My husband and I stayed at this campground this past week . Top notch place . Beautiful campground. Loved all the spectacular views , the ponds that my husband loved fishing in and trails for our dog Beau to walk on . Every staff member we was friendly and very helpful especially Ranger Dan ! Great guy ! Thank you ! We will be back with the grandkids !
I've been rv camping here for several years in a row with a small group of friends. We have always used the same sites and always pay in full for the next year's reservation before our stay ends. We all had to pay an additional $10 to keep our group together in 2021 plus pay any rate increase added after Jan 1st. Even though we paid in full the previous year. To make it worse I wanted to add a night and was charged the new rate (ok) but then was charged $25 addition for site guarantee! The extra night cost over $90. What crap. The site guarantee should called what it is. Bend over and take it fee!! The only off season rates are when the place is basically shut down over winter. Gave 2 stars only because its a nice property. If they feel its necessary to rape you, I'll spend my money elsewhere...…
My family booked 5 camp sites a month in advance and booked 2 golf carts. One booked on the 13th the second on the 14th of July. The first cart booked was cancelled with no explanation just an email. When we called they said it was bc we were assigned a cart number and that cart went from running to inoperable. Their system picks the assigned carts and instead of bumping a cart purchased after they told us it was too bad they can’t change the system. Instead of trying to help ,the assistant to the manager, argued with me like I was the one in the wrong. At the campground there is a staff member that tries to enforce rules, but he’s not consistent and he is rude. We had the misfortune of having several interactions with him. He made up for his inconsistent rule enforcing by being consistently snide and off putting It’s really a shame that a of couple poor staff members who don’t seem to value the customer can make the overall experience so poor.…
They are now charging you $9.00 a day per person plus you are paying your camping that has gone up since last year and to reserve you are being charged $10.00 to secure your site with no refund.. to cancel within 6 months they are charging you $20.00 to cancel.. a family of 5 will have to pay $45.00 per day rather you use their facilities or not plus camping.. Yogi Bears was one of the best camping place.. a family campground and now with the new owners who are ruining the place.. Please consider a different Yogis campground....you will be so disappointed with the amount you are paying for so little of facilities they have and to get to the campground the road is very narrow and pot holes ..
My family had camped for many years at Yogi. This won’t be the case after this season. Poorly managed and wasn’t the same with the new managers. The activities director this year was great but other than that, it isn’t the same as it used to be.
Although the park is clean, there is absolutely NO social distancing being practiced. When I asked at check in what precautions were being taken, I was sold "Governor Wolf requires masks". No the answer I was looking for. Employees not wearing masks and if you look at their facebook page, you will see basically no one is wearing them. The staff has always been so nice. This year was just a different vibe. The staff was not nearly as pleasant. We have been coming to this campground for years, but it really changed this year, for the worse. We have 5 kids, ages 7 months -8 years, and were told that only 6 people are permitted at a campsite! The baby counted as a "person". Thank goodness the grandparents were camping also so we could put one child with them. We even offered to pay extra for the baby and were told NO. We will definitely be finding another campground.…
Their best asset is the people. Everyone was friendly. The park was very clean people were always working to keep it nice. The water park although small was new and there is an additional charge of $10 for admission. We were told not to drink in the water park area. I mean just water. The kids are running around and i'm sitting in the 85 degree heat not allowed to drink water doesn't make sense. The park camping is nice. We had an RV site. We seemed to be in the sun all the time and ended up eating in the RV for the shade. Our site was very uneven on one side with depressions and was a real walking hazard. The only other problem was the sewer drain connection was higher than the RV sewer drain. Hose had to be lifted to drain, an unpleasant task.
My girlfriend booked this trip a few weeks ago. Up til now I had never heard of this place. The park, the pools and the waterpark were very clean. We rented an 8 person cabin for 3 days 2 nights. The cabin was clean but very small. We didn't spend alot of time there so it didn't suck too bad. The second night the air conditioning went out and we couldn't get it fixed until 6 the next morning. That was the only issue I had that was resolved with maintenance. If you rent a cabin, ask how to work the ac units because they work in tandem. There is not alot of stuff for older kids to be constantly entertained, but the fishing, pools, and other activities are great for 14 and younger perfectly. I would recommend it to anybody.
We ended up coming here on a whim. The place we booked over booked. I called yogi bear and we got in. There are so many things to do here! Playgrounds, a pool, and tons of fun activities! Thank you Yogi! Casey
Watch out for this place. I booked a future date and had to cancel the next day for medical reasons. Even thought it was within 24 hours they hit me with a $20 cancellation fee. Very disappointing policy.
