Remember going to grandmas house? This is just like going to visit her and grandpa. The place is HOME. Extraordinarily quiet and peaceful. I have been 3 times, and always feel a peace that is beyond explanation. Then breakfast. Not just one thing for all, but exactly what you would like. Pancakes or French toast with real maple syrup. Eggs the way you want them. Excellent coffee...plus so much more. Georgia and Reid treat you like family, and they became friends overnight. Each room is unique and wonderful in it's own way. The upstairs of the house has great kitchen and living area to enjoy. God willing we will return again and again. If I could rate it with 10 stars, I would.
Warm and quiet place to stay. Owners where great and made a big tasty breakfast for us. Cool common areas to hang out in but watch the comfy chairs in the livingroom you will dose off. Porch was great nice view and quiet road.
This was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and was not what I expected. We stayed in the covered bridges 2 room “suite”. PROS : Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Close to Knoebels amusement park. Everything very clean. CONS: Rooms VERY small with poor lighting. Smallest bathroom I have ever seen - no place to put toiletries - type of shower they have on cruise ships. Very outdated furnishings, some people call it quaint - I call it old. Breakfast was not made to order - two selections were pre-cooked quiche and French toast. Steep poorly lit staircase.
Only had a short stay but the couple were very friendly and it was a relaxing experience. The pancakes were scrumptious and the omelette s very tasty. We got to drive to Knoebels in about 7 mins very convenient.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Beagle's the weekend of November 13th, 2021 after a local friend recommended it. We were in town for the Penn State/Michigan game, but we opted to stay in Paxinos as opposed to trying to get a hotel in State College. We stayed in the Coal Cracker room and found it cozy, inviting, and the perfect little oasis to come back to after a long, VERY chilly day at the football stadium! We loved the little fireplace in the room, and the accommodations were spacious and comfortable. One quick note to the owners -- when we arrived, at first, we thought the toilet was not working, but my boyfriend quickly realized the water valve had been shut off. I would not have known that if I'd been traveling alone! Also, it would be a good idea to let guests know that you have to push a button on the showerhead to get the water to come out. We also had trouble getting hot water, which made for chilly showers each morning. Despite the minor water hiccups, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely book a room at Beagles again the next time we are in the area. We do regret that our plans did not allow us to try out the breakfasts each day, but maybe next time!…
Such a nice, comfortable B & B. Proprietors Georgia and Reid were so welcoming. Felt like we knew them for years. Our room was spotless. There were two common areas for relaxing or cooking. Wifi was great. Breakfast was even better where they took our order while we sat at the table and freshly prepared pancakes and sausage for me, scrambled eggs and sausage for my wife. We would definitely stay there again.
Found this place while looking for rooms near Knoebles. We stayed in the Homestead Room. Reid and Georgia were willing to accommodate for our daughter by making sure there was an air bed there for her to sleep in. Self check in was simple and great after a long day at the amusement park. Breakfast the next morning was way better than what we were expecting. Everyone that was there was talking and enjoying each other's company. Will stay here again. My only minor complaint in the water pressure was really low.
Our family stayed in the Birdhouse room. The 6 of us had more then enough room, and with the balcony, it was very refreshing at night after our day at Knoebels. There are plenty of common areas to relax and feel as if you are at home. Reid and Georgia Beagle could not have been any more friendlier and communication was simple and easy. We had more then enough for breakfast, and their conversation was the best. Thank you so much, and we will be back.
We had a wonderful time! House was very clean and comfortable. Georgia was a wonderful host. We will be back. I highly recommend. Came to town with the family for the funeral. We took all the rooms. Home cooked breakfast was amazing,
It was such a nice place, clean, welcoming very cozy atmosphere. We enjoyed sitting outside rocking on the swings during the day. Great breakfast in the AM. The owner Georgia is a wonderful friendly person.
