Mount Airy Casino Resort Spa is acclaimed for its stunning location and the cleanliness of its accommodations, with visitors frequently commending the well-maintained rooms and the professional demeanor of the staff. However, some guests have expressed disappointment regarding the lack of space in fridges for personal items and the absence of microwaves, which, along with steep minibar charges and additional fees, contribute to the perception of poor value for money. Moreover, while the atmosphere is typically praised, the pool area's loud music has been a point of contention for those expecting a more tranquil environment.

We booked this hotel for two rooms and two nights for a family getaway and then read the reviews that they were not kid friendly. Went ahead anyway and we are so happy that we did. Yes kids need an escort to and from the restaurants (which by the way were not great and I recommend you eat elsewhere), but that was no big deal and everyone from the front desk check-in to the bell hop was extremely courteous, friendly and accommodating. Yes there is smoking allowed in the casino but the hallways and room floors were completely smoke free. We also reserved a poolside couch with a VIP package and was amazing. We all felt like celebrities with bottle service and food included. Pool water is not hot but not cold either and still we couldn't get the kids out of the water for hours. Also pool is very kid friendly. Gaming machines paid out okay as four of us played for hours over two nights and most of us broke even. Rooms are modern and upscale and we are already planning another trip to MAL.

We’ve been coming to Mount Airy Lodge & Casino for years. We love the hotel and really enjoy staying in the suites. The front desk staff desperately needs training. We were never informed that the guest directory/ room service menu is on the television now. We searched the room for a breakfast menu and when we couldn’t find it, looked for the non- existent phone directory. Apparently, this is all part of their COVID mitigation plan which appears to be very good. The tv remotes and even the hairdryer are in sealed plastic bags albeit the bag containing the hair dryer was gross and clearly had been reused.

This lack of communication really caught us off guard after we came back from a full day of sightseeing. We came back with just enough time to make our dinner reservations to find our room the same way we left it/ unmade bed, dirty towels and not cleaned. We called housekeeping and they asked us if we had “requested our room to be cleaned.” Apparently, due to COVID guests must request housekeeping services. We should have been told this at check-in. This also could have been communicated thru a simple card or note in the guest room which also wasn’t provided.

Our room was promptly cleaned as soon as it was requested.

I agree with the others, the rooms (especially the suites) need a refrigerator. We usually bring a cooler bag with ice but being on restricted diets we like to travel with yogurts and dietary supplements that require refrigeration.

A fridge can be rented for an additional fee but when the room has a kitchen sink and coffee maker, the fridge just seems like an amenity that should be included.

All in all, the trip was a great getaway and we felt safe. The valet parking service was amazing, putting plastic over the seats and using gloves.

Mask wearing is enforced and hand sanitizer and wipes are everywhere.

Because of COVID, there is no smoking, even in the casino. Please maintain this policy after the pandemic- it’s healthier for guests and staff.

This review is for the resort, not the casino, which I will review separately. We stayed here for a romantic getaway to celebrate our recent nuptials. Our stay was for 2 nights and my husband did get a celebratory package for our stay which included champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and other snacks. We also stayed in a beautiful suite on the 3rd floor.

Based on the other reviews about being ridiculously charged for moving things around in the mini-bar area and fridge, we made sure to ask about this and it was confirmed that if we moved anything, since the items are on a sensor, we would be charged, but that if we wanted our own refrigerator we could have one for a charge of $26.50 per day??? Huh, when you already charge a daily resort fee of $26.50? So needless to say, we didn't opt for that. I really do thing the resort does a disservice here. Why put a refrigerator in the room at all if you won't let your customers use it for other food they might buy while on or off the property, especially if you're going to charge a daily resort fee.

Anyway, our suite was lovely with a separate living room area, the bathroom was huge with double sinks, a sunken tub, huge shower with the multi-jet heads, and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint with the room was with all they seemed to do to make it as nice as it was, they definitely should have larger tvs in the living room and bedroom. That made no sense at all to me for such a spacious suite and why have all this dead wall space? TVs are not that expensive so upgrading the tvs to a larger size would really make a difference.

Everything was clean and appeared to be covid-safe, we appreciated the restaurant choices (I will do separate reviews for those as well), and the fact that valet parking was included (as it should have been) as part of the $26.50 daily resort fee. The Tannersville outlet is also very close by so I would stay here again for sure when looking for a nice place to stay for a change of scenery.

We stayed at Mt. Airy Casino Resort at the end of January last year for our anniversary and had absolutely the best time. This year year however we decided to upgrade to a king suite for our anniversary this year. The value was simply not there and the service has gone down. When we first arrived the valet and bell hop were both amazing and friendly (they were the only thing that made the stay enjoyable) It went downhill quickly after that. The woman that checked us in was not very pleasant and did not take her time to explain anything about the resort as was done last year or ask us if we had any questions. After being rushed through the check in process (we were the only ones checking in at the time) we got up to the room and discovered the drain in the bathtub was broken and they had to send a couple people from maintenance up to fix it. They were friendly but having two additional people in your room during this time was not enjoyable. They eventually got the tub fixed. We then found out the ice machine on our floor was broken (awesome since we were at the very end of the hall) Throughout the entirety of our stay the machine stayed broken. The lady at the front desk said we could go to another wing or floor to get ice (Not for the money we paid for the room) The room service quality has drastically declined since last year and the value isn't there anymore. The morning after we arrived someone knocked on our door and wanted to come into the room to spray for something even though we had the do not disturb sign on our door. We saw this person knock on several doors in the hallway all with the do not disturb signs on them. Overall this was a disappointing trip and we likely wont be returning.

