Very dated hotel, the rooms needs a renovation badly. The parking is a joke-need to pay at a machine because property does not allow parking charges at folio. If you are in/out of the hotel 5 times you will need to stand in front of a stupid machine 5 times to pay. Does not make much sense. No laundry bag was provided and the beds were extremely uncomfortable (so much for a heavenly bed). According to the hotel I got an upgraded room - can’t image what the regular room be like. Honestly I had better stays at the Pitts Courtyard 5 minutes from this hotel.
The hotel has been closed for several months due to COVID and the night we checked in was their first night back open. They said they only had about 20 rooms occupied that first night, 60 the next, and 200 Saturday night. Traveled to Pittsburg for business so we were relieved it was open. Although the hotel is aged, it was clean. The lobby area is very welcoming. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We asked for extra pillows and towels and they were brought to our room within 10min. We had no issues the first night, but after that we had very low water pressure. Although there were not coffee stations in the room they brought one up when we asked about it. The Westin is in a great location with several restaurants within walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel was very good and the service was great, although pricy, I highly recommend it. …
I have stayed at this property more than any other hotel. I remember when this was a Doubletree property in the late 90's! They have made a lot of upgrades to the lobby and the property in general and it is all great. The new elevator system is a little different, but it's a great addition. Consider staying here when in Pittsburgh.
This is a beautiful hotel in downtown Pittsburgh, which means it's a shirt Uber ride to anything downtown. It's very modern, very clean, and as with all Westin hotels, the staff is very professional. The room was great, and Bills burger bar downstairs was excellent as well.
Great location and updated hotel. There is construction in the front that needs to be completed. Had to detour a few times. Do not get the room 715....we received it as an upgrade and it was odd cold and not comfortable.
