care.
