The Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport has received mixed feedback, with a number of guests praising the clean and comfortable rooms while others have pointed out maintenance and cleanliness issues. Its proximity to the airport is frequently highlighted as a major advantage, though not all guests feel this justifies the price. While many appreciate the overall cleanliness and some of the amenities provided, experiences with the hotel's service and the value offered vary, with reports of both positive encounters and frustrating service inconsistencies.

Hello all. Stayed here for one night. They have upgraded the hotel rooms and public places....look great. Front desk super efficient and and all staff bend over backwards for the guest. One suggestion. Get the restaurant OPEN To capacity allowed. This is October not April. It is time to toss plastic forks and spoons and foam plates. Also time to get another employee working. Goodness what $5.00 an hour x 8 = $40.00. One person cannot be a bartender, waitress, and food runner for room service!

If all restaurant in Allegheny County can have a semi real restaurant experience you can too! So future guest be aware it is good food served in a box with disposable everything. If you like to picnic you have found your restaurant!

Stayed one night in advance of a business meeting in the hotel. From the mezzanine level, you take the overhead enclosed walk to the parking deck and the hotel entrance is on the right after the second people mover. It’s nice that everything is enclosed so you can avoid any bad weather. The entrance is a bit nondescript and I walked past before I realized it was actually the main entrance. Lobby is sleek and modern, maybe too cold for some people. Large restaurant and bar are located to the left, reception straight ahead and meeting rooms slightly right and straight back. My room was nicely appointed and felt spacious. Starbucks coffee for the coffee maker was a nice touch. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the Howe’s were wall-mounted bulk dispensers. I ended up in a room with two double beds which meant my feet dangled off the end. The sheets/linens were heavy and stiff (Not my favorite) but the pillows were nice. The HVAC was very quiet. Meetings rooms were nice if fairly standard for an upscale business hotel. I would stay here again, but want a king bed next time.

I have stayed here several times when I have had an early flight out of Pittsburgh. Super convenient, beautiful atmosphere. Clean modern room.
I appreciate that they have removed the travel size toiletries and substituted the full-sized pump bottles.

Barring my extremely difficult check in, which was ridicules, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, and the bed slept well. The room had a number of neat little things like, foot light sensors and the bottom of the beds to assist in guiding you during the night. A light sessor in the bathroom to turn on a low light when entering the bathroom in the dark. And a clock built in the mirror! Pretty cool! The shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The main room had an oversized TV set on a quite long counter with a small wine cooler looking refrigerator at the end of it. On the outside wall was a small table with one chair. So what's missing? Very little place to store your clothes! There were two of us in the room and there was a very small closet with about three hangers and the smallest chest-of-drawers I have ever seen. not enough space to store your clothes for our stay. The extra long counter with the TV on it and the space behind the door were a total waste of space and poorly designed. The restaurant was a bit expensive ( as everything these days) and unfortunately understaffed (again, as everything is these days). bur the servers there were very friendly. The service was either impeccable or awful but, other than the guy checking me in, the staff was awesome. If you are traveling for a quick in-quick out and are traveling by yourself this hotel will more than likely suit you needs. My issue with an airport hotel is that you are basically stuck there with what they have to offer.

I stayed here for two nights as I was attending an event at Heinz Field. As I arrived late on a Sunday evening it was very convenient to just walk from my gate to the hotel. The hotel is fine, my room was comfortable, some minor wear and tear. The closet door where the safe and drawers were didn't open, I wasn't planning on using the safe but it was odd. On Monday morning as I was showering I realized the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers were empty. There was bar soap so not the end of the world, I called the front desk and asked if they could please notify housekeeping. When I returned late in the evening, ready to take a shower after a long day/night out - my room wasn't made up nor were the dispensers refilled. I called the front desk and they asked if I read the letter I received at check in about the minimal housekeeping services. I did not as it was mobile check in (very convenient to by pass the front desk upon checking in with the room key on your phone). I honestly didn't care that much about the bed not being made up but was very annoyed at the empty dispensers. They gave me a room that had obviously not been adequately cleaned/checked beforehand, I wasn't asking for anything extra. Because it was after midnight, the person at the front desk said she would check to see if there was shampoo available (she called a half hour later and I went to the front desk to pick them up.) I am very appreciative to her for doing that but it should have never happened (especially after I had called that morning.) A small thing, perhaps, but I expect more of Hyatt.
Some tips if you are staying a couple of days as I did, there is a Dunkin Donuts about a 5 minute walk (just outside of the airport security screening area) and a 7-11 in the ground transportation area. I also found the 28x bus very convenient into the city. Would certainly stay again for the convenience to the airport but that's it.

If traveling in or out of Pittsburgh airport this is a great location.

Stayed here twice and won't stay again. Bed spread had obvious tear in it, dirty hand prints on wall, dirt spots on floor, mold in bathroom.

Also pool was cold, hot tub has been removed and saunas were locked.

Restaurant food was good, but service is lacking.

For travel at Pittsburgh International Airport this is the best option for convenience and comfort. The food service offered great options and the entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The room was comfortable and the ease of airport access decreased early morning travel stress.

Staid in a wheelchair-accessible room as part of a conference and paid the group rate. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a good height and was easy for me to transfer in and out. The handheld shower was very high, and my travel companion had to get it down for me. The shower floor was lowered, which meant the water stayed in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. I travel with my own bath seat, allowing me to sit near the water taps. If I had sat on the built-in shower bench, I wouldn't have been able to reach it. I wasn't a fan of the hotel coffee, but we were able to go back to Dunkin Donuts at the airport. The food was delicious.

Fantastic experience! We stayed for 4 days for a dance convention that was held there. Wilma at the front desk was incredibly kind and welcoming. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable. We loved the digital clock inside the bathroom mirror and the bed floorboards that light up with motion so you can see your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The rooms were quiet and we never heard any airport noise. The room had a mini refrigerator, which I really appreciate because 4 days is too long to go without your own beverages and cold snacks. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. I know the Pittsburgh Airport is not an exciting place to stay :-) but if work or a convention brings you here or you want to sleep over before a flight, this is a fantastic place to stay!

Our final bill showed no points for $140 of restaurant charges made to the room.
According to Hyatt corporate, the restaurant is now independent of the hotel, so even though they permit you to charge to your room the restaurant charges no longer earn any Hyatt points. This is different from literally our last 10+ stays there. Also, as a Globalist we are supposed to get free breakfast. We were told by the front desk the restaurant doesn’t serve breakfast on Thursdays so we would be given 4,000 points to compensate. We never received them, so that was a blatant lie. Hyatt corporate said to take it up with the hotel, but as we had nothing in writing (we trusted the receptionist), that won’t go anywhere. We also did not get a room upgrade even though better rooms were available for booking when we checked in at 7:00 PM. All we got for our Globalist status was literally one bottle of warm water. I’m posting this to warn people with Hyatt status to not expect it to be honored at this hotel in any way we could see.

Retrieve your bags, then take the escalator or elevator to the second level, the level where you can access gates. There is an enclosed walkway that leads out of the terminal and takes you directly to the Hyatt Regency. It is heated, safe, and very convenient. It is the same walkway used by passengers to access cars in the parking lots.
