Great first impression. Beautiful lobby! Front desk made sure to put us in a room with a great view and in the same floor as our friends. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy. It was awkward that there was only one chair to sit in while visiting with friends in room. I must say that EVERY...

I stayed at the Renaissance Pittsburgh for three nights on a business trip. This is a good downtown hotel option, with a bit more character than a typical chain hotel. The lobby in particular has a nice, old school vibe. WHY YOU'D LIKE THE RENAISSANCE PITTSBURGH 1. Comfortable rooms. Other reviews have cited the river view rooms. Even though I...

Just checked in, hopefully the stay gets better. -Only 1 person was at the desk at 4pm to check people in. Would assume the hotel is pretty empty, yet no one offered to help with my bags, or acknowledge me while I waited. -Wasn't recognized for my status. Was upgraded to a "city view", but it's really a view of...

Location is great for downtown activities, and the lobby is very elegant. The food at both breakfast and lunch was excellent. However, the most of the staff seemed to only be doing the minimum required to get the job done. Upon arrival, the doorman was engaged in conversation with someone and barely acknowledged us until we started struggling with our...

With many hotels to choose from in the Pittsburgh area, I'm so very grateful I chose the Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel while visiting my daughter. From check in to departure, I was met with friendly and inviting staff, from the valet to receptionist to bartender to waiter. Exquisite decor in the lobby, accenting the beautiful marble walls and grand staircase for...

Beautifully renovated with a true Pittsburgh History. Many rooms have a beautiful view of the rivers and stadiums. The décor is elegant and a throw back to the days of luxurious Hotels similar to those we have all seen in the movies. Staff is fantastic and there is valet parking!

Beautiful Hotel in the heart of Pittsburgh. Historic building updated to Modern Hotel standards. Visiting friends in August, this hotel is wishing walking distance to the stadiums, Warhol Museum and other local attractions. Plenty of good restaurants within and nearby. Very clean, comfortable and Quiet. The staff was welcoming and helpful whenever I asked for anything, or needed advice for...

Excellent location, really neat older building, high ceilings, excellent river views over PNC Park and Heinz Field. Booked through Hotwire and was very impressed. Breakfast is very nice but quite pricey. Close to everything.

Worst customer service ever. Stay somewhere else - plenty of better options on the other side of the river. The only reason I gave this a 3 was so you'd read my review (I tend to discount when someone rates a hotel a 1 because of service - trust me, this hotel deserves a 1). We were touring major league...
