We visited 4 campgrounds this summer and this was our #1 stay. It was very kid friendly offering a clean pool (2), small mini golf, paddle boat’s, fishing pond, playground, large common area, paved roads for biking, and a few funny goats. The thing that struck me was how clean and maintained this campsite was. Our lot had a separate little step down with a fire pit which I really enjoyed. Lots to do within 1 hour of all directions. This was definitely a place we will come back to.

3 years ago I would say this was the nicest, most friendly campground. Like everything else, things have changed. My family has been coming here for 30 years. Permanent sites, park model rentals and site rentals. We always camp with my siblings and parents. We found out this year that our site (brother/sister site) we always camp in is being converted to cabins. So extremely disappointed. They moved us to the other side of the campground away from my sister and her family and my parents and can not accommodate us to be closer. Why change this to cabins if its being rented at a brother/ sister site every weekend? They may lose a lot a customers over this.

We just got back after spending 4 nights/5 days here. We stayed in The Dog House and Friendship Home (they were booked up and the only way I could stay longer was to move to a different rental;2 nights at each). The staff was always friendly and everyone says hi as you pass them by. Great pool for the kids and adults to enjoy! Lake was fun on the paddle boats, paved roads made it easy to ride bikes everywhere. Neat themed rentals too! They were very accommodating for pets in the pet friendly rentals and even have a dog run!! First time stay and we were impressed. The rentals were clean and updated for the most part and when we had to call maintenance to fix a screen door lock they were there in less than 10 mins to fix it. Impressed! -Make sure you rent a golf cart and do it ahead of time! (we didn’t, and couldn’t get one until the last 24 hrs of our stay but it was my fault and we were just happy to grab one at all) -Seems less crowded during the week, of course -Beds were comfortable; not too soft and not too firm -You will be woken up by the Quarry right next door. It’s not terribly loud but it will certainly wake you up haha the kids and dog stayed asleep through it luckily -Bummer the arcade and cafe and swim up bar were closed during our stay. Can’t wait to book our next stay!!!!

I've been working from home for months and really needed a change of scenery that felt safe. I rented a park model RV with my boyfriend and adult son. It was all that I hoped for. The site was private and very well shaded (not right on top of other RV's) and had ample outdoor seating overlooking the small lake. We enjoyed sitting around our campfire watching the fireflies at night. The RV was well appointed with air conditioning and 2 TV's. The shower is difficult if you are tall (as in most RV's), but the hot water was plentiful. Yes, you can hear the quarry down the road all day long. This is a very nice campground so the noise was not enough to ruin anything, but it was disappointing to hear it when I would have preferred to hear only the croaking bullfrogs when I sat on the deck with my morning coffee. Additionally, I wish that I had better guidance regarding packing. The website says to bring your own pots and pans. I've never had to do this at any other rental. I packed a bag of pots and pans, but found the RV had pots and pans. What the RV did not have was a strainer , cutting board or knife. So I wasted space bringing things that I did not need and went to dollar tree to pick up things I did need. (Which I left behind for future renters). Also there were no hangers. I like to hang my clothing, but made do without. I don't want to end with the list of negatives. This really is the loveliest campground I have stayed at. Paved roads, tree lined sites, and adjacent to state park land via a connecting trail. We did not use the pool or public amenities which were open as we preferred to be extra cautious during the pandemic.

I rented the yurt for a mid-week rental for a quick getaway with my husband and 2 children. The yurt is unique and definitely something different to try, and had enough amenities for this city girl who enjoys comfort. The yurt rental came with a pedal boat, and we enjoyed boating on the small lake and fishing. We also rented a golf cart (not included in the room rental) to tour the campground and discovered a number of cute, unique rentals (a tipi, a caboose, and a tree house). My main complaint about the yurt is that it was HOT with zero shade, however there were many campsites that were shaded so we may try one of those in the future. The yurt was also overrun by ants—it had trashcans without lids and a good stainless trash can with a tight-fitting lid probably really would have helped. We also saw some baby snakes under the yurt although I guess this is to be expected when camping! Because it was so hot, we spent a fair amount of time at the pool which was clean and very nice! We were disappointed that the swim up bar was closed however! The campground is in a really good location a short drive from Philadelphia, so we’ll be back, but will probably try one of the more shaded rentals next time!
