A long overdue trip back, but how lovely to find that The Priory is even better! The rooms are comfortable and restful, the atmosphere is special, and the Monk's Bar is a fantastic addition. Nicest is the courtyard, where the delicious breakfast may be enjoyed amidst the hydrangeas and water fountain. The Priory is a must visit destination in Pittsburgh!

My recent stay at the Priory was for a business trip. This lovely hotel was much more affordable than the brand name conference block hotel. I selected it because of its history. It used to be a Priory. In addition it advertised a German continental breakfast daily and free shuttle to the surrounding areas. This hotel delivered on everything. It... More

Lovely turn-of-the-century converted "monestary"(?). Walking distance of PNC Park (10 mins). Excellent and helpful staff. Well-appointed rooms. Lovely décor. Very nice café/continental breakfast. Has a very nice private "patio" area for morning coffee. Would stay here again and recommend in a minute.

I attended at wedding banquet at their absolutely beautiful banquet hall. I'm in the hotel business so have managed or attended many hundreds of such events. I was positively impressed with the staff and service, the food was as good as I have ever had at a banquet. And, the hall itself is very impressive! While I did not stay... More

Stayed here for a wedding. Huge room. Old high quality woodwork that was unique. Free breakfast. Very nice boutique hotel if you want a north side location. Away from the downtown area but close to the stadiums.

Nice quiet location, beautiful historic building. Continental breakfast was nice, with clean tables, good selection of items. Fresh fruits, bakery items, juices, tea, coffee and water. This was a very clean hotel, friendly staff and lots of history in the decorating. The small courtyard is a wonderful plus. Our room was spotless, and pretty. The room was small, but laid... More

The small hotel lobby/bar, free breakfast area and outdoor garden are gems that make this place special. The guest rooms have been thoroughly redone and are somewhat small with no hint of their former use. The best part was the friendly service. It was not too busy when we were there so we made extensive use of the hotel shuttle.... More

We saw the reviews before booking, so I did expect to find something good. It is true, it is a very nice hotel, a hidden gem in a former german neighbourhood area. Small rooms but clean. Receptionists are always nice, we met 3 of them and all were always helpful. They provide free wireless, breakfast included, good one (but not... More

This is a truly beautiful building. Staff was helpful and attentive. This hotel is not downtown. It's over a bridge. I walked the neighborhood during the day. Would not do so at night. The hotel provides a free shuttle which will take you to, and pick you up from, anywhere in downtown. The drivers, Mike and Herman, were very knowledgable... More

I went looking for a well priced single room and found one here. The hotel used to be a monastery so it has a great deal of character. The breakfast was good and a bit more than your standard continental. The courtyard inside the hotel is the perfect spot to unwind after a busy day in Pittsburgh. The staff go... More
