The rooms were spacious, clean, and very nice. Great location. Breakfast was good. The layout for that was super convenient and spacious. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The front desk person, Shawna, was the best! We traveled with our 9 month old (which is already a task), and realized we didn’t have any soap to clean our baby’s bottles. There was not any dish soap at the amenities station, so my husband asked if there was any we could just use a little of. Shawna fixed us up a little bucket with soapy water and a sponge. It might not seem like a lot, but for parents traveling with an infant, it meant so much to us! Overall, everything made for a great stay.
My family of 4 stayed here 1 night to attend a Pittsburgh Pirates game at PNC Park. The ballpark is an easy 20 minute walk along the river. I felt safe walking with my family before & after the game. We arrived (2 PM) before our room was ready, but we were able to park in their free parking lot, which is very convenient and an awesome perk. There are many restaurants to choose from within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. Our room was spotless an had plenty of room for the 4 of us. Our view was of the Heinz History Center, which was pretty cool. The next day, we walked to the “strip district” which only took 15 minutes. The breakfast buffet was mostly grab and go items like pre packaged eggs, breakfast sandwiches & fruit, which was all fine for us. An added bonus is that the indoor swimming pool is open until 12 AM which our 6 year old enjoyed. We checked out online, which was fast & easy. I left a charging station plugged into the wall. Housekeeping kept this for me to pick up the next time I passed through town (thank you!). We LOVED our stay & we will not hesitate to return. We all loved our…
Spent a Friday and Saturday evening here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is undergoing some construction, but it was not a problem at all. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good breakfast offering as well. Parking was great, with an open air lot and able to use it for the entire weekend. Within walking distance of the convention center and the strip district. Great experience, will definitely be using them again in the future.
Easy to get to this location from the expressway. Located on the edge of Pittsburgh's strip district, it's a great spot to use for your base while you explore the city. Rooms were clean and quiet, free breakfast AND free parking right outside the hotel! The staff was friendly and efficient. We will be staying here again.
Great hotel. Staff was great. We stayed thru the blizzard and staff worked hard to keep everything going. Amos and James were very welcoming and were an absolute joy. Very helpful/ informative. A+++
We spent the weekend here for The Steelers game on Christmas Eve. I had called ahead with questions about logistics and Amos answered the phone. He took time to answer all my questions and was so kind and helpful. He was extra sweet to us during our stay and we appreciated it so much. James worked with him and he was also wonderful! They and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome. We will definitely be back!
Amos the receptionist did an amazing job with aiding our experience. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an wonderful time. He answered all of our questions in detail and gave wonderful suggestions. The hotel is very clean and located perfectly in the city of Pittsburgh. Come for the fun and friendly atmosphere. And you’ll be back simply because of the wonderful service.
Repeat customer, although it's been a decade since I was last there. The neighborhood has changed since then with a lot more construction. Love the Strip District and this just drops you into the action. Convenient for a nice walk over to the stadiums, science center and some museums. Amenities are spot on. Wifi (the free one) was fast. Loved the abundance of charging options in the room. For a family with many devices, this was great.
This hotel was convenient to downtown Pittsburgh and right across from the Heinz History Museum. Elevators were responsive, rooms and hallways were clean. It was very quiet except for the hallway doors closing. We walked to the train and drove several places easily. Would definitely stay here again.
This hotel is super conveniently located in downtown Pittsburgh to - sports stadium and Warhol Museum (15 min walk across the bridges), the Heinz Museum (across the street) and the Strip Distric (15 min walk and it's a shopping/restaurant area!). Ease of check in, good parking with in/out privledges, and clean rooms (I'm very picky) Quiet hotel. Ok breakfast as usual for a Hampton Inn but a good place to stay to explore downtown.
