Rooms clean and attractive, very quiet. Motel is set up to avoid encounters with staff, not sure I like that. I stayed three days as a base for biking and hiking in Ohiopyle State Park. Not many lodging options in small Ohiopyle. Quite a few of the people staying were bikers on the nearby Great Allegheny Passage. Bring your cleaned bike into your room for security if you want, but best to select a room at ground level because the outdoor stairway is quite steep.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights during our GAP trip. The suite had a brand new couch and chair and carpeting. It was very, very clean. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the pillows were even worse but we made do. My biggest complaint was that the breakfast, which was arranged through a trip company, wasn’t delivered till 8:30 AM. When we requested an earlier time, they could only promise (and they did) an 8:20 time, making us hit the trail quite a bit later than we would have liked.
An old lodge/motel, in adequate condition, and very clean. Not sure where “suites” comes into play. No bike storage—we cleaned our and put them in room. 4pm check-in is a little onerous, but our reserved room was ready when we arrived at 3:30. Falls Market around the corner had breakfast items and our room had fridge, microwave, and single cup coffee maker with pods & condiments. Wifi worked fine. Beds were okay. All & all, an okay place to stay in Ohiopyle.
Stayed here for a night while riding the GAP bike trail. It’s very close to the visitor’s center and offers easy online check-in, including a lockbox to retrieve your key without interaction. Handy during pandemic and definitely addresses those with concerns. The room (105 Swimmers) appeared recently refinished. It’s a certain older style look and feel - kind of national park cabin feel with wood log bed frames and wood log chairs out front , clean and comfortable. I was worried after reading some reviews, but the hotel is fine and I’d stay here again. When I’m in a city, I have expectations. When I’m in a laid back vacation town along the beautiful river, I liked the Ohiopyle Suites and the charm that definitely fits the environment. That either reads as condescending or preachy - but just trying to convey it’s a good vacation hotel and I’m glad I stayed here. Up until the sun reached its late afternoon angle, I enjoyed sitting on the porch on the log chair and then the quick walk for dinner.…
We stayed in a 2 room suite. The room was clean which was great. Our room had one AC unit in the sitting area which made it difficult to cool down the bedrooms. We considered our room pretty ordinary overall. Also, we would suggest you add set hours for the washer and dryer as it was closed when we came back from dinner.
Stayed for two nights while visiting the Laurel Highlands. Contact-less check-in was easy to complete. Excellent location for my trip. Restaurants were within walking distance. I would stay here again.
The room was clean and location is good. The price on the website was $130 which is expensive enough for what you get, but then there was an added $25 cleaning fee. With tax the total was $180 for a very basic motel room. Ohiopyle is a lovely place to visit and we really enjoy riding the GAP trail, but I don’t think I would stay here again due to the price.
Contactless check in was simple. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed. Good shower pressure. We were able to park car directly in front of our room. Safe area. Restaurants walking distance but most closed Monday through Wednesday during our stay. Met friendly and helpful maintain excellent man when leaving. Would definitely stay again.
The place was perfectly located, spacious and clean. Perfect for a place to recover after a day on the water and an evening at the pub!! Thank you, and wow, I have to add more characters because there is a minimum - here they are!!
We arrived and got checked in using their no contact system. The room had some recent updates but looked more or less like what it was - a mid century motel. It was clean but for $150 a night I would hope for more. The location was adjacent to our trip departure so that was good. but beyond that it was a poor value
