Another wonderful experience at the Renaissance Pittsburgh it is our go to hotel when staying in town. Love the old world elegance and charm. Conveniently located. Didn’t get to use the bar this time as it was packed Saturday night but it is always charming and good drinks. Mason checked us in and he was outgoing and very friendly. Nice to have the hospitality. Our room was standard but roomy and nice. Love the lobby and ease of use. Definitely will be back!
This centrally located hotel in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh has amazing suites that look out over the Allegheny River and are well-worth the price for your special occasion. I want to make special mention of Katie at the front desk who was very helpful with our check in. We also had contact with others on the phone and all were really nice. The bartender makes great craft cocktails. The building is a classic and beautiful. One thing - we didn't have a "do not disturb" sign in our room and housekeeping came banging (and I mean banging) on our door at 8:30. We were only there for one romantic night and it was really disappointing to be awakened like that. Remember to get a do-not-disturb sign if there isn't one on your door. Otherwise....it was a fantastic stay.
Convenient location for a show Parking garage across the street was easy and inexpensive Our room was on concierge level but it was closed on the weekend There is no water in the room but they will provide if you ask Lobby bar was nice Overall great stay
My husband and I stayed here in October for a long weekend trip. The lobby of this hotel is stunning. We had a room with a view of the rivers. The views were amazing. The room was very spacious and clean. The staff was amazing as well. You can't beat the location. We walked to the Strip District, Market Square, The Point, and across the Ft. Pitt bridge to the Duquesne Incline to Mount Washington. Great restaurant choices near by and right in the heart of the theater district and easy access to the baseball and football stadiums. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend this hotel.
Reading many of the other reviews, seems like I was at a different hotel. We had two rooms. Rooms not ready when promised. One room not available until 4:30pm, then barely cleaned, no towels, etc. Both rooms terribly worn out. Some examples: hair everywhere, stained upholstery, barely functional shower, broken shade stems (with tall windows), missing shades, worn through shades, shredded curtains (threadbare), towels not replaced - the rooms made it seem like nobody cared. I couldn’t readily change hotels, so we made the best of things. Figured we’d sort it out later I’m an Ambassador Elite Marriott level. It’s the provides the highest level of service, supposedly. But this is the worst experience I’ve had for the price, ever. I will never return. When I reached out to them, they gave me 20,000 points. Seems insulting vis-a-vis a bill of $1,690 for 2 rooms, 2 nights.…
We hosted a business retreat at The Renaissance this week and I truly don't have enough great things to say about this hotel. They consistently provide top-notch service with an attentive, friendly staff. The meeting space is lovely and offers excellent views of Pittsburgh - a Steel City win-win!
I had a day-long meeting in the Rhapsody Boardroom with breakfast and lunch buffets. The space, food, and service exceeded expectations. Ms. Anuszek was helpful and informative! Thank you for a great day with a fantastic view!
The views are amazing. We were there for a business meeting all day and it was a great overall experience! When staying I wish they would bring back room service. The catering was delicious as well. You are close to everything in downtown Pittsburgh.
I attended the MPI Pittsburgh Chapter Mid-Year Retreat hosted by Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel. Although I was there virtually, I was very impressed with the meeting rooms AV set-up and large screen projection. I was able to see and hear my fellow colleagues clearly. I am looking forward to returning for an in-person meeting.
The Renaissance did hosted an excellent business retreat. Their meeting rooms were updated, had great natural light with a beautiful view. The AV system worked perfectly and the food was top quality! I was blown away by the food quality. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend hosting your next business meeting at the Renissance!
