Overall the resort is very nice and staff is great. Rooms are in need of some updating and as well as some of the outside area. Sit down restaurant is great. Spa was also excellent. Loved the pools and outside hot tubs. Would stay again

1st time at this resort. We had a room on the 2nd floor and although the room was clean, it had a musty smell. We paid a premium to stay (weekend rates, 2 nights almost $900 with the taxes, etc.) and it was a little disappointing. The resort itself, lobby and eating areas are nice and clean. The food choices were somewhat limited, it's cafeteria-style, bar-food mostly; no fine dining that I could find. We took a private ski lesson for 3 (shout out to Aiden & Matt who were AWESOME and SUPER FRIENDLY & ACCOMODATING) but we were blended into a larger group (by another somewhat rude instructor who insisted we join, over the protestations of our instructor) and we didn't really get the personalized attention we hoped and paid for. 2 of us did NOT get to go up on the ski lift with an instructor (which I believe was supposed to be part of what we paid for as part of our "private" lesson). The rest of the resort staff were great--lots of nice, young, hard-working people. Renting equipment was a breeze, again nice young people taking care of that and they were accommodating and efficient. The team behind reception in the ski section of the lodge area were very helpful in showing us how to print our own lift tickets. The slopes were nice despite the warm weather, all man-made snow, but still decent skiing. We had planned to go to the indoor pool but it was sad and in desperate need of a refresh. The outdoor pool was heated, but again it was like 40 degrees outside; some kids braved the cold but not us. Overall, I would return to the mountain, but skip the hotel part of the resort. Maybe ask for a renovated room, if they have any. Otherwise, we'll find accommodations elsewhere but will likely return to the mountain to ski.

Hi Safari385091, Thank you for sharing your experience! It's guests' feedback like yours that helps us improve. I am sorry we missed the mark with your room and our restaurants. We offer three restaurants at the Resort, The Grille restaurant located next to the lodge offers a fine dining experience, Trails End Cafe next to our outdoor pool is cafe bistro-style dining, and the Mountain Earty in the Lodge offers a range of on-the-go options. I have shared your comments with the resort team. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. With Hospitality, Sean Lauth Hotel Director

This is a great spot for a quick getaway in the winter months! My family stayed here on a Sunday-Monday in the beginning of February. My son is 8 and my daughter is 4, so pulling them out of school for one day was not a problem-and worth it! The price to stay on a Sunday night is at least 1/2 of what it would be on a weekend, and it is NOT crowded at all! We spend Sunday afternoon in the indoor and outdoor heated pools and hot tubs. We ate at the Grille at Bear Creek. It's super convenient since it's right in the resort, but the food is just subpar and pricey. My husband's lobster ravioli and it was @$50 and not that good. My crab cake sandwich was very messy. Next time, we might go out to eat. (We say that now, but we might end up back at the Grille since it's easy!). Rooms were clean, with great views overlooking the mountain. There is also a Trail Ends Cafe for low-key, easy food (you order at a counter and get a buzzer). Kids loved the waffle fries for an afternoon snack and husband and son were happy with breakfast. My son and husband skied on Monday. (Hoping to get my daughter out there next year!). They were the first ones on the mountain when it opened. They didn't have to wait in a line at all throughout the day! It was a bright sunny day, and they just did run after run. My daughter and I hung out in the pool and met them in the lodge for lunch. There was NO problem finding a table! Again, it was NOT crowded. Pizza was just ok. Very saucy. Kids didn't really eat the slices. Cheeseburger was decent. We will absolutely go back again during an off-peak time. Well worth missing a day of school! Kids had a blast and slept well that night!

We had an excellent experience all around. The people at check in, Jenna and Kathy, were super helpful and friendly. Thank you! The room was clean and spacious. The cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful as well. We had a wonderful waitress in the Grill restaurant named Cali and had a lovely time (we recommend investing more on the quality of the food, which was just average). The ski experience was great too. We love the property overall, which has the feel of an up-scale western resort. All in all a great short vacation. We plan to come back soon. Great job!

