Bear Creek hosted our daughter and son in laws wedding summer 2022. They knocked it out of the park, in my view. Many friends and family stayed over and they couldn’t have been more hospitable to everyone. The Bear Creek team took care of everything, thanks again.
We enjoyed our stay on this property. The grounds were well kept, and there were plenty of activities to be had. The hotel staff is very nice as well. There was no housekeeping due to covid, which we were fine with - since it felt safer overall. However, a glaring problem was with the dusty and dirty rooms. We were given the initial suite that we booked, but had to switch because the guests staying beside and across from our suite was VERY loud - and they were a party so they kept coming in and out of their rooms (to a point they even just left the doors ajar so they can easily go in and out between the rooms), that it was very bothersome. On both suites, we saw dusty shelves, stained chairs, rust, mildew, splatters etc - which made it look shabby. We actually had to wipe down some of the shelves and counters ourselves because it was just uncomfortable to try and unpack your clean stuff. Room comfort for us is very important (which is why we opted for a suite), and feeling like you're in a dirty room is obviously the opposite of that. On our last day, we woke up smelling cooked breakfast through the air conditioning vents - which was kinda gross since who wants their bedroom smelling like food? Speaking of food, this resort does make good food - I'm from NYC, so I know good food - and it's reasonably priced for a hotel. During the day, you're only option is the Trail End Cafe, and in the evening you have The Grille. Which is disappointing since The Grille had great outdoor seating, so having the option for that nicer dining during lunch time, with the ambiance would have been nice...but by no means greatly affected our stay. We only were there for a long weekend, but I can imagine if it was a longer stay, you can easily run out of options. We did overall enjoy our stay because of the amenities, and therefore will most likely be back. But I do hope they look into giving the rooms a better cleaning, as it needs it. I provided some pictures for reference.…
We decided to hold a family reunion at Bear Creek Mountain Resort & Conference Center and loved our time there. Staff was friendly and helpful. They even took several pictures of all of us when we asked! The room was comfortable, smelled nice and was clean. We had a suite and it was huge! All of us came back to one of the suites to sit around and talk every night. They had just opened the water slide and it looked fun. Some of us went on the ATV ride and enjoyed it. Others spent time in the pool or playing cornhole or ping pong. Dinner was at The Grille and the server dd well. Food was excellent and all our dinners were served warm! We don't ski but it might be nice to come back in the winter and watch the skiers!
We really enjoyed our time at Bear Creek. The actual room was a bit dated but you can’t beat the pool, food and other activities offered. We love going to a place where we don’t have to worry about leaving during our stay. Would love to return during the winter to experience a different set of fun activities. The front desk and Trails End Cafe staff were top notch with friendliness.
The good room was great staff friendly activities fun beautiful resort The bad 2nd night dinner at Cafe service terrible waitress looked at us didnt come over for 20 minutes food took 30 minutes n was wrong we kept it cause dont have another half hour weren't given napkins check was brought never came back to get paid had to find waitress as well as no thank you terrible asked for kcups for coffee maker in room was given 2 we had 3 people 4 pods for 3 people for 3 days not acceptable won't be returning based on the bad shame for such an expensive n beautiful resort expected way better had better at way cheaper places would be 4 stars if not for the bad but it outweighed the good
The room was dirty- mold in the bathroom- amenities canceled at last minute - old and outdated- when I complained at checkout the manager offered a discount on our stay but of course she lied and never applied it - will never return
We were able to book this great room the day after Valentine's Day. Our stay was perfect. Very relaxing. We met friends in the bar for late night drinks after dinner. Great bartender and we can't wait to go back!
I visited the resort for some much needed relaxation and spa time. Check-in was very organized and the staff was wonderful. I needed assistance getting my suitcase out of my car due to weakness from a surgery and Jennifer at the front desk immediately offered to help. On the day I was leaving the resort Jennifer caught me on my way out and had me pull my car up and helped me with my suitcase again. She was amazing and so kind. Great place to go for a little getaway. Room was clean and quiet at night. I will be returning!
I believe I have written a glowing review for BCMR before but I find that I should write a new one years later. Not sure if it is COVID or something else or a combination of things but each year we have become increasingly disappointed--over the last 4 or 5 years. Having said that, I don't think we will stop going as we love it but thought I should share some thoughts. I keep hearing rumors that the place is for sale or going to be under new management, perhaps COVID hit things at BCMR hard and they are skimping where they can. We miss the daily housekeeping (probably COVID). We miss the welcome wine and cheese and cookies for the kids (and big kids) We really miss the delicious lobby coffee. We noticed the downgrade of K-Cups in the rooms. The kids missed the milkshakes at Trail's End--I heard a new machine is coming. We think the food at The Grille has gone downhill a bit (no pun intended)--miss the sushi and the jambalaya. We wish that on busy holiday weeks that was more planned for families and kids--music, a movie. We were thankful for this year's trivia contest and the great trivia host. We hope you can find a way to deal with the sucking sound of the jet returns on the hot tub near the spa (when the big green button is pushed and the jets are on)--it is SO ANNOYING-sorry, but it is. Maybe extra water dumped in to cover the intakes each night? Are the sheets not as soft as they used to be?--maybe I just got a rogue set this year. Either way, staff is great, it is the best value for skiing anywhere as long as you are okay with a poor lift time-to-downhill time ratio. Shout-out to Jayce at the front desk who was accommodating, kind, patient and a consummate professional. Hope some of this is helpful to management and thanks.…
Purchased a gift certificate 12/18/2021. Never arrived in the mail. No one in Guest Services ever answers the phone. The person (not in guest services) that answers the phone just keeps forwarded me to the guest service number and no one answers. If you leave voice messages, no one calls you back. If you email the head of Guest Services (Gary) he doesn't even reply to emails or call you back. I called on 1/2/2022 and left a voice message inquiring where my gift certificate was. I called again at the end of the day on 1/3/2022 and no one from guest services answered the phone. Was told by whomever answers the phone that they are busy and will call me back. I let a week go by and call again on 1/10/2022. I actually get through and Sophia says she can't find my purchase. She tells me I need to email the receipt to their email address. I did that the same day. On 1/13/2022 I get an email from Maria saying she will look into it tomorrow. No response at all on 1/14/2022. At the end of the day on 1/14/2022, I email and leave a voice message for Gary (Head of guest services) and still do not get any reply. It is now the end of the day on 1/15/2022. I guess I'm going to have to drive there to get anywhere with these people. If this was not a Christmas present for my nephews and niece, I'd be getting my money back and never doing business with them again.…
