Well this hotel needs to do a little better. It is clean and nice but nothing special. At least provide robes in your rooms. Checkin is always a little slow. And the restaurant is passable but not great. Seems like Westin is a Marriott stepchild. The location is great.

We flew from SF to attend a family wedding. Our estimated arrival time was 11:30pm. Prior to our flight departure I checked in on line the day of our arrival. We arrived arrayed 11:30pm to see why we hadn't been assigned a room number on the Marriott bonvoy app. We were told that our room had been given away! We are three 70+ aged seniors, two with disabilities. After protesting our room give away we had to walk with our luggage to a near by hotel at midnight. The next day we had to walk back to the Westin to see if our rooms were available. One was available. We received compensation for the other hotel. After posting my review on Marriot I received an email from upper management saying things happen like this. Then an apology on the Marriott app. I don't understand why a hotel will not honor this reservation . It was backed by my credit card and confirmed four days earlier and by checking in on their app. It was very upsetting to have us walking downtown at midnight each pushing 6 bags back and forth. I do not trust this business to treat seniors fairly.

We went here attending a conference. About 1600 people attended. So part of a very large group. Hotel is in a very good location with a walking bridge to the conference. Hotel checkin was very efficient. Parking in the garage was a challenge in and out and over price. Had to call assistance for getting out. Hotel is outdated and could definitely use an upgrade. It was very rude of them to close the elevators for the college football team and force many others to stand around waiting. I was on upper floor wanting to get down handicap so need the elevator. To me this was extremely rude and poor customer service. Room had a safe fridge but no microwave.

I have stayed at this hotel three times since Jan 2023. Most recently was a few weeks ago. Hotel is nice, good central location, comfortable bed, and average clean. My biggest complaint is the thermostat in the room is for looks only. In the winter no matter what the device says it is a fixed temperature of hot. In August I had it set to as low as 60F and the room stayed at 77F no matter what the setting was. The building is older and the HVAC system must be centrally managed. For the poor HVAC control in your room I would recommend somewhere else.

We found the huge hotel that was located near the convention center very convenient for the Sr. Games....but our large room was in need of an update. Shower wand spewed water everywhere, carpets and windows were dirty, and perks that we have become accustomed to at the Westin....were not always present. Especially missed the Starbucks coffee in the room and a decent hot breakfast that we could order from the menu. We did appreciate fast elevators and infused water in lobby. Staff was "spotty". Parking was problematic. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance. Found Pittsburgh a nice size. Absolutely loved driving 1.5 hr. south to Farmington area and touring Fallingwaters, Polymath Park ( lunch atTreetops restaurant), and biking/kaying in Ohiopyle state park. Shocked at Western Pennsylvania's beauty...and our desire to return.

Location was great. Room was fine. The biggest problem is the parking. I paid a daily fee for in and out privileges but I was told that it might be full if I left so I had to Uber everywhere. Seems wrong…

My wife and I stayed here 5 nights while attending a conference. We had a nice room on the 21st floor. The room was spacious and clean. My wife has a muscle disease and the bed was comfortable for her. We also had a fantastic housekeeper, a woman originally from Bosnia. My wife and I have worked with helping refugees resettle in the Pittsburgh area for over twenty years. Many work in hotels. It was great getting to meet our housekeeper and conversing with her. I would stay here again if I were attending a conference.

Air conditioning was better in the hallway than in the room. The fan made a loud noise. Bathroom smelled bad and shower drained slow. Beds made loud creaking noise every time there was movement. Just not what we expected from a Westin. Also, charged an inflated rate due to a concert. The lobby was beautiful, but the room did not live up to expectations. And we had to park in the convention center because parking under hotel was full.

So dirty, I thought there was a layer of plastic over them. Please hire a window cleaner, Otherwise, a great hotel! The staff was very friendly, (Reception, bartenders in the restaurant, doorman, security….everyone). Taylor Swift was in town, so I was anticipating a lot of partying, but it was actually quite lovely.
