I have been bringing my family to Bucktail for the past four years, at least three times each Summer. There is always something to keep the kids entertained. From the themed activites, to the rides, the swimming pool, mini-golf and the largest sandbox you will ever see. Yes, there are unsupervised children running around the campground. My children are not... More

I get to the campground & the camper beside me is using the electric to my paid site. I ask him to use his hookup and he said No. Called management over and over and they did nothing about it. The camper was drinking in the playground the entire weekend and had several visitors in his site doing the same.... More

A storm downed a power line causing a power outage for a full day of our trip. Completely understand that as campers weather and mother nature are out of our control however, we played for a service that was not delivered. They placed a large generator next to our site making it impossible for us to lay our children down... More

I had been a seasonal camper at Bucktail for 7 years. I went with my family every weekend starting in April going all the way to October. Some things in the previous reviews are a little extreme. Yes, there will be some drunks, but there is quiet time at 11:00 and they are very strict about it so the person... More

We camp often and have been to Bucktail each year for the last several years with our children. We decided in 2014 that it would be our last year going to Bucktail as there is no improvement to the entire facility and even the upkeep seems minimal. There are activities for the kids, but many don't work (arcade, baseball pitching... More

I really enjoy this park, I agree with the later reviewers as before my time it may have been run down however as of this year, the pool was very modern, the pool house bathrooms were brand new, the tower slide was brand new construction in 2013, the rest of the rides with the exception of a few small playground... We spent the weekend in one of the woodsman's huts - was good except for the futon mattress was pretty well worn out - very uncomfortable - there is alot for kids to do - playground, train ride, merry go round, arcade - but some of the games do not work correctly -only problem i really had was that there... We have been camping here for the past few years, and the kids absolutely love it. Every weekend has a theme (see their website) and our kids are at the right age to fully enjoy the events. All winter long, it is all that they talk about. "When are we going to Bucktail?!" Sure, it's not a fancy place. The... More

We stayed over Labor Day weekend & it was awful. The people across from us were loud obnoxious drunks (as were a majority of other campers). I went to the office after my 2nd sleepless night to complain about them & the staff assured me they would talk to them (obviously not because the 3rd night was the worst). People... More

We've been going for the Halloween festivities for years and years. Overall fun for the kids, but it has gone downhill!. For $66/night, you would think they would put some money back into the campground to fix things- like the zip line which is duct taped with a big steel rod sticking out that could easily poke someones eye out;...
