Good location and friendly and prompt service. Restaurant not very good and over priced. Quilts should be replaced more frequently - we found stains. Good price for the type of hotel and nice pool with plenty of clean towels.
Upon arriving we were taken back by all the construction in the area, but we soon realized that we could have a very enjoyable stay even in light of that. I cannot wait to return when the construction is complete and have an even better experience!
One of the worst experiences for a “quality” hotel. No fridge, no microwave, no breakfast included, small beds, small room, shower that didn’t work right, $33 parking each night… should I go on? The “free” coffee tastes like potting soil!🤮
I was traveling by public transportation and this property was located very convenient to my needs for an overnight stay. Property located across the street from a light-rail/subway station and about one-half mile from inter-city bus and train stations. Price was quite reasonable. The hotel was wonderful, one of the nicer ones I have used. Room was well-appointed, everything extremely clean and up-to-date, bed quite comfortable, everything worked properly. My only regret was that the hot water was not as warm as I would like for shaving with a blade, but was still comfortable for a shower. Their indoor pool was large and clean. Breakfast was included in the room rate and in the on-property restaurant. I needed to hurry that morning as my transportation departed early. The server understood my needs and delivered my breakfast quickly; she was courteous and professional. The quality and amount of food was very satisfactory. Would definitely stay there again.…
A few friends and I rented a double room for an event at PPG. Check in was smooth, we took our things to our room and left for dinner. Once we returned, all of our bags were missing. We spoke to the front desk who said, "What do you want me to do about it?" I asked if they might have cleaned the room and placed the bags in a lost and found. She refused to allow me to see the lost and found to check for my bag. I asked for a refund, and she said I should probably file a police report first. I asked if they had cameras that could've seen anything. She told me they only have cameras on the 6th floor and the lobby. So I called the authorities, who arrived on scene, took notes and asked some questions. The officer then suggested we deactivate our current keys, and get new ones made. We returned to the front desk with the officer and asked to have the keys switched. Front desk then tells us that they DO NOT deactivate keys! (Probably how all my belongings were taken) The lady at the desk said she'd just put us on a different floor. I asked if we could move to the 6th floor where they have cameras. She said there weren't any available. She then moved us to the room right next to the one we were robbed in. For over $200 the night we stayed, it was appalling to me that guest safety wasn't a priority. I wouldn't stay here again, and suggest anyone reading this doesn't either.…
When i checked out I asked how i would be charged for parking. There was a problem with the parking system so when I got home I had another charge for almost twice the posted amount and never received a copy of the room charge.
My family and I stayed at this property because we were going to a show at the PPG Paints Arena. Parking was in the hotel, the walk to the show was 5 minutes, and the hotel itself was EXCEPTIONAL. It was so clean and welcoming. We were so happy with the staff and their hospitality. We will never stay anywhere else when we go into Pittsburgh. I would recommend this location to everyone, especially if you are wanting cleanliness, safety, convenience and modernness.
Stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament with several teams also staying. Valet parking was convenient and prompt, however they charged me for two vehicles each day when I only had one. I had to call the hotel twice to get that resolved after I got home. The bathroom had a musty odor to it and had towels for three people, which was odd because I booked the room for four people. No housekeeping unless you request it a day in advance. That is ridiculous and something I see many hotels doing now. Another way to save a buck with the previously used excuse of Covid. I had to go down to the front desk for towels each time we needed to refresh. Biggest complaint were the beds. Each bed would barely fit one adult let alone two. Couldn't change rooms because they were sold out. Beware of the two bed rooms. If you have more than two people in those rooms, bring an air mattress for the hallway.…
Do not stay at this hotel if there is a Penguins game next door. It is loud and they do not allow guests to park in the lot unless you prepaid. There was no information about this on the website or any Hilton emails confirming the room. If you need the elevator it takes up to 15 minutes for one to arrive and it’s full of drunk sports fans. Unless you are staying to take part- AVOID this hotel!!
Visited Pittsburg for a concert early February 2023 and stayed for several nights. I arrived after 8:00 pm from the airport to check-in and there was a long line of customers waiting to check-in. There were three guest agents working the front desk. It took about 15 minutes for me to get to the front desk and get checked-in. The guest agent that help me check-in was not flustered by the line of waiting customers. But since the front desk was obviously busy that night, I wasn't offered a warm chocolate chip cookie. I booked a standard room with a king bed. The room was dated but in decent condition and showed signs of being well used. The Bigelow Grille Kitchen and Bar has good food. The hosts and servers that I interacted with each time I visited the Bigelow Grille were courteous. There was a lady guest agent that went the extra mile to help me with an issue with the laundry service. The location is great. Very walkable to downtown landmarks, restaurants and attractions. …
