We are group of 16 families traveling from Toronto to play hockey tournaments this past weekend at this hotel. We were separated to four different floors instead of reserved all together as promised. Floor 14/12/9/4. We were all told by checking in there are discounts price for parking $10 each night instead of $30. Because of I read hotel reviews before I came and I noticed they do have parking payments issues before, so I, personally confirmed with staff twice to make sure it’s $10 each night. On the day of checking out, night shift manager insisted it’s $30 each night. Per his original words” my job is only checking you in and checking you out, the parking payment is nothing he can do. I have a 6 years old boy needs to take care, don’t argue with me.” After I explained my experience and told him this is not first time and I’m not the only one . I’m a group of 16 were told together when checking in. He relies “ there is morning shift problem, not his problem or he could control. He is night shift manager .” I knows he’s not intent to help me anything. I am just wasting my time here. On first day dining in the hotel restaurant, food is good and service is good too. But they took my friend’s Visa card away to process payment. It’s usually bring the portable POS machine but they took card away. My friend checked online banking right away and found out they accidentally charged him twice. We came back and they refunded us. Be aware !…
I enjoyed riding on the incline and going to dinner in the area. Everything was within walking distance. The room that I had was a great view of the bridges, stadium, and rivers. I would recommend staying here when you visit Pittsburgh, PA.
We stayed last weekend for a wedding. Probably the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced, especially LeAnn. The food was amazing! The rooms were newly renovated and very clean! I would definitely recommend for a wedding and stay here again!
Was very impressed with the Sheraton. Much nicer on the inside that it appears from the outside. Updated modern lobby and rooms, great river front views, and an easy walk to all the shopping and dining Station Square has to offer. We were here as my daughter was playing soccer at Highmark stadium and the the stadium was a short walk across the parking lot. We will definitely be back.
I recently stayed at your hotel and had a very pleasant trip. The concierge named Kelsey, was exceptionally attentive to my needs and made my stay extra special. I thuroughly enjoyed the new Bonvoy Lounge as well. Can't wait to tell my coworkers and spread the word.
The Sheraton at Station Square exceeded our expectations. The hotel, surprisingly, was incredibly well located. But best of all perhaps, the friendly cooperating staff. Many times the so-called frequent user lounges are boring staffed with individuals who don't seem to care and food that's not up to quality. Kelsey, in particular greeted Us by name and treated us like a million dollars. The food was tasty. It was warm the entire experience inviting. The only thing better perhaps.. the great View from the Overlook eyeing the skyline of the city of pittsburgh.
Nice hotel with great views of the city. We had a city view room and were a little worried when we saw the RR tracks outside. While there were trains, they were quiet all night. We also sleep with white noise. The restaurant for breakfast was great. Nice view too! The service was fantastic and the portions were huge. We should have shared! Our breakfast was free because of our elite status but would have been $60.00 with tip.
Great check in experience. Marriott Titanium. Got upgraded to a suite which was a fantastic room. The room was the best hotel room I have been in for working including an adjustable work table for both sit down and stand up work. I had a fantastic view of downtown Pittsburgh. The room had all expected Marriott amenities and the bathroom was nice. The wifi in the room did not work. I asked the front desk and they initially told me it was being "worked on". Upon further investigation, the wifi had not been working in the rooms for "about a month" according to another person at the desk, with no ETA on resolution. They suggested working in the lobby where there are 4 private spaces including 2 mini "phone booths" all four spaces were often occupied. I had planned to work out of this hotel for 2 business days so I checked out one day early due to the lack of internet and was able to get a room at a nearby Marriott with a good in room work area and good internet. The Front Office Manager helped me get my "suite night" awards returned to my Marriott account (this took a few emails) after the first person from the hotel FO told me they would be returned "automatically" which was not true. In general the team could use better training - especially on transparency. Honesty on the internet issue and the process for suite night returns would have been appreciated when asked. Fantastic room and property - would have been 5 star if the service failures had not happened. …
We travelled to Pittsburgh for a wedding last weekend (Sept 24th 2022) and were pleasantly surprised by a few things that even the profile of this hotel on the Bonvoy website fails to mention or display: (1) The lobby has been completely renovated and made more stylish and up-to-date than ALL the photos; (2) Our rooms (family members' as well as our own) were also upgraded and far more modern and comfy than the photos; (3) It really is the only hotel in Pittsburgh offering this gorgeous view of Pittsburgh's skyline as well as where the three rivers meet; (4) It sits in a neighborhood that's more pedestrian friendly than downtown because of a huge new apartment complex next door that's brought RESIDENTS into the immediate vicinity, and you can walk to a number of great eating spots without having to take your car or worry about parking, and (5) Our interactions with the hotel staff were nothing but friendly, professional and accommodating, even for a marathon Greek post pandemic revenge wedding that went on and on. So thankful that our bride and groom chose this location for its convenience; we enjoyed plenty of what Pittsburgh has to offer (incl a view of sporting arenas or walking distance to another) and got to enjoy many spots within and outside the hotel where we could catch up with family, again without jumping into a car each time. Hate spilling the beans on places I've enjoyed because it tends to rack up the pricing for my next visit, but thought I'd tell it like it is, and we did have a wonderful weekend at the Sheraton Pittsburgh Station Square. Thank you!…
Stayed here two nights for a business conference. Very nice. Located right in Station Square. A cool area on the opposite side of the river from downtown Pittsburgh. Friendly Staff - Lauren was awesome and quite helpful at the front desk. Many of the rooms are being renovated or have been. I had a nice king-size bed and a huge hotel room with a view of the river and the stadiums. Walking distance to multiple restaurants and bars. Beautiful views. Will definitely stay here again if I return to Pittsburgh. The only negative is the expensive parking ($30 per night) and they need to update their doors. Lots of noise outside in the hallway could clearly be heard inside the room which disrupted sleep both nights.
