Overall this stay was fine but had ups and downs. Our reservation was confirmed but there was a problem and the room I chose was not available. We were offered the Elk Room, which was fine except we didn't care for the decor. We ended up appreciating the detachment from the main house, as well as the large lovely patio area with a table and chairs and glider. The room was very clean and spacious. There is a large jacuzzi available as well. We loved taking a glass of wine down to the gazebo and enjoying the serenity of the pond. Only real negative is that I wouldn't classify it as a real B&B. We were given a paper with breakfast options, like hard-boiled eggs, cereal in individual cartons, yogurt, bagels, etc. We stayed 2 nights and received breakfast supplies for both mornings, didn't get a choice for something different the second morning. I didn't want a cold dry bagel but did discover the microwave also has a toaster attached which was appreciated. We found a great cafe nearby instead and had a hot breakfast. There is not a reliable wifi signal in the Elk Room so if you want to use your netflix or have work to do that relies on a signal you won't be able to do that in this room. It was also a bit disconcerting to have to pay in cash, not even a check. Might be nice if they offered Venmo at least, don't like carrying so much cash.

Needed to get some relaxation time in, away from everything. This was the place to do it ! We stayed in the Elk Suite, which is a Fantastic suite with bedroom, bath and a Large living room/breakfast area. My wife and I both loved the rustic and very comfortable decor. This room also had it's own rap around deck with outdoor seating, overlooking the 2 lakes and corn field. The hosts Donna & John were very friendly and accommodating. We will be making more trips out there. Thanks Donna for giving me the down time that I Really needed ! Jay M

“Disappointing” is the word for our experience at the Dockside Bed and Breakfast in New Tripoli, PA. Too bad, because the setting is lovely with a small lake, gazebo, paddleboat and outdoor fire grate. But our two-night stay will not be repeated. The website misleads with a view from the lake of the owner’s home, not the guest rooms. Our room’s refrigerator did not have an ice compartment despite the website’s assertion. The “full breakfast in your room” pictured on the website is not cooked, but comprised of cereal, pastry, bread and fruit as pre-ordered by the guest and delivered in a basket. While COVID requires such flexibility, good customer service still requires transparency. The croissants offered on the order form were not provided and bagels were substituted without any request or courtesy (“Would it be all right for you if we substituted bagels?”) The second day was worse: no bagels or croissants at all, even though it was the same breakfast order. The “Garden Room” where we stayed, while adequately appointed, was immediately adjacent to the air conditioner blower units for the entire house. They ran noisily all night. Our room had no separate heating/cooling controls so was quite cold the first night. The host suggested shutting the vents: it made the temperature more comfortable but did not abate the noise. The hosts choose not to use credit cards except to guarantee the room and as a guarantee of payment for those who have to cancel. That is a business decision and we were happy to pay by check. But multiple reminders of the payment method were insulting. We presume the hosts have been victimized by past non-payment. Why not pay the 3% to the credit card company ($10.56 on our two night booking for $352), obtain peace of mind and omit the rudeness to the guests? There is a difference between being allowed to stay somewhere and being received with hospitality as welcome guests. Our experience at Dockside was the former, not the latter: disappointing.

Donna's property is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I went on an overnight getaway to have some much needed alone time from our toddler and this stay was everything we were looking for and more. Donna was super communicative, she went above and beyond to ensure we had what we needed and had a positive experience. We stayed in the Elk suite, the decor and ambiance was so perfectly set for the rustic feeling of the property. It was extremely clean and there was a nice jacuzzi as well. We ordered takeout from a local restaurant and ate on the gazebo overlooking the lake. She also had a fire pit available for use. I would definitely stay again. Thank you again Donna for an excellent trip!

Stayed at Dockside last weekend and it was everything we hoped for. A beautiful, clean place, with friendly host. Donna, our host, was great, so friendly and welcoming. The private lake with a paddle boat and gazebo were really nice. The rooms were stocked with water, coffee, fruit, bagels, danish and other snacks. We are already trying to get dates to rent this place again. Absolutely loved this place.

My girlfriend and I were in New Tripoli for the Americana music festival at Eight Oaks Farm Distillery (highly recommend going there as well) and spent the night at Dockside. There was a hiccup where they didn't have our reservation saved, but they accommodated us by giving us the more expensive Elk Room for the same price as the Garden Room. The place was very cozy, the king size bed was super comfortable, and the views of the lake were beautiful, especially at sunrise. I left my cell phone charger in the room by accident and they shipped it to me no questions asked. All in all it was a great experience and wish we could've stayed an extra night!

My husband and I stayed in the Elk Suite over the past weekend and couldn’t be happier. I HIGHLY recommend Dockside. They were so welcoming and the property is beautiful. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Overlooking the lake was the best part. We did the paddle boats and fire pit and night. The breakfast voucher was great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We will be returning again in the fall for another great, but different experience. Thank you Donna and Bob! :)

My husband and I wanted to get away for a night during 4th of July weekend. Knowing the Shore and Poconos would be very crowded I looked online for a more secluded place to stay and found this beautiful B&B. A very nice more modern home with a beautiful view of pond and gazebo. Our room was bright and very clean and smelled good too. It had a very comfortable king size bed and nice bathroom. We had our own entrance and did not go in the main house at all. We had our breakfast at a nearby restaurant which was included and was very good. The best part was it was quiet although there were some other houses around. I went for a walk and not one car came down the street the whole time.It was just what I was looking for.

Dockside Bed and Breakfast offers so much to its visitors. My wife and I stayed in the Elk Suite and found it extremely comfortable. We loved our view, of the lake and surroundings, from our private deck. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend! I recommend for anyone looking for a nice weekend getaway.

The B&B owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable, relaxing and enjoyable. Unlike a lot of other B&B's we stayed in, they personally greeted us upon arrival, made sure they answered any questions we had and were accessible all weekend long. The room was very clean, pleasantly appointed and had all the amenities we needed to make our stay extremely enjoyable.
