One of my favorite Hampton Inns! Always a great stay withe a great location. Stayed here attending a Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game. The location is convenient to PNC Park. The park is about a 25 minute walk or a very short Lyft ride. We walked along the river. The theater district is a short, 10 minute walk. There are many restaurants/bars with in walking distance. I always feel safe in the area around the hotel. The room was spotless, check-in was easy and breakfast was delicious. The free parking is a major perk. With all of these amenities, I will continue to return every time I am in Pittsburgh.

We stayed here for convenience sake and the price was better than it usually is for a stay in Pittsburgh. Loved being close to the Strip for shopping. The lobby is large and clean and the front desk folks we met were all very nice. Only a few complaints, one of which should be to the Hilton chain. Why do they put a sign in the bathroom asking you to hang up your towels if you want to re-use them, only to have the cleaning staff remove the hanging towels? I try to be earth-friendly and since we were there for two nights, I don’t mind using my bath towel for a second morning. Secondly, the swimming pool was very chilly. My granddaughter is nearly 3 and learning to swim, and her lips were blue and teeth chattering within 5 minutes of getting in the water. Her parents got cold too, and I would hope the temperature of the water could be increased by 5 degrees or so. It makes such a difference! Finally, on Saturday morning (December 28) the female security guard was sitting in a chair, head resting on her folded arm, at one of the dining tables in the center of the lobby. She was sound asleep. I was there close to an hour, knitting and waiting for the food to be available at 6 AM, so I know she was asleep for at LEAST that long. I’m sure it’s not easy working a night shift but if you’re getting paid, you need to stay awake. Or find another job. (One more thing - we didn’t have a fridge in our king room. Why is that? Shouldn’t mini refrigerators be in all the rooms?)

Chelsea, the front end manager, was wonderful and we felt very rested here for a few days. The hotel takes the pandemic serious so ample sanitation stations. It was not crowded so we had no issue with any guests and everyone was pleasant. You are right across the street from the Heinz History Museum; 5 mins from restaurants, and less than 10 minutes from basically any major sight by car. Keep in mind, for now, restaurants are limited and there is no daily housekeeping but they will quickly deliver towels or pick up trash if requested. We plan on returning again once everything reopens.

Our stay at the Hampton Inn was very pleasant. Located in Downtown Pittsburgh near many area attractions the hotel is perfectly situated for a visit to the city. We were able to walk to nearby PNC Park to watch the Pirates game. Parking is included in the stay at no extra charge, making any longer trips easy. The area is quiet and the hotel is also across the street from the Heinz History Museum, in a nutshell the location can't be beat.

The hotel itself is a modern, clean and well taken care of building. It has a swimming pool which we did not use and a nice sitting area where one can eat the included breakfast. Ont that subject breakfast was self-serve continental style with items like eggs, bacon, waffle makers, bread, cereals and the such. My only minor complaint is the coffee station is located across the lobby near the front desk, while I get it can be accessed all hours it could be put in closer or in additionally be put in the breakfast area during breakfast hours. Breakfast was overall good, while basic it was filling.

Our room was nice large sized with a comfy king-sized bed, it had a TV, desk, and sofa. When we arrived it was clean, we elected not to have the room cleaned during our stay. All linens and towels are hotel standard, what one would expect in a quality chain hotel.

All the staff we dealt with were nice, friendly and helpful. I have only good things to say about them.

The Hampton Inn is a quality hotel, especially for a chain hotel. While it has some personality with pictures of Pittsburgh and such it's not going to knock your socks off. However I would highly recommend it and would stay again in any future Pittsburgh visits.

Came here for a night stopover and wanted to be close to the highway and river.
Check in was fantastic with Chelsea she truly helped us figure out how to see attractions, and recommend fantastic food suggestions. Lots of food places are closed early Saturday night around here so we had to settle for something that was open but good close by.
Hotel is very clean, comfortable beds, and clean bathroom. The view we had was of the parking lot facing the river. Nice to not have to pay for parking. Rare to have a big Free parking lot. They follow covid-19 rules so pool is closed, gym also closed, and so is regular breakfest Canceled.
Breakfast in a bag was an apple, apple juice, cinnamon oat mini cake and an egg/bacon sandwich honestly. We barely ate any of it just wasnt very good. They had a fantastic surprise for my sons birthday. Honestly Chelsea was just astonishing and really because of here i wanted to give 5 stars some of the best guest service I've seen. Thank you. Would definitely stay here again

My husband and I decided to book a night away in Pittsburgh, and based on several city hotel reviews, we chose the Hampton Inn. Overall, the hotel was average at best as it appeared to be in need of a desperate renovation. The rooms were small and tidy, but they were also not thoroughly cleaned (ex: many finger and hand prints on the windows; garbage along the bed frames; empty tissue bin) and looked as though the walls and furniture had taken a beating over time. The staff were friendly yet more interested in conversation with their coworkers than attending to guests. The pool was small yet adequate (and strangely busy with families at 9 pm on a Sunday night). We skipped the complementary breakfast in the morning to sleep in with a late check-out time of noon. Oddly, we did receive a loud knock on the door at 10 am announcing house-keeping despite having a check-out time just two hours later (never experienced that before). We enjoyed our stay but would most likely chose a different hotel in the future.

We chose this hotel because of the proximity to the casino, free parking, and complimentary breakfast. We loved our room and the parking situation, but were sadly disappointed by the lack of vegetarian options and gas station quality meal provided. I could not eat the bacon and egg microwaveable sandwich, so I was only left with a boiled egg and an untoasted bagel (no toaster provided). We were under the impression the complimentary breakfast would be a sit down meal and were sadly disappointed with the sack breakfast we were given that we had to microwave in our room.

Where to begin... from the start the staff members Beverly and Chelsey were excellent! They both went above and beyond my expectations set by other hotels. My wife and I were celebrating our 15 year anniversary, both Beverly and Chelsey made sure that we were well taken care of. Chelsey made several great recommendations for dinner and even sent us an Anniversary card with some snacks, that was unexpected and well received! Chelsey helped me out with an early check in as well as a fantastic room with an excellent view of the city. Thank you both for everything you did to make our say enjoyable!!!! You both are an asset to your hotel.

We picked this hotel for its location, free breakfast, and pool. My two young kids loved the hot tub and pool. The pool was clean and warm. The breakfast was above average with eggs, sausage, waffles, and many cold items. Our room did not have a refrigerator so check ahead.

We were looking for a place to stay close to the Amtrak Train Station. Our son had an early morning train and I didn't want to be driving all over the city. The Hampton Inn & Suites was (4) blocks away and provided free parking (not available at most Pittsburgh hotels).

We also found a great spot (Eleven) across the street thanks to the front desk staff for the recommendation. If we need to stay in Pittsburgh again, it will most likely be at the Hampton Inn & Suites.

The Heinz History Center is right across the street and looked amazing. Hopefully we can visit the next time we are in town.
