We come to Pittsburgh often for sporting events. The only reason why we stay here of course is because of the location, besides that it's HORRIBLE. As Marriott gold members we only stay with the chain, but now when we travel back we will be looking at the Hyatt North Shore. The only friendly clean cut person was Ben at... More

Hotel staff is friendly. Free breakfast was good. We stayed in a two bedroom suite that was nice and spacious. It is RIGHT across the street from the Pirates home field. It is within walking distance of the waterfront and all the beautiful bridges. There were two things that I didn't love. The carpet in our room was filthy and... More

This was our second visit to this particular Marriott, and we still say it's one of the best values around. We stayed in room 824, a suite overlooking the main entrance to PNC Park. The Pirates were at home, and other than the lights of the ball park you would not be bothered by the noise of the crowds. Big... More

Stayed here for a concert. Our room was spacious but that's about it. There were several large stains on the carpet, pull out sofa bed was one of the worst I've seen, and the air didn't seem to be working in the middle of the night. Front desk staff was less then friendly as well. One of our friends was... More

We are very sorry to hear that you did not have an exceptional stay with us, Tat2rn. We truly did not live up to the level of service that is expected of my staff. I also apologize for the worn look of the carpet and sofa bed. The hotel will be undergoing renovations in the fall to recover the overall... More

Micah (he didn't wear a name tag, so we asked him his name) at the front desk is not very helpful. He needs a bit more training and often tells you "no" before really thinking about it. We have a service dog for our 7 yr old son who has autism and he was going to charge us the pet... More

Dear Jason W, Thank you for your review. I appreciate you acknowledging our shuttle driver, we are lucky to have him. I'm very sorry to hear that not all staff members were as accommodating and service oriented and I sincerely apologize that we were unable to provide you with the exceptional stay our guests have come to expect from us.... When in Pittsburgh to see the Pirates, you cannot beat the location of the Residence Inn North Shore. The total distance from front door to the stadium *might* be 50 yards. Otherwise, this is a typically high-value Residence Inn. Clean rooms, reasonably priced, no high-end bells and whistles. This place also has ample safe parking, and is walking distance from... More

Great location for events at PNC Park or Heinz Field. Stayed 1 night to attend a concert at Heinz Field. Staff was not prepared for the event. Rooms weren't ready at check-in time and could've been cleaner. Late night food service was slow (when they weren't busy) and inaccurate. Staff seemed to be troubled to provide basic service (silverware, take... More

Dear dzjenn, I am very sorry to hear your trip to Pittsburgh wasn’t quite what you expected, however I do have some confusion regarding your review. Our hotel does not offer late night food service, and all of our rooms were available by our standard check-in time. If you could reach out to me directly so that I can properly... More

We had not been to Pittsburgh in over thirty years and heard it was worth revisiting. While we generally prefer Marriott properties, the quality service provided by the outstanding staff at the hotel made our visit even more memorable. From the person who checked us in, to the shuttle bus driver who provided round-trip transportation to local sites, to the... More

I was in town for a quick visit to see a Pirates game. The location for sports is great: it is literally across the street from PNC Park, Heinz Field is a 5-minute walk, and the Consol Energy Centre is across the adjacent bridge. The neighbourhood is full of restaurants and bars, and the Warhol Museum is two blocks away.... More

I really wanted to give this hotel a very good rating, but the front desk agents were terrible. When I checked in I asked the agent if he needed to see my employee id being that I booked the hotel under my employer's corporate rate. He said no which surprised me a little. Sreike one. He didn't acknowledge that I... More
