This is a beautiful interesting older building conveniently sited with very welcoming and gracious hosts. the rooms are spotlessly clean and comfortable, with many well sourced ornaments and decorations, We enjoyed scrumptious homemade breakfasts. This place is well worth a stay when you're in the area.
Charming and clean. The owners were super friendly and most accommodating. My husband couldn't eat a few items due to a dietary restriction and they substituted different foods which was so nice of them! They have a coffee/tea bar with hot chocolate mixes and cookies that are always available along with a fresh baked brownie or cake of the day. Breakfasts were delish and portions very generous. I loved the peach French toast and my hubby loved their egg/potato/cheese frittata. Also this B&B has small wall mounted TV screens & CD players in each room providing cable service and a bookcase full of CD's in the puzzle room if you don't like what's on TV. All rooms have their own baths, they are on the small side, but you're talking about a house built in 1825, it's amazing they were able to add private showers at all. Hot water was plentiful when showering and they provided a cute basket of soaps/shampoos. The king bed was soft with nice linens (we stayed in the Mallard room). The only ding would be the duvet cover. I'm not a big fan of them since they make me too hot, but that's just my preference. If you love B&B's you won't be disappointed.... now I have to figure out how to make that peach french toast!…
We had a great time at the 1825 Inn during the holidays. We gathered with our extended family from throughout the Mid-Atlantic to spend a weekend together. The Innkeepers, Don and Ellen, were tremendous hosts. The decorations gave the entire Inn a Christmas vibe and the breakfasts were outstanding and Don accommodated the many special requests. Would definitely recommend.
Easy access to main streets of Hershey, PA. Innkeepers very friendly, helpful, hospitable. Rooms were very neat and tidy. Travellers would be well advised to include this inn on there journey. Bring a big appetite for breakfast!
The 1825 Inn is a rare find. It has the 1825 feel but with all of the modern amenities. The breaksfast Don and Ellen provide is exceptional with its elegant presentation and delicious flavor. We love everything about the inn and highly recommend it!
