Great location if you are on your own for business. 12 min safe walk to PNC Park if Pirates are in town. 12 minute walk to PPG arena if an event (Penguins) are in town. Historic building that is updated. Spacious room, plenty of water pressure, standing shower, ample work space. My room over looked Melon park and most rooms are 14-24th floor (nice view). Climate control worked well and my room also had a wet bar area. Plenty of counter space in bathroom and ample linens. Hairdryer and ironing board. Standard WiFi supported TEAMs call. Parking is NOT attached, but just across street and inexpensive ($16 day). Valet is available. Embassy meals were very adequate (both breakfast and happy hour). Yuengling on tap. Tip - need key card to access your room floor (plenty of lifts).

Booked this hotel based on the info i saw on line. The nice breakfast in the pictures is not available (due to COVID 19, I understand some what but could of social distanced). Checked in on Friday was told there was an accident with the pool and might be open on Saturday if the levels are corrected. Pool still closed when checked out on Sunday. But have to say the staff was very nice. Upon arriving in the 25th floor to check in a housekeeping on staff took my husband over to a far window to show him several places as I checked in. She went to our room with us. I am glad she did because our a/c said it was set at 68 but the room felt like it was 90. She turned off the unit completely and reset it. She stated that should fix it. She then took us downstairs to show us where we could park for free instead of using the parking garage (FYI if in the garage over 12 hours even on weekends it is $30 - plan to leave before 12 hours to pay only $4 weekend rate). Personally we did not feel comfortable leaving car parked on the street so we did park in the garage. Sunday we made sure we were out before the 12 hours hit. Headed to dinner after the lady showed us where to park. When we returned to the room a few hours later the room was still very hot. I headed to the front desk I explained to the person on duty at the desk how the housekeeping even reset the whole a/c unit and it’s still really hot in the room. He went ahead and changed us to a different room. We had a 1 bed room suite loved it because if I wanted to sleep husband could be in itger room watching tv. The bed and the bedding is awesome I would personally love to have the bedding for home. Rooms were very nice. And did not hear any of the other guest. We were heading out and another guest was entering their room when they opened the door there was loud music like they were having a party. Never heard a thing while the door was closed. We were on the 23rd floor for the 1st room and the 22nd room for the 2nd room with some really cool views being downtown. I also could not access the WiFi. As I was not a Hilton member.

Over all score I would give is a 5 out of 10. But part of it is due to the COVID 19.

We stayed for NYE to get out of the house. While there were no amenities which we knew about before hand we still very much enjoyed the hotel. Hilton has basically made it so that you do not have to interact with anyone if that is what you want. We actually like that, being able to get into the room with the digital key is a huge plus. The bed was beyond comfortable, with excellent pillows as well. There are a few flaw, we stay at Hilton branded hotels often so we have come to expect the same thing. The towels here were thin and seemed very old, not the quality we expected. Also most of the hotels have soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower, however this one did not. They soap given was not up to par I have got better at choice hotels before. Other than that not many complaints. We had great views from the room, if you can pick a room, get one that is a 19 it was a corner with great views. We would stay again, but I hope that they will make some small improvements.

For a 4 Star hotel, this place was extremely disappointing. No where did I read before booking that the lobby/bar/breakfast area were all on the 25th floor. Poor layout. There is no bathroom
on ground level. I’ve also never stayed at a Hilton Hotel that bills itself as full service, yet doesn’t clean the rooms daily or provide towels and clean linens. When I requested housekeeping I was told no one was on duty because of COVID. When four women stay in a room for three days, it should be cleaned and trash removed. I don’t pay to stay and have to bag up my own trash!
The manager’s reception consisted of well drinks, a nasty sangria and domestic beer, all served in plastic cups. Light snacks were individual bags of chips. Hardly worth the effort. Curb appeal
Horrible! Dead trees in all the planters. The small
“Lobby” on the first floor was pitiful. Soiled furniture and very dirty floors and tables. The one small amenity I could give positive comments was the complementary breakfast. That and the spaciousness of the room were the only two positives. When I checked out, I realized they had charged my credit card twice. Once on check-in and once on departure. Had to call and try to rectify. Now waiting on them to remove the first charge completely.

The breakfast line is set up so you have to wait for everyone getting hot food before you can get orange juice or an apple. We gave up after ten minutes of waiting from 9:40 to 9:50, getting nothing. The second day we went at 7:00. There was no line, but as my brother says, his elementary school had better food.

I asked to see the concierge to find the best way to get to the Carnegie Natural History Museum. The desk clerk said he was the concierge, and suggested I take Über. It was a nice day so we walked. We came back on a city bus that went on the direct path almost door to door for 2.75.

In a COVID-19 cost-cutting effort, they don’t offer room cleaning during a multiple day visit unless you ask. The first day, the room was fine so we let it go. The second day, we requested housekeeping before noon. We came back at 5:00 pm and nothing had been done. When I called the desk I was told that the housekeeping staff had left for the day, and anyway they couldn’t do anything as we were in the room. They had five hours,

Upon arriving at the hotel from the airport, we were impressed with the location and the building interior.

The location is convenient, with many restaurants in the area and only a short drive to sights in the area. The interior of the building has been updated,, but some of the older ornamental items have been kept, such as the elevators. That is were the pro's about the hotel end.

