The Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport is lauded for its prime location offering seamless access to the airport without the disturbance of airplane noise, a highlight for many guests. Cleanliness stands as a strong suit, with travelers frequently noting spotlessly maintained rooms. However, opinions on room quality and service are mixed, with some guests encountering disorganization or unresponsive staff.
While the hotel atmosphere is generally appreciated, the on-site dining is described as sterile and could benefit from greater variety. Guests also warn of a premium price tag that sometimes includes unforeseen charges.

Detailed Reviews
As a hotel manager myself, I know what to look for and with that being said, I tend to be a little more harsh because I know the standards and what to expect… Please know, I did not pay for this room, I won a gift certificate so the room was free - All I paid was $35 for parking (although that should have been included). AND what made my jaw drop was that the tag they give you to put in your car has your FULL name AND room number in full view of whoever is walking by so not only do they know where you’re staying, they know your full name and room number. That is beyond an issue of safety and would not fly at my property. Once we made it to our room though, we noticed a lot… The little side mirror in the bathroom hasn’t been cleaned in probably a year or so, it had brown (hopefully makeup) marks on the back, as well as, being caked with dust. I made the mistake to stretch in the bathroom and noticed the toilet was covered in black mold under the lip and then as I was shocked at that, I noticed poop stains in the toilet! Me being Me, asked my friend that was staying with if she had gone to the bathroom yet (this is my best friend, we don’t close the bathroom door so I already knew her answer) and she said no… and then if I’m asking her, it obviously wasn’t me! Then I noticed the closet door wouldn’t stay shut, not that big of a deal, but I don’t like sleeping with it open so I had to rig it closed with a hanger but as I was doing that, I found the in-room safe and was going to utilize it until it, too, was broken and the door didn’t close properly. Again, I’m a little more harsh than most and I did not pay for this room so I didn’t complain to the desk but if I would have paid, I’d be more than mad! But overall the hotel was nice, the front desk was nothing impressive but far from horrible, the rooms were actually really nice and the hotel was pretty modern but housekeeping needs some work. I’m assuming they use a lot of contract housekeepers because until about 5/6P, you can hear them talking in a different languages extremely loud while letting the doors slam. As a hotel manager myself, I’d never allow my housekeepers to scream to one another up and down the halls all morning and day! They were right back at it at 8A the next morning! But I understand this is an airport hotel so not just housekeeping was up and about at 8A on a Sunday so I turned the tv on to drown them out BUT for as long as they were on site, the rooms need more attention. Oh and the pillows are flat and they don’t use garbage bags in the garbage cans, including the bathroom (pictured).

Imagine flying into your final destination at the midnight hour, tired and exhausted. Waiting for you at the Pittsburgh International Airport is a beautiful hotel with a check-in representative ready to greet you with a welcoming smile. In less than 5 minutes I was in my room and 10 minutes later asleep.
Having done this many times since I retired, I have always found my room spotlessly clean with two bottles of water waiting for me to enjoy. The rooms in this hotel are quiet, and the air conditioning is always set to a comfortable normal room temperature. The staff maintains the hotel rooms well, this I found to be consistent over the past 14 years.
Of course, the room prices maybe slightly higher than surrounding properties, but you will not be disappointed with the convenience and amenities this hotel offers.

The great thing about this hotel is that if you have an early flight, you can walk directly into the airport. I think the hotel used to be nicer, they pulled up the carpeting and put down hard floors with area rugs, which always makes things noisier. It also felt less luxurious. We were on the top floor and had an adjoining room, so we put a towel under the door and it was quiet. We slept fine here. The bed and linens were very comfortable. It was clean, but the bathroom could really use an overhaul. The hotel used to be luxurious, but it just seemed kind of ordinary now. The lady who checked us in was nice and the restaurant was good. I would stay here again if I had an early flight.

We were very pleased with our one-night stay at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh International Airport. The staff was gracious, check-in was swift, and our upgraded room was clean and quiet. While this hotel is a bit pricier than surrounding airport properties, the convenience of taking a very short indoor walk to the airport terminal is worth it. No lugging your luggage on/off shuttle buses. And the breakfast buffet is fresh and substantial. We will always stay at this Hyatt Regency when we have to overnight at the Pittsburgh International Airport.

Hotel bed is very hard, the restaurant and bar area the evening is overcrowded and has so many people packed in that I couldn’t order to go. Calling isn’t an option because they took room service awag and you have to place an order in person. Absolutely horrible! There were 100 people on more at that bar and restaurant on a Tuesday night. They even took the apple bowl away at dinner time so I couldn’t even get that! Went to bed with no dinner. Get your room service fixed or at least let people call in a to go order…this was pathetic!

For an early flight from PIT this Hyatt offers an efficient 10 minute walk to TSA and Ticketing. The rooms are clean and I got a restful night's sleep. But that is all that's acceptable about this Hyatt. I felt a real absence of hospitality. The front desk wouldn't answer the phone so I had to call Hyatt Reservations to finally get in touch with someone to make a wake-up call request. They have no restaurant, but a small cafe, with food so poorly prepared and cold that we sent it back. This hotel represents the lowest standard I have experienced staying at Hyatt properties world wide.

Barring my extremely difficult check in, which was ridicules, the staff was very friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very clean, and the bed slept well. The room had a number of neat little things like, foot light sensors and the bottom of the beds to assist in guiding you during the night. A light sessor in the bathroom to turn on a low light when entering the bathroom in the dark. And a clock built in the mirror! Pretty cool! The shower had plenty of pressure and hot water. The main room had an oversized TV set on a quite long counter with a small wine cooler looking refrigerator at the end of it. On the outside wall was a small table with one chair. So what's missing? Very little place to store your clothes! There were two of us in the room and there was a very small closet with about three hangers and the smallest chest-of-drawers I have ever seen. not enough space to store your clothes for our stay. The extra long counter with the TV on it and the space behind the door were a total waste of space and poorly designed. The restaurant was a bit expensive ( as everything these days) and unfortunately understaffed (again, as everything is these days). bur the servers there were very friendly. The service was either impeccable or awful but, other than the guy checking me in, the staff was awesome. If you are traveling for a quick in-quick out and are traveling by yourself this hotel will more than likely suit you needs. My issue with an airport hotel is that you are basically stuck there with what they have to offer.

Staid in a wheelchair-accessible room as part of a conference and paid the group rate. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bed was a good height and was easy for me to transfer in and out. The handheld shower was very high, and my travel companion had to get it down for me. The shower floor was lowered, which meant the water stayed in the shower and not all over the bathroom floor. I travel with my own bath seat, allowing me to sit near the water taps. If I had sat on the built-in shower bench, I wouldn't have been able to reach it. I wasn't a fan of the hotel coffee, but we were able to go back to Dunkin Donuts at the airport. The food was delicious.

It was more than we typically spend on a hotel room but the convenience of being on the airport property was worth not having the stress of coordinating an Uber or relying on a shuttle service to get to the terminal as it’s just a 4 minute walk to the TSA booth. We got a Junior Suite and the accommodations were very nice. We will stay here again in the future.
