I have been visiting this B&B since it opened in 2008.
The Bridgeview is a comfortable B&B.
I was assigned to the Youghiogheny Room on this stay. This room is one of three rooms with exterior access meaning the room entry is from the deck as opposed to the other rooms which are accessed from hallways within the building.
The rooms have private baths, individually controlled A/C units, and wireless Internet.
A TV is located in the Common Room.
Breakfast is included in the room rates and varies from day to day between French toast, pancakes, eggs, etc.
The Bridgeview is located along the shoreline of the Susquehanna River and offers views of Railroad activity on the Rockville Bridge along with scenic views of the river and surrounding area.
There are a number of train watching locations within a short drive of the B&B as well.
All in all, I enjoy my stays at The Bridgeview and will return again.

Visited the Bridgeview for a few night stay in early April.
I have stayed here a number of times since the Bridgeview opened in 2008.
Keith and Amanda are gracious hosts and the breakfasts are tasty, varying from day to day from pancakes, french toast, eggs and English muffins, cereal, etc.
The B&B is comfortable with private rooms with their own individual baths.
The views of the Susquehanna River and Rockville Bridge from the rear deck are superb.
Plenty of trains pass the Bridgeview on a daily basis so one can choose to sit back and relax and watch the trains go by, or there are a number of train watching spots within a short drive of the B&B.
All in all, this was another enjoyable stay and I am looking forward to my next visit.

Stayed here since we were going to take Amtrak the next morning to Philadelphia and onto Florida. Was able to leave our vehicle here for the length of our trip which avoided the excessive high parking fees in the Harrisburg Parking Garage. Stayed again on our return tp rest up before driving back north. Well worth the stay and the peace of mind of comfort.

Nature lovers and ferroequinologists come together at this location. Even with the trains , you really do get a good nights sleep and a great breakfast in the morning. The birds are amazing too. From nesting bald eagles, finches, bluebirds, orioles, hummingbirds, river fowl including a hood merganser. If the weather is not so great, there is a fantastic viewing room. But the best is to sit out on the sprawling deck and read a book, watch the parade of trains, and the birds. This is here for all seasons and we have stayed during all seasons. Book early during the "season".

We recently stayed for our second time. It is perfect for railfans with a fantastic view of all the trains on Rockville Bridge. However, it is more than a place to watch trains. Beautiful scenery, relaxing and peaceful atmosphere, good conversations and made to feel at home. Will definitely come back.

As a railfan, I was very curious to stay at Bridgeview. And I was not disappointed!! You literally have a front row seat to NS rail operation. And the views of traffic crossing the Rockville Bridge are incredible!
My room had a window facing the river & bridge. The B&B also has an indoor lounge facing the river and two decks (one under the other) that offer the same unobstructed view of the Susquehanna.
Breakfast was delicious - hot, fresh & made to order.
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay (wish it could have been longer!!).

Staying in the wonderful Allegheny Room, the view was spectacular of the Susquehanna and yes freight freight trains (a couple Amtrak) too. The hospitality by Keith was perfect for us. My wife loved taking pictures of all the variety of birds. The breakfasts were delicious. We went to nice places for dinner. His huge viewing deck is just that - huge. When the weather turns sour, the viewing room is the spot with plenty to read and binoculars for all.
We loved the over night trains too. Truly represents America on the move and we are right their to view.

Just spent 3 days at Bridgeview B&B. Always great views of trains on historic Rockville Bridge. Super good breakfasts, clean comfortable room, AC worked well in rooms. Innkeeper Keith also provides direction to events n the area. Lots of sea birds, eagle on the river.

Beautiful setting and a great place. It was very peaceful and so many wonderful spots to sit and watch the birds or the trains. A real must for any rail enthusiast. My family brought fishing rods and caught some nice small mouth bass from shore. The owner Keith was so accommodating and the breakfasts by Diane were wonderful!

I want to first say that this was the best bed and breakfast I've been to. I've also been to some fancy hotels, and I'd rather come back here than return to some of them!
1. I think that every "train nut" as myself should make it a priority to stay here at least ONCE. The place is located in the southwest corner of a giant 'H' of train lines, with the immaculate Rockville Bridge being the middle of this 'H' (A larger 'H' of train lines is to the south in Harrisburg; train viewing spots are endless). Owner Keith Latimer knows his stuff. A viewing room with a schematics board showing area train movements, wide windows, cozy chairs and recliners, binoculars, and a plethora of train magazines...what more could a railfan want??? Trains pass to and fro sometimes at an average of a train every 10-15 minutes, all day and night.
2. You don't have to be a train watcher to appreciate the unmatched views of the Susquehanna River and surrounding mountains; despite the railroad action, this B&B is nestled in a quiet spot with a wrap-around deck for gorgeous open views and some shady, peaceful spots as well.
3. The breakfast? YUM. Homemade and plentiful. A fridge and microwave in a lovely kitchen is available for guests. Local homemade jams and jellies (and Dutch apple butter) can be enjoyed with breakfast. Loved it all.
4. The location cannot be beat. Interstate 81 is a little over a mile south. US 11/15 is directly west. Downtown Harrisburg can be reached in 15 minutes. Numerous destinations such as Hershey, Lancaster, and Gettysburg can all be reached in roughly an hour, give or take. By the way, a trip to Strasburg Railroad (45 mins southwest) is a MUST for railfans.
5. Last but not least, this place feels more like a homey family visit. A place to unwind. A place to appreciate the simplest things. Rooms do not have TV's in them; this place is designed to have as few distractions as possible. It's made for camaraderie, quiet time, romance, and strangers becoming friends. Keith has done a marvelous job. The rooms and entire place is spotless and well-maintained with a great staff as well.
One of my favorite places EVER.
