Great location in the middle of walking distance to pretty much everything you need. The rooms are updated and allow privacy because you need your key to get in and use the elevators. Be ready to pay for the valet parking but you won’t need your car. Wifi signal was full bars and I didn’t have any issues streaming my movies and using video conferencing.

We arrived Thursday June 18th, and received quick and friendly check-in. Pleasantly suprised to be upgraded to a suite! We did have to walk down a few steps to get there, but well worth it.

We had a super spacious living room area with mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Sliding barn door into sink area, with tub/toilet in room to left and large king bedroom on right.

Now it was on the courtyard, and you do hear noise for those smooking outside or sitting at firepit, and Fri. night they had a singer/guitar player which was pretty loud(but he was good).

The restaurant is closed due to staffing issues, but you can get breakfast next door (not included, and in my opinion you can do better elsewhere).

Location was great, lots of restaurants on the same street. Some have very limited menus, but all were good. Scarpino's was yummy Italian, we also enjoyed tacos across the street at a Mexican place. but I don’t remember the name. Make sure to go to the rooftop bar across the street - great people watching.

Valet parking was easy, and if you call down ahead of time we always had the car waiting. All in all, this was a great stay fir our Anniversary and we would recommend this place for sure!

I needed a room near the David Lawrence Convention Center. This was next door and priced around $150 during a Supernatural comic-con, cheaper than the Westin that was connected to the comic-con. It has valet parking ($35 daily) so I didn't have to worry about finding a parking area that took credit card only. The street was full of restaurants and had a bike lane, lots of outdoor seating.

We were too busy to ask about using the fitness room or pool. The front desk was very helpful as in we needed a wine opener and extra cups.

The room had high ceilings and very modern. It was very clean. Had a safe, hair dryer, iron and board, mini fridge and coffee maker. It did not have a microwave.

We used the Bluetooth part of the tv to play some music from our phone.

It was a bit noisy all night as our room faced the street and the bars didn't close until late. We could hear yelling over our A/C at like 3am. It didn't really bother me as I was exhausted and fell right back to sleep each time.

Check out was at noon and they had our car ready since you call before you leave the room for check out.

Will stay again.

Thank you for sharing such a thorough review of your recent stay at the Courtyard. We look forward to hosting you again, and will be more mindful of neighborhood noise as things get busier in the city. Our current county guidance requires last call at restaurants to be at 11pm, but it sounds like some of our nearby neighbors were really excited things are opening up again. It has been awhile since us Yinzers have been able to gather in restaurants ;) Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, and we look forward to having you back!

We checked into room 528 for three nights. It was a basic king room facing the courtyard. The air conditioning worked well and there was good water pressure.

Our bed was comfortable but I didn’t sleep well. There was a very funny chemical smell in our room throughout the three nights. We heard conversations through our vent. At 7 o’clock in the morning door slammed and there was loud talking in the hall. Then the screaming & smoking started in the courtyard. We had a smallish window, the room felt dark, we had to put on 6 lights.

We had a bottle of soap, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom. There were no other toiletries. Without housekeeping we had to keep going down for clean towels, laundry bags, toilet paper, tissues….

There was no complimentary water or coffee. We had an outdated, small drip machine. We purchased our own water & coffee. Surprised at how unfriendly the staff was, nobody looked up and acknowledged us when we left in the morning or came home in the evening.

We chose this hotel because it appeared to be in a central location in the Cultural District near restaurants and theaters. We walked almost a mile to the Strip District, Heinz History Museum & Andy Warhol Museum.

Good Morning Andrea, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent stay. We have shared your feedback with the leadership staff at the Courtyard Pittsburgh Downtown to ensure your concerns are addressed. We hope you will consider trying the hotel again in the future. We recommend one of our upgrade room types that includes a city view. The hotel does have complimentary coffee service between the hours of 6-7am before our restaurant opens at The Standard Market where breakfast and coffee are available for purchase. And there is always an unlimited supply of in room coffee pods that we are happy to provide upon request. We are happy to deliver those items to your room at any time, as well as new towels or linens if needed. Typically, our staff service and location are usually of our highest graded categories in our customer reviews. We are sorry it seems like those things missed the mark your stay. We are all working diligently to provide a safe and satisfactory experience for all of our guests and will take your feedback back to our team. While we are centrally located in the heart of the Cultural District, and just two blocks from the start of the Strip District, the Strip does span a 2 mile distance, so it can be a far walk if you're looking to hit up specific parts of the district that aren't on the closest end to our hotel. The Andy Warhol Museum is definitely a must see attraction in Pittsburgh, and is actually located on the North Shore 1/2 mile from our hotel, but the opposite direction of the Strip District. Feel free to contact the hotel team directly if you'd like to review your concerns in further detail. We hope for the opportunity to have you back and earn a five star review from you next time.