We booked a 2 night stay to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We made the reservation online in January for a stay in March. My husband is in a motorized wheelchair. We booked the king handicap suite. After booking online he made a phone call directly to the hotel to confirm the handicap access. They assured us that they were able to accommodate our needs. One week prior to our trip we again called to confirm the need for handicap access and again assured us that we had nothing to worry about. On arrival we were told that our room was given away the night before. They stated that they do not guarantee rooms and it is first come first serve. With no options we decided to try and make it work in a non handicap room. We enjoyed a meal at Guy's, gambled and slept. The next morning it was clear that showering was not possible without a shower seat. We decided that we should leave early. Upon checking out we were told that we would have to pay a late fee for checking out late, which I agree with. Two days later we saw a number of charges on the credit card. We called to question what the charges were, why were we being charged for nights we were not even there, and why was it significantly higher than the online quote when we booked. They stated that a manager would have to call back because the front desk can't see the online booking price. Two days after this we received a phone call from a manager. She stated that she could offer us $250 refund. Even with the refund we paid $803.62 for one night with a late checkout, when the online booking for 2 nights was $781.12. Overall this experience was very depressing and embarrassing. It feels like we were punished for being handicap. Not sure how you can claim to be an ADA hotel if you can't guarantee a handicap reservation.

We spent the weekend at Mount Airy Casino, from the Valet service, check in to checkout every thing runs smoothly. We appreciate the Clean Team, always wiping down the slot machines, chairs and everything else they can reach. Rooms are sanitized before you enter and no one but you will enter till you leave, if you need anything for your room all you have to do is call and they will bring it to you, Everyone has a mask on, plenty of wipes available if you choose to wipe down your machine yourself. Pool was great, something special about swimming inside when it is only 30's outside. I would recommend Mount Airy Casino for anyone looking for a get away weekend.

All was well but please try not to touch or pick up any snacks on the counter or bottles in the mini bar or you will be charged just for picking up. Also call front desk right away if there is anythhing missing in the room.

The front desk was kind enough to remove the charges even though terms and conditions said it was non - refundable .

Double check your hotel bill before checking out and get a hard copy .

Aside from the above the rooms are nice and comfrontable

We just stayed here with another couple. I was very impressed with the casino and hotel itself - it was extremely clean and updated. The rooms were very nice and the beds were comfortable. They were able to check us in early which we were happy with. However, I was really disappointed with the mini bar in the room. We were told by the front desk that the mini bar in the room is on a weight sensor, so if it’s touched or knocked over you will be charged. The prices were insane for this nonsense that was just taking up space. They advertise that there are mini refrigerators in the room like most other hotels. We went for dinner and brought home leftovers and went to put them in the fridge until we realized that it was full from the beverages that they were trying to sell. I called the front desk to have them removed and they told me that they cannot and we can rent a fridge for $25. I think that is absolutely ridiculous!!! I highly doubt that anyone buys $12 mini bottles of liquor, so they really should remove those and let people actually have fridge space. Other than that the rest of the experience was great.

Stayed for a get away weekend in early February. Nice room, king bed and a well thought out bathroom. No real view from our window, empty parking lot.The in room refrigerator is "locked and stocked" with over priced drinks, don't touch anything you don't want to pay extra for we were warned at the front desk..So don't mess with anything or even pick it up,you will be charged. We bring our own drinks and snacks so a locked refrigerator is not something I was pleased with. The casino is average, same games nothing special. I get you want the right to smoke inside, but that's all you smell, stale cigarette smoke in the gaming area Makes it hard to stay long. We had dinner at the buffet, bland mussy fare, not worth the $20 a person. Went to Guy Fieri's Pocono kitchen, I was expecting more,it was ok but a bit pricey for what you get. I know it's a casino, but come on I want to at least eat well when I'am there. The high point of the stay was the service, excellent bell hop, valet, housekeeping. Hard to say if that level of service would continue on busy weekend. So all in all it was ok,would we return,no we would look for another place.

Stayed at this resort for 6 days in August 2020. They went to great lengths to keep everyone Covid-19 safe. We witnessed the spraying of all the machines, disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer stations are all over the casino floor. Our room was spotless. The remote was encased in plastic. There was no house keeping services once you are checked in however you can call for extra towels or swap your towels by placing them outside of your room. There was no bar service at the Casino, no alcohol. You can get water and coffee. There is a Starbucks in the hotel however their cervices was super slow and they were not knowledgeable in their offerings. many slots were turned off to help maintain social distancing. Staff wore gloves and masks. We did not eat at their restaurants so I am unable to comment. Normally Mountairy Hotel is on the expensive side but we took advantage of their lower rates during Covid. We will return. Definitely have no complaints. Except that the slots were not paying at all, not even a little so you can get in some game time. Terrible. LOL

I'd call to get an answer. It may be something as simple as two chairs in the room or a sofa. I've never had anything other than an excellent fully equipped room when staying at Mt. Airy and I've stayed in both rooms with a king bed and rooms with two queen beds.
