Located in a neighborhood of Victorian homes this charming hotel was once part of a church. Everything about it is beautiful from the exterior to the public areas to the individual rooms. The staff is particularly friendly and helpful and they even provide a free shuttle to take you anywhere in the city. The rooms are spacious, have large windows... More

Wonderful boutique hotel located in Deutchtown, Pittsburgh, within walking distance of PNC Park (Pirates) and the Andy Warhol Museum (not to be missed!). A free shuttle is available for destinations in the Cultural District. Don't oversleep. Breakfast is well worth waking for! Freshly baked goodies, fresh fruit, coffee, juices, cheese, meats were plentiful and delicious! The rooms are furnished with... More

My husband and I have heard for years how lovely Pittsburgh has become over the last few years and so we went for just a couple of nights to see the city. Yes, it is a wonderful city with plenty to see. I check, as usual, on the Trip Advisor site for a hotel and up popped The Priory as... More

My wife and I found this hotel on TA when looking for a place to stay while completing our trip on the Great Allegheny Passage. The location is good, the price is right, the rooms are clean and neat, and it's bicycle friendly. Converted from a monastery, the architecture is interesting. It is located in the Deutschtown neighborhood of Pittsburgh,... More

We booked this hotel after seeing all the really positive reviews on this site and the price was right for a hotel in the city. The only room still available was the Deluxe King, and it was a good sized room with a comfortable king sized bed. The hotel itself is beautiful, lots of attention to detail, and the courtyard... We stayed here last week and had a great time. The rooms are very large and clean. The breakfast was continental style, and the baked goods were very good. They were available at their bakery which was within walking distance of the hotel. We had planned on leaving when we checked out and visiting Penn Ave, but the receptionist told... More

Loved my stay. Very modern updates to a beautiful historical hotel. I felt safe parking and at hotel as a solo female. About a 10 minute drive to university of Pittsburgh. A previous reviewer was upset about breakfast for their child with celiac. I avoid gluten and dairy and could eat the fruit, hard boiled eggs, and cold cuts. I... More

Let me first get this out of the way - the Priory is definitely off the beaten track and is not remotely near any of the city centers, so plan accordingly. Fortunately the hotel does a great job with their shuttle and we used it often to get around. But if you're looking for a downtown location to walk the... More

Service was pretty good even though my boyfriend and I checked in late (almost 10 pm). The hotel was beautiful and had a great history. We got a couple glasses of wine from the modest bar that turned out to be pretty nice, and then we thoroughly enjoyed them in the pretty courtyard. The next morning we ate the continental... More

I stumbled across the Priory while googling hotels based on morning appointments I had downtown. While there were a few options, the aesthetic appeal of the Priory caught my eye. Boy, was I not disappointed when I arrived. The hotel is a preserved, gilded age era former Benedictine residence. The level of architectural preservation is so charming and stunning. Everything...
