With one friendly exception, customer service met minimal requirements. Overall, it felt as though COVID-19 meant staff and services were reduced. On 2 of 3 occasions when we approached the desk, we waited at least a couple minutes to be acknowledged. There were no other customers---employees were speaking with each other. The restaurant was closed. There is no room service. Apart from coffee in the lobby, there were no food suggestions until we asked later. We spent a lot of time looking for food. Other amenities--like bikes or the roof--were not mentioned. The roof--has a lovely view--but there is no heating element or covering from the rain. Our keys didn't work the second day and Boyfriend had to go all the way back down to the front desk--for some reason they thought we were checking out. The room was nice and minimalist. Aware of a possibility of a small, dark room, we requested an external view room. The bed was incredibly comfortable. That said, there was no housekeeping after the first day (COVID, we get it.) but there were inadequate towels/washcloths. We had to request hand soap and body wash. A/C did not conform to our bidding. We also had to manually open the windows when the room became hot. This hotel was...meh. The room had a contemporary feel and the bed was exquisitely comfortable, but in terms of amenities and value, I'd suggest a Holiday Inn Express.…
Had three days in Pittsburgh to instructing a class. The staff was excellent the room was very comfortable, clean and just right. The restaurants were nice, the food was very good. Parking attendants were Rey helpful, all in all it was excellent.
The Distrikt is a very nice hotel situated in downtown Pittsburgh. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the lobby spacious and nice. Staff is top notch. The problem is the restaurant is not open and there were no place to even get coffee on the property. As a Diamond HH members it is nice to have a breakfast at the hotel but needed to leave to do that. And it is also nice to have a nightcap in the hotel bar which was also closed. The only option for anything were vending machines. The market area is a good place to work to restaurants and had a good meal City Works and a drink at a nearby Morton's. Will give it another try when the restaurant reopens.
The helpful staff, cleanliness of the property and room, convenient location, comfortable bed, A/C cool and quiet. All things that help a great stay, this hotel has. We will definitely stay here again.
Upon arrival, we were placed in a room stains on the bed sheets. See pictures. After contacting the front desk, they asked if we wanted new bed sheets. We requested another room. After being placed in a new room, the pillow cases and bed sheets had large, obvious holes in them. The pillows had been placed to hide these holes. See pictures. I cannot recommend this hotel and would actively avoid. Thanks.
