Lodge location is perfect—and there is a Wawa right on the corner for my morning coffee. New owner is making renovations. The pool area is gorgeous! Has a nice storage bin with water guns, snorkel sets and goggles...

My husband and I rented out the Carriage House for our wedding weekend in August, held at Stella of New Hope. This was by far one of the best decisions we made! We had two of our closest friends stay in the...
My husband and I just returned from an amazing stay at The Carriage House of New Hope. If you get the opportunity to go New Hope, look no further than The Carriage House! All of their rooms are spectacular but we...
Recently spent 2 nights at Umpleby House. The accommodations are nice, the hosts are very friendly and the Inn is only 3 blocks from the downtown area of New Hope. We were able to walk in to town each day.
We stayed here for my birthday weekend. The room was comfortable, the bedroom upstairs with a fireplace and a deck. Downstairs the was a massive jetted tub. Breakfast was next door at the Wedgewood Inn as they are both run by the same innkeeper. We enjoyed talking with Carl the Innkeeper. He shared his knowledge of the area's history and had great suggestions on area pubs and restaurants. Just a short walk and you are in the middle of town with access to stores and restaurants, however it is nice and quiet at this B&B. The best of both worlds!
My wife and I rented the cottage behind the Umpleby House (operated by the same folks as Wedgwood B&B next door) for a 2-night weekend and came away extremely happy and satisfied by the accommodations. Right off the bat, let's make clear this is an older building, and so shoppers should not be surprised to find 6 1/2-foot ceilings on the main floor (building is 200+ years old) or that it has an "older" feel; but it's tastefully decorated and comes with a 2-person hot tub with plenty of room and a wood burning stove in what is more or less a small seating area (couch, a few side chairs). The bathroom (shower stall, sink and toilet) is also on the main floor and sufficient, and the hosts stock the cabin with a coffee maker, coffee/teas, fresh fruit and a microwave. The queen-bedroom is upstairs and offers a private outdoor patio as well for relaxation; plenty of closet space as well. Those who need to be hard-wired into the Internet 24/7 need to either sit in the back yard or in the common areas of the Wedgwood as WiFi is weak in the cottage, but that's truly the only knock (if that's an important service for you). The cottage is quaint, very private, and perfect for a romantic getaway. We're plan to make it back there at some point, as the location is great (downtown New Hope is a 2-block walk, and you're almost across the street from Triumph brew pub). Highly recommended, oh, and the breakfasts are tasty, especially the quiche and breakfast breads. "Sleep quality" only gets 4 stars because of the proximity to the main road into New Hope and because some neighbor decided to start blowing leaves at 7:45 a.m. on a Saturday, which is utterly rude (but no fault of Wedgwood's). Light sleepers MAY want to bring some kind of sound machine to drown out the occasional sound you'll hear). Otherwise, bedroom and bed quality are perfectly fine.…
