Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast offers something a national chain motel can't: an experience beginning with a friendly human welcome at the door; a home-cooked meal each morning, and attentive service. Country Hearth is in an 18th century home / replete with historic architectural interest. The vegetarian breakfasts are photo worthy. I am a foodie of sorts and these meals exceded my expectations. My husband loved his "Huevos Rancheros" and the Georgian cheese, egg and bread "Khachipuri." I liked everything: the muffins and scones, the variety of fruit based salads, and each morning's egg based entrees. Our bedroom had a little chandelier, a fireplace, a loveseat sofa and a quiet AC with a handheld remote. The private bathroom features 2 shower heads in the spacious shower. This home was built in 1793 and it sits on the corner of a main thorofare. You can hear the clip clop of horse and buggy carriages and peer out the windows as they pass by. Evening traffic might annoy those seeking a more rural setting, but it lulled us to sleep, because the bed linens were so soft and the mattress so comfortably firm. The present B&B owners are new, but they are familiar with how outstanding B&B's operate. I believe Thomas and James are putting the "Heart" into the Hearth. Their delight and love for what they are doing is evident. They are making updates while retaining the authenticity of an historic home. Their attention to detail and hospitality is unique. We hope to return whenever we are in the area!

Where to begin? Thomas and James are fantastic. The vibe of the Country Hearth is so relaxing. I'm usually the person that wants to get up on travel day and head home at the break of dawn. Not so much on this trip. I didn't want to leave. We were there for two nights and the breakfast each following morning was amazing. I'm not sure I have the correct description of the French Toast but wow. We stayed in the Star Room which has a great Jacuzzi tub. I watched half of a movie sitting in the Jacuzzi. The location of the B&B is in a rural area but within a five to ten minute drive you can have anything you need especially if you are craving some Sheetz (Tots right?). There is always a Keurig to use and always snacks and cold drinks in the refrigerator. I went to get a pizza Sunday night and we were surprised when invited down to the Gathering Room to share a pie with Thomas and James and another couple who were staying. We had a fantastic time sitting and talking, and while I always say it is the little things that people love, this wasn't a little thing. This was Thomas and James doing what they love to do. They spend every day doing what they love to do, hosting people in a fantastic 1790's home in a great area of our state. I envy them for being able to do what they not only love to do, but doing what they are fantastic at. This was our first stay there but it will not be the last. I'm going to Google everything about the area just for an excuse to come back. And right before we left, after we were given an awesome to-go bag of snacks for the trip, they invited us to just stop in to see them anytime we are driving through even if we aren't staying. Please try this B&B when you are looking for options. And my words won't talk you into how it is. You'll see for yourselves.

James is very accommodating, and a wonderfully attentive host while Thomas makes the delicious breakfasts that we enjoyed every morning. Don't worry about leaving hungry, James even packed the leftovers for our "snacks of the day". . . . which we, of course, appreciated immensely. The rooms are very quaint, immaculately clean, and full of amenities and what they don't have in the room, the innkeepers have downstairs, including toiletries, drinks (coffee, water, soft drinks, and a huge selection of teas), DVDs, books, and an endless supply of games for entertainment. They also have a book of sights to see and things to do in the area and James is extremely knowledgeable as well. We felt very much at home.

We LOVED this B&B! My wife and I just spent the weekend here, and we have found our new favorite B&B. James and Thomas are delightful and so nice. We stayed in the Star Room. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the jacuzzi tub was relaxing. Our room faced the front so there was street noise, but there were ear plugs readily available. The breakfasts, cookies, and pastries were delicious. As someone with lactose intolerance, I could eat all the food with no worries. They even got lactaid ice cream so I had it for one of the desserts. The fruit desserts had interesting combinations we had never heard of but again were so good. They had a large collection of board games that we enjoyed playing and enough space in the communal areas to spread out. We are so glad we found this place and can't wait to come back again!

Amazing food, friendly helpful owners, private and shared spaces. Close to attractions and local businesses, while still being close to beautiful farmlands. Thomas and James have so many thoughtful touches to accommodate everyone's needs, areas to eat takeout, a cabinet of movies and shelves of games.

The Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast exceeded our expectations. It's conveniently located right in the heart of all the popular attractions. Our friendly innkeepers, Thomas and James went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one. Their gracious hospitality was like no other bed and breakfasts we've been to in the Lancaster area. There were freshly baked cookies waiting for us when you first walked in, which was a nice added touch.

They were very accommodating to our needs by arranging a gift basket in our room for my husband and providing a goodie bag that we could take when we left.
After reading the many positive reviews, we were looking forward to the delicious breakfasts that we read about. And they did not disappoint. Every morning we were served freshly baked scones, juice and hot coffee. The entrees were different than what we ever had before and were all delicious.

We will definitely return again and would highly recommend the Country Hearth Bed and Breakfast for anyone visiting the Lancaster area.

We had a great time staying at Country Hearth. Breakfast was delicious (we were treated to a variety of muffins and scones as well as eggs florentine), the owners are super warm and welcoming, and there's an amazing board game collection if you're hanging around during the evening (or day, for that matter). Our room was very clean, large, and comfortable, although next time we'll probably choose a room that doesn't face the road.

We have been here before under previous owners. New owners absolutely met our high expectations. They personalized the care as they learned about us. Cozy welcoming environment. Offered subtle accommodations that made a big difference such as having dishes available in the dining area if we got take out and brought it back. Already making plans to go back!!!! Convenient to many sightseeing opportunities while not being in the hub of commercialism. We loved that they work with and promote the local businesses.

The hospitality was exceptional - convivial, friendly, informative chats with our host. The bedroom was beautiful and comfortable, and had great access to outlets for device charging, and a very secure door lock. Despite the Rt 23 traffic the rooms were quiet. The common spaces were beautiful and comfortable, with extra amenities like home-baked cookies, cold and hot drinks, lots of games, a shared refrigerator/ freezer with extra freeze packs available. Breakfast was homemade and delicious including local coffee, baked blueberry muffins, fresh tomatoes with a tasty dressing, baked fruit crisp. The location is perfect for visiting the area. We will definitely stay here again.

This bed and breakfast will be my new place to stay when visiting family that live in the area. We had four couples staying, all family, one couple in each of the four rooms.

The location is perfect, in New Holland Pennsylvania on the main road and close to Garden Spot Village where we had family.

The jacuzzi tubs in the room were perfect after running the GSV marathon.

Food was fantastic. Both breakfast and afternoon cookies!!!

Can't say enough about the hosts, Thomas and James! They make this place amazing.