We stayed here after riding the 150 mile GAP trail and found it to be very comfortable and convenient to the end of the trail and restaurants, parks in downtown Pittsburgh. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which was appreciated after our ride. Bike-friendly hotel with places to dine or drink literally across the street.

Stayed here in a suite for a very reasonable price, especially given that's it's in the middle of the City of Pittsburgh. After taxes and all the ridiculous fees cities charge, it was only a tad over $160. The rooms were huge and the ceilings were really high. The bathroom was a separate room and very large. While you can only do so much to make a hotel room nice or even opulent, such as sheets, mattress, bathroom, TV, size is a factor for me. When you have a small room with just a bed and bathroom, you sort of feel like you need to get out of your room and do something or go somewhere. With a couple of rooms like this, it feels fine to say in and not have to go out. Anyway, this place was very clean and very quiet as well and required a key to get in the front entrance, in the elevator and the room, of course. I'd definietly stay here again. Parking was an inconvenience as we parked on Liberty Ave, a block away. Still, a great hotel at a great price.

First experience is always the front desk. This guy tonight definitely didn’t like his job. He was smarmy and rude to the guy in front of me who asked about the road closure, then to me when I asked about local restaurants. Me: “Any good mid-price restaurants close by?” Him: “How would I know, I’m poor. Mid price to me is a couple bucks.” No further comment. Ok. I empathize with the workload of these staffers, and the stress, but jeez, no need to be rude to everyone. Maybe just a bad night? As for the room, there are no convenient outlets near the work desk in the room, the floors are weirdly squeaky in the halls and room above me, so I could hear the guests walking around until late at night. I am a Marriott Platinum member, but won’t likely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here two nights for a Steelers game. It was much cheaper than staying on the North Shore, and it took us about 25 minutes to walk to Heinz Field, so the location was a plus for the price!

The room was very clean, one of the cleanest I have stayed in during Covid. The room appeared recently re-modeled with comfy beds and high ceilings. It was a good size room and bathroom for a city hotel. The staff was friendly and the valet parking was easy.

We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review about our hotel. Our location and our team are our best assets for sure, our renovation/remodel is an added bonus too! We always tell our guests inquiring about the walk to Heinz Field or PNC Park, that's a scenic walk with things to do between the hotel and the stadiums. It's about 1 mile to Heinz Field, and slightly less to PNC Park. Glad that was easy for you two. We look forward to the opportunity to host you again next football season!

Stayed in a standard 2Q room for one night to take in an Indians game and trip to Kennywood. The building and lobby are very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The front desk and valet staff were super friendly. It was an easy approx. half mile walk to PNC Park, and we had dinner a couple blocks from the hotel at Condado Taco. The hotel is right downtown, which is great for us, but did come with two downsides: 1.) there was a lot of noise from the bars on the street below when we were trying to go to sleep; and 2.) There is only valet parking, and there are only 4 spots to park your car in front of the hotel for the valet. When we arrived at 4pm those spots were full & we had to circle the block several times and park in a spot down the street. However, the valet staff was clearly accustomed to this - we just told them where we'd left the car and they handled it from there. We would definitely stay here again!

Hi Liz! Thanks for taking the time to write a review about our hotel. We're glad you had a great time in Pittsburgh. Thanks for rolling with the punches regarding your valet parking experience. Pittsburgh is putting a lot of effort and support into the restaurant and hospitality rebound adding outdoor dining to Penn Avenue, which does limit our valet lane when multiple guests are arriving at the same time. It's a rare occurrence that we run out of space, but we are glad to hear our team was quick to get you parked and taken care of. It's really important to us, while we recover from the impact COVID has had on hotels, that we do our part to support our local restaurant's recovery as well. We'll be sure to alert the next door restaurant of your feedback regarding their volume, and we are grateful you found us for your Pittsburgh trip. Cleveland isn't a far drive at all for a quick overnight to change your scenery! We look forward to the opportunity to host you again. Thanks for choosing the Courtyard.

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at this location.

Check in was an absolute breeze the folks at the front desk were and total dream to deal with. I can't remember names, but everyone I spoke to went well above and beyond. Even remembering and using our names. Even the valet staff were attentive and great to deal with.

The hotel is in a great location, we were in town to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play and the walk over to PNC park was about 10-15 minutes. We valeted our car, which was a very cheap cost per day. They even went got our car for us, then re-parked it after we had grabbed some things out of it and put it back. Absolutely amazing.

The rooms are great, we had a room that faced the courtyard, which yeah doesn't have the best view. But get a life if you're going to complain about it. How much time do you plan to spend in the room? The room was perfect for us, high ceilings, great AC, good size TV and bathroom.

I'd be back at this place in a heartbeat and I would recommend it to anyone in the area.

Big thanks to Lisa as well, she gave me a ton of great recommendations and REALLY went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great!!
