Our family had a mini MLB Stadium tour in early June and spent 2 nights at the Residence Inn North Shore. The property is literally across the street from PNC Stadium. When we arrived around 1 PM our room was ready and we were allowed to check in early. The lobby and grounds were very clean and everything felt new. Our room was extremely nice and spacious with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room and kitchen along with a great view of the entrance to PNC Stadium. Breakfast was complimentary and also very good. The workout room was adequate, although the morning I used it the AC wasn’t cooling and the temperature in the room was about 76 degrees. We would 100% return to this property if we are back in Pittsburgh. For baseball fans, this property is a must stay if you are going to a Pirates game. And as a side note, PNC is an amazing Stadium with one of the best backdrops in the MLB (Our opinion).

Our room service lady, Naima, was AMAZING! The hotel was great and convenient. We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and work out areas made our slow days easier. There was always something to do. It is conveniently located close to a lot of stores also.

I just stayed at this property last weekend and it was like night and day compared to my first stay at this property a few years ago. Robert & Angela at the front desk were outstanding!! Their customer service was top notch!!! Super nice and friendly!! Billy the shuttle driver was hilarious!!! Our ice maker in the refrigerator was a little slow, so I went down to the front desk to get ask for some ice. One of the maintenance men named Allen (I hope I spelled his name right), disappeared and came back with three large ziploc bags full of ice. That was so sweet of him to do that!!! He is a cutie too!! The suite was super clean and comfortable. I liked the renovations and our floor was super quiet. We were on the 10th floor and the noise from outside was barely noticeable. I didn't get the special requests that I made via the Marriott Bonvoy website, but that was okay. My best friend and I still had a wonderful stay. It was his first time in Pittsburgh and he loved it. The special treat of $20 in free play for the casino was awesome!!! I will definitely stay here again!! Thank you & Kudos to Angela, Allen, Billy & Robert!!! You guys are the best!!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Residence Inn when we came to town for a Pirates game. Can’t beat the location of the hotel as it’s right across the street from the stadium. Hotel check in was very easy as Marcelo was friendly and very efficient! He gave us great information about the hotel’s amenities which was very helpful. The complimentary shuttle to take you to nearby establishments is a plus! Also guest laundry on the 3rd floor for those who need it! Parking is right behind the hotel and easy to get to. $27 a day is a bargain if you’re staying for a game as you can walk to the stadium. The complimentary breakfast is good and there’s lots of seating arrangements to choose from. You can also sit outside. The hotel room was nicely appointed with a kitchen and dining table. My only criticism, and that’s why I gave a 4 instead of a 5 rating, is the hotel bed. It’s was soft, lumpy, and very uncomfortable. If you can replace the bed, my rating would be a 5. Ask for a room that faces the stadium. The rooms that face the back (or parking) face the highway and I’ve been told can be noisy! Overall great experience!!

Wow! Thank you so much for your kind words! Marcelo leads by example in providing the excellent service we pride ourselves on providing. Not only do we have laundry on the 3rd floor, but on the 6th and 9th as well to provide adequate opportunities for all guests with no wait time. I also appreciate your words about the bed. They have not fallen on deaf ears, and I promise it is something we are looking into extensively. Thank you again and we hope to see you again soon, for a game, or just to enjoy Pittsburgh.

If it wasn’t for the bed, this hotel would have been a 5 Star for sure. However, since having a comfortable bed and getting a good night sleep is important to me, I had to give a honest rating. I frequently go on trips and know exactly what to expect, so I thought. I frequently take trips and usually stay at a Double Tree and never had this happen before. The bed had very little cushion and had a large divot in the middle, causing me to get a horrible backache, certainly not what I expected from an upper scale hotel.

Thank you so much for reaching out to us with your feedback regarding your stay. I'm so sorry you didn't get a good night sleep at our property-- something we truly pride ourselves on providing. While I am relieved to hear that your stay was a 5-star rating minus that issue, I am still deeply sorry we didn't meet your, or for that matter, our own standards during your time with us. We are working on solving this issue so that no one will experience it, and hope to see you again in the future to make up for it. Thank you again!
