Just returned home from a most delightful weekend at Alpenhof B&B. Roland and Anh leave no stone unturned in providing everything you need for a carefree and relaxing getaway. Their B&B is comfortable while still being gorgeous; private while still being cozy. Leave your concerns at home and do not hesitate to spend time here. We just cannot wait to return. We could only imagine the beauty of the location in each season. The location, the food and the amenities deserve more than 5 stars.
Stayed with my husband for a night away. Beautifully designed home with unique well-decorated rooms. Quiet, very clean. Owner has great attention to detail. Delicious made to order breakfast with great coffee. Would stay again.
What an amazing experience! The property is beautiful. It is uniquely charismatic. The owners are delightfully creative. You will never find another place like this! BONUS: They have dogs! They are friendly and loving. Highly recommend this place and we will be back
I was ecstatic for this trip, and with such high expectations, I was still blown away by this entire experience from start to end. Roland has been running this B&B for 20+ years and you can tell he gives his whole heart in everything: the gardening, cleaning, interior design, woodworking, breakfasts, care for his guests, and every single detail of the stay. Although this place is normally known for guests becoming friends, during COVID, I found this place to give me the right amount of isolation. I never had to interact with anyone else except that I saw people at the pool while I was on my deck. Roland was always wearing a N95 mask, and guests wore masks when traversing the property. He answered 20 minutes of questions relating to COVID protocol before I booked and he very clearly made sure this trip did not increase the risk of spreading COVID among guests or the local community. The property is so peaceful (you can hear bugs chirping at night) and the beds are incredibly soft and comfy, I haven't had such a good night sleep in so long. For fear that this review may be superfluous I will end here, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to have a better stay than what we experienced. If you're on the fence about booking, let this review convince you to pay now before someone else does!…
I visited Alpenhof with friends and had the most incredible stay. Roland takes care of every detail, from the fresh baked muffins at breakfast to thoroughly cleaning rooms between guests and wearing a mask when interacting with others. We spent lots of time at the pool and loved the Grand Master Suite (perfect for a group of three). The breakfast is incredibly and for now, it's served separately to each group for safety. The property is historic and such a treat to explore. It's located a short drive from downtown Media, which has cute restaurants and only 30 minutes from Philly. I'd love to return, it was the most restful weekend!
