Our team did a team-building exercise for 25 people in July at the Tom Quick Inn (TQI) and we were exposed to several aspects of the services Steve and his team provide, and everything could not have been more perfect: - we used their office spaces for our leadership team meeting - we stayed at the TQI- the rooms and meeting spaces were warm, renovated, and inviting - The food and drinks for our stay were all fantastic. The staff were all friendly, and helpful- adapted on the fly, and had a great, friendly demeanor - The TQI team carefully planning and executing each activity- ensuring we were engaged all along but also offering flexibility to accommodate the specific needs of our team (eg) dividing the team into 2 groups for hiking...advanced and beginner, and our hikes were modified accordingly Toured nearby attractions, as organized by TQI: - Hiking at a nearby walking path. TQI staff provided us with basic supplies for the hike - Varsity Bar Speakeasy- self contained bar within TQI, offering privacy and great drinks - Jive Bar and Lounge- food was incredible. live band, and great bartenders and drinks! - Milford Theater and Performing Arts Center- grab refreshments, and see a modern PAC, able to fit several hundred people. Just modernized, it was very impressive! - Hotel Fauchere- sister hotel right next to the TQI, where the conference rooms/ business facilities were located I wasn't familiar with the Milford area prior to this trip, but just 45 min from Bergen county, I will definitely be back with family and friends and will definitely stay at the Tom Quick Inn, and use their services. Fantastic job all around! Thanks!

A cute inn with friendly staff. Our room was a double at the top of the stairs (room 9). The beds were comfortable, the room and bathroom very clean. My complaint which couldn't be addressed by any staff while we were there...because no one is available at night, was the tub. We asked if the room had a tub...I guess we should have asked if it worked. Like most other places we have stayed in the past year...the tub would not hold water. I guess I just don't understand why things can't work. We paid $250 for a room that didn't provide what it stated it had. Telling me in the morning you are sorry for the inconvenience really doesn't make up for the the lack of service I was expecting. I guess we really should be more thorough on checking a room out before we rent. Unfortunately it seems to be a product of the times.

It was just a one night stop after a conference, and Medford is conveniently located between where I was and where I was headed. The Inn was charming. Personel was excellent from check-in through dinner and into the next day. The accommodations were spacious, comfortable for one or two, and had all the amenities one would need. The restaurant was particularly good. I sat out on the porch on a delightful night and had a wonderful meal of scallops. The waitstaff was friendly and accommodating. I was very glad to have stopped in and may well return again.

The Tom Quick Inn has had a checkered history of openings and closings, falling into disrepair and rising from the ashes. At last, it has reopened and as a recent visit revealed, it is a great addition to the restaurant scene in Milford. Whilst the menu offers few surprises (perhaps with the exception of the Lumache Bolognese), charging $7 for a side of mashed potatoes or $6 for French Fries certainly is a trifle unusual. The wine list is manageable (white by the glass varies from $9 to $11.19 and red from $9 to $10), and signature craft cocktails can be had from $11 onwards (Tip: try the Pineapple Trainwreck!). Closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. It is unclear whether lodging can be had as well (some rooms are "under construction) and be prepared to share your bathroom with others (Rooms 14 with 15, 16 with 17 whereas some have their own bathroom. No room prices published as yet. Overall, the restaurant is not super busy which provides the staff with the opportunity to be attentive but not overbearing. The food is well prepared and the courses arrive at acceptable intervals. Expect a bill of say $130 and up for a 3-course meal with a glass of wine for 2 (desserts start at $6 for gelato and a NY style cheesecake piece will set you back $12 - as will a Crème Brulée or a Pot de Crème). The TQ Inn is now owned by the Milford Hospitality Group, a baby of Bill Rosado (who started off with several car dealerships before branching out into the hospitality business. The interior of the restaurant seems a bit subdued (perhaps due to the color scheme?), but tables are spaced out Weill enough so that you don't have to listen to everybody else's dinner conversations. It is a bit reminiscent of an old English eatery (but not as far as prices are concerned) that would benefit from cheering up using some brighter and lighter colors in the right places. Time will tell (especially the winter period) how much the TQ Inn is loved by the locals. Perhaps the manager will keep an eye on occasional menu changes as well to retain both interest and attraction since nothing is more disenchanting (especially after a few visits) to be able to dispense with asking for the menu because you already know what's on it. The famous "daily specials" are no substitute for an occasional drastic menu review and change!

After years of being closed the TQ reopened. My wife and I met other family for dinner. The atmosphere was quiet and reminded me of how the restaurant use to be, but with a face lift. The food was good but nothing memorable. The staff was very attentive which was great. Overall we had a good time and would return.

The restaurant area of the Tom Quick Inn has only been open for a week now, and they did a beautiful job of renovating it. Have missed it all these past years dearly! The setting is very romantic with a huge tropical fish tank which is relaxing to watch, lovely white tablecloths and settings, etc.. You might want to bring a flashlight, though! We had to use one on our phone to read the menu. The staff was delightfully friendly and the food very good, but the prices are a bit steep on some items, unfortunately. The Lumache Bolognese pasta dish was very flavorful (ground beef and ground pork pieces with a red sauce), but $20 seemed high for just an average amount of pasta with no salad or accompaniment. The grilled heritage pork chop entree was delicious, perfectly tender, and very thick (like a double chop) and came with some braised red cabbage and small wedges of green apple, but at $26 that also seemed a bit high since it did not come with a salad or anything else. The house salad at $8 was a pretty mixture of three types and colors of greens with a vinaigrette- type of dressing, but it did not have cucumbers, tomatoes, or any other additions, so that price also seemed high. We were disappointed that no bread or grated cheese for the pasta was offered. They probably have some if you request it, so be sure to ask. If you're looking for a very special place to celebrate an anniversary or such, this would be one to highly consider. It's right in the adorable borough of Milford near some cute shops.

I was a long term guest and truly felt at home here. Laura went out of her way to make me feel safe and comfortable from day one. She was respectful, kind, accommodating, and always quick to respond any time I needed her. You can’t beat the location either- right in the heart of beautiful Milford, surrounded by shops, cafes, restaurants, and hiking trails. Highly recommend staying at the Tom Quick Inn!
