My partner and I wanted to plan a nice romantic getaway, and this was absolutely perfect for it. The hotel was luxurious (especially the bathrooms), and the quality of service was superb even in light of COVID-19 restrictions. We ate at Delmonico's on the Porch, which was quiet enjoyable.

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I stayed for two nights over the 2020 Labor Day weekend. We had never visited the Pocono region of Pennsylvania, so we decided to give Milford a try after reading of its charm and nearby outdoor activities in the Delaware Gap National Recreation Area. The Hotel Fauchère was the highlight of our stay. A comfortable, well appointed room and attentive hotel staff. Fine dining on the veranda capped it off. So good, we almost wanted to keep it our secret. However given the difficulties that we all have experienced this year, it is more important to share some pleasant news. See you next time!

This place used to be something in the old days. We rented one of the most expensive rooms and the shower was spluttering water everywhere; we couldn't get water to run from the shower except the splutter. The room was very small and the rugs very dirty and old. The bedding was OK but the bed was small and wobbly. The hotel is very outdated with old withered rugs everywhere. The restaurant is closed most days and hours of the days and its hard to find service anywhere in town. The waiters at the Bar Louis and delmonico are spaced out and didnt even get our orders until we asked several times. The food seem microwaved and frozen/reheated. Also very noisy because the road is the main road through town and very rowdy motorcycles and converted cars pass by. Not a place to relax or have any kind of pampering experience, which we thought we were going to get. Will never stay there again.

I don't typically write reviews, but my family had a very poor experience at this hotel, and I want to share my feedback in hopes the hotel improves in the future. The hotel itself is beautiful, centrally-located, and has a lot of old world charm. While the hotel is advertised as a Relais & Châteaux property, the customer service that we experienced did not live up to that standard. My wife and I stayed at the hotel for 2 days in mid-October 2020. Despite informing the hotel that we would be coming with our dog, the hotel did not put out any dog bowls or dog snacks. This is not a major issue, but they offered to do this when we booked the reservation, so it was disappointing to see that this was not done. I think the most egregious example of poor customer service occurred at check-out. Due to a family situation, we were forced to leave after the first day at the hotel. The hotel informed us that they would still have to charge us for the second night, which was understandable and we agreed. What was unreasonable is what happened next. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we received a visit to our room from the manager, Julie. She told us that since we will be leaving a day early, they wanted us to leave before housekeeping left for the day so they could clean the room and try to resell it. These were the words that were used. I protested saying that we are already paying for the second night and it seems unreasonable for them to ask us to leave by a certain time. Julie insisted that they had an opportunity to sell the room again and needed us to leave before housekeeping left at 3:30pm. Not only was the delivery unapologetic, it was simply rude. Shortly thereafter we checked out. The interaction with Julie during the check out process was disappointing to say the least. I hope the hotel can learn from this experience and improve their customer service.

My husband and traveled to Milford PA to have a nice getaway for our wedding Anniversary. We wanted to stay at a place that was pet friendly, felt Covid-19 safe and where we could enjoy the autumn leaves. We had a great stay, the only downside was noise on Saturday night from outside a local bar across the street. The other nights during our stay the bar was quiet. We stayed in room #1 on the ground floor. The room is on the smaller side, but comfortable. Every once in a while we could hear noise from the room above, but wasn't that big if deal. It's difficult to travel during a global pandemic, but we felt safe our entire stay. All staff members wore mask as well as other guest, who were good about wearing mask in the public areas. We brought our 12 years old dog (Labrador Retriever) with us and she was given star treatment. There was a water dish already in our room, she received a bone at check-in and she received lots of attention from the staff throughout our stay. The continental breakfast was nice, we were able to eat outside on the front porch, which had heaters. All tables were spaced far apart, so again we felt safe. The second day of our stay, the hotel owner introduced himself to us and gave us lots of great tips on places to check out during our stay, very appreciated. On our Anniversary, we order dinner for pickup at a nearby restaurant and ate in our room. Later that evening we had drinks and a dessert on the front porch under a heaters. We received fantastic service. We also brought our dog out with us and she was offered a bowl of water. We haven't been out for drinks since the start of the pandemic and felt safe outside at the hotel bar. It's been a strange year, but we had a great trip and look forward to returning some day in the future.