Upon reaching the 25th floor, where the lobby is located, we were greeted by staff that were pleasant and given our keys. It was late, and when we reached the room, a two room suite, we pulled out the sofa bed in the sitting area only to find dirty sheets, bugs and cheerios in it! The pillows were also very yellowed. We notified the front desk and several minutes later service shows up and hands us what we thought were sheets, but instead was a stack of pillow cases.

Notifying the front desk again, we finally received sheets and had to change the bed ourselves.

The next morning at 8:50am, we went to have the hot breakfast buffet (included with your stay) that is served until 9:30am, but all that was left at the buffet stations were sausage and bacon. While there was an omelet station, there was only one cook with a waiting line of 10+ people. The bread and pastry station was also lacking and the fruit station was empty, so we ended up having bacon, sausage and coffee for breakfast.

We went out for the day and came back early evening with leftovers from dinner. A couple of hours later, we were hungry and while the kitchenette does have a sink, microwave and refrigerator and coffee maker, there are no plates and napkins. I called the front desk and asked if they had and paper plates and utensils and the receptionist said no and hung up on me. Great having a kitchenette, but how can you use it without plates, napkins and utensils? We ended up eating with our hands - :-(

The next morning, while checking out, we went to the front desk and no one was there. We waited for 15 minutes and then just left the card keys in a basket on the desk.

Lastly, when I arrived home the next day, I logged on to credit card account and the hotel had charged me an additional $300! While I understand a hold can be put on an account for "incidentals," we had none and $300 is quite extensive.

All in all, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. Not worth the money for just location.

My husband and I were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, but because of Covid 19, we decided to celebrate locally and postponed the vacation that we had originally planned.
We decided on the Hilton Embassy because we had a good experience at the Airport Embassy a few years ago. We were disappointed that the only place to eat at the hotel, was a bar so we made arrangements to go to the LeMont where we had a lovely dinner. We paid extra for a river side view but the only view we had was the roofs of nearby buildings and smoke stacks. (Way off in the distance we could make out the river.) The room was okay. But for the money we paid and the amenities available to us. I believe we were overcharged and grossly misled by everything on their website. To say the very least, we were very disappointed!
Upon arrival, we asked the person working on the first floor where we could check in. He pointed to a sign and said "read the sign!". Seriously?? I will say that the young woman at your check in desk was pleasant enough.
There was no room service for our honeymoon breakfast, but we were informed that we could have a breakfast that we could take back to our room and eat. We were okay with that. We completely understand that extra precautions have to be made during the pandemic, but when we got back to our room and opened the styrofoam container we were shocked at the garbage that was to be our breakfast . The potatoes were overcooked and cold, the sausage was cold and if we hadn't ordered an omelet, we would have never known what it was. It was cold and had the consistency of a piece of rubber in the shape of a half moon. One bite and we both tossed everything in the garbage. The coffee was awful as well.
We chose the Hilton because we had had a pleasant experience at Hilton Hotels in the past. After our experience at this hotel, we will never stay at a Hilton Hotel again.

My family of 3 stayed for 1 night while in town to visit our oldest son during Family Weekend at Pitt. This is a clean hotel in a convenient location, just a short drive to campus. Our suite on the 17th floor was very spacious, even with the bed opened from the sleeper sofa, and it had a great view of the surrounding buildings and river. The location is about a 10 minute walk to PPG Paints Arena, which we did walk to get to a comedy show that Saturday night. Along the way we passed several nice restaurants, which we would have eaten at if we hadn’t had other plans. We liked almost everything about this hotel, but there were a few minor things that kept me from giving it an excellent rating. The valet service took a while to retrieve cars, regardless of time of day (4pm, 10pm, or 9:30am). I didn’t time each request, but using the app I made the requests in our room and after a long walk down the hallway, then waiting for an elevator, we still waited a few minutes outside before our car arrived. Another thing was that they ran out of forks at the breakfast buffet. While there were a couple of people clearing plates and re-supplying food items, no one seemed to be checking the utensils. BTW, the buffet itself was good, and the made-to-order omelettes were great. Lastly, the room only had 2 bath towels, and while the front desk quickly got me another this was the first hotel we’ve stayed at that didn’t have 4 towels especially in a room that was designed to accommodate that number of guests. Overall this is a nice hotel, and we would definitely stay again.

Location is great. Most staff were friendly although I felt highly uncomfortable by a gentleman who offered to take our bags to our room and proceeded to stare at me behind a pillar for about 10 minutes until I got into the elevator. The valet also told us they could park our car for $32 or we could park it in the same spot for $3. The next morning we realized we still had to pay $30 to park there overnight so they were just being lazy. Our room was spacious but very dusty, bathroom shower was moldy, bathroom sink had hair all over the place and the worst of all, we had a blood stain on our sheets. Hotel staff quickly took care of it and changed the sheets but the damage was done at that point. The “free” breakfast is pathetic. We were offered 3 choices and the omelet we chose was the smallest, saddest thing I’ve ever seen. We ended up throwing it away and going out to eat. Highly disappointed and will not be staying here again.

Hotel staff limited and rooms dirty, old water bottles, napkins in trash and dirty coffee maker. Self service housekeeping and cold water in my first room, no immediate alternatives provided. I felt bad for the staff that was working there because they were most friendly but could not provide amenities that are advertised.