My husband and I stayed overnight in a Mountain View King Room. It was clean and had a beautiful view of the slopes. I was very pleased with the overall aesthetic at this resort. Fireplaces surrounded by cozy couches and rocking chairs are located at various entrances. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind. There are three restaurants on site. We enjoyed the Trails End Cafe for breakfast but would love to come back and try the other two. We also enjoyed the Himalayan Rock salt couples massage at the Spa! It was such a unique and relaxing experience. The resort was comfortable and we can’t wait to come back to ski when there’s more snow! I highly recommend Bear Creek!!

Great weekend trip with amazing front desk personnel. Rooms were spacious and clean. Indoor and outdoor pools were great. Food in the grill and cafe, although overpriced, were good. The only criticism we had was the lack of communication from the spa. We attempted 3x to request a couples massage but did not receive a response. A little disappointed but it did not ruin a great weekend. We will definitely be returning.

Booked this trip to celebrate an amazing friends 50th. Started off with a dinner at the Grill. I showed up late so I did not get to experience the food/service. When I arrived I did go to the bar for a drink where the servers were friendly and quick to serve. They were very helpful. When checking into my room the front desk crew was awesome and very helpful! The place is very nice. The outdoor hot tub was great. It’s nice being able to sit in the hot tub while there is a little crisp to the air. A big shout out to Seth from maintenance! He is super nice and very helpful. You deserve a raise!! I know you love your job so much and you should be rewarded!!! The room I stayed in was a double queen suite. It was very roomy and nice. The cleanliness could be better. The toilet had urine on it and grossness under the rim. I am someone who is very picky with cleanliness and this grossed me out. Across from my room was someone laying in their bed with underwear on with the door wide open ALL night! Also the smell of weed in the hallway (smelled like it was from the room with the door open, but who knows) Not sure what the deal was with that. The AC was not the best. I usually keep my house at 67 all year, so would probably be ok for some. You can open slide door which gives a nice breeze but it has no screen on it. These thing are easy to fix. A little more TLC would help. I would definitely go back and would recommend to others.

I went two more times within the past two weeks. One trip was August 15-18 and the other was September 3-6 for my birthday. Both those trips were amazing! So in august I went and I was so happy to see that I was back in a matter of 78 days. We got room 323 and that room was clean (ofc) and bigger by the slightest than the last room. I went in the pool after unpacking which was fun and then went down to the game room after that (I love going in the game room) and then I went back up and was recognized by one of the front desk employees named Richie and we chatted a bit. The 16th was sorta the same, we got to see a frog go under the building which was a cool sight and I did some bear creek photo shoots too. I also talked to Richie and another employee named Karen too. Then on the 17th I did more photo shoots and played ping pong in the lower lodge. I then saw Jenna too and she recognized me which was nice. Then I left on the 18 which was sad but then 15 days later I was back again! I arrived on the 3rd of September and I saw Nikki which she also remembered me. I then went right to the trails end cafe for lunch it was rlly good (idk how to spell what I ate but I’ll call it a cheese roll) and then we get room 108 which was interesting because it was the first room we got with a Mountain View and also the room was backwards so it was kinda funny at first (it was also slightly smaller than room 323). I couldn’t go swimming this trip so I walked around bear creek a lot and talked to the employees abt the history behind bear creek. I asked about the executive suite and loft suites and some more history abt when it was Doe Mountain Ski Area. It was actually interesting. I also did the poolside bingo. Then on the 4th it was my birthday. So I opened gifts and then had trails end food (I had the double chocolate muffin) and it was so good! I then got wished happy birthday by a bunch of employees too which was nice, I did a lot of things outside of bear creek but I saw Jenna and Richie too and they wished me a happy birthday as well. At night I walked around outside and took some more bear creek pictures. I then went and played ping pong and corn hole with my sister in the lower lodge. On the 5th I was kinda depressed because we were gonna leave the next day. I ate trails end food again (cinnamon bun, was good) and then went out. When I came back to bear creek I sat in the north lobby and just thought for a few minutes and then went down to the mountain activity center and I got some things and also talked to the person that was in there and I found out that bear creek was once a motel when it was still Doe Mountain Ski Area which was super cool! I then go upstairs and go into the gift shop cause I wanted to buy bear creek merch and that was cool! Then on the 6th I had to leave but I had the French toast muffin and that was my favorite food. Then leaving bear creek was the most painful thing to happen. It’s was sad I cried a lot. I would like to say that Bear Creek is my home now 😄
