Incredibly impressed with the cleanliness here as compared to other spots during Covid! Everyone had their masks on, and the staff couldn’t be more accommodating. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re looking for a little pandemic get away!! I’d give them ten stars if I could!!

Hotel's Favorite
After researching about 10 resorts, B&B's, etc in the Poconos, we choose Bear Creek Mountain Resort for a fall getaway. My wife and I are retired, both over 70 and my wife has asthma, so the most important thing to us were their measures to prevent spread of Covid. Everything we saw showed that these measures were taken very seriously by all employees. We booked a queen suite that was ready when we arrived and had everything that was promised on the web site. The separate bedroom worked great when I got up early and my wife wanted to sleep in. Now for the fun. The weather cooperated very well for us both days. We played cornhole and horse shoes one afternoon. Next day we went for a 2 hour hike on marked trails through woods and then up on the ski mountain. Great hike! Then we played mini-golf (small green with 4 holes), disc golf (first time) , swam in the heated outdoor pool and got in the hot tub. Pool was very comfortable. Ate one dinner at The Grill, it was closed the other night we were there. Food and service were good, as always. Ordered breakfast sandwiches from the Trails End Cafe and ate in the room. Worked great for us. Overall this resort was just what we wanted. Staff was always friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean and well maintained. With all the available activities we kept busy but yet I found overall we had a relaxing getaway. We are planning to return in the spring after ski season, hopefully for at least 3 days to do it all over again.

I was excited to spend some time here reading the reviews about the place being less busy than usual. I was not disappointed by the property, food provided and service ! Do: ~bring the kids to the indoor pool and outdoor pools ~ destress here in the multiple whirlpools (probably by yourself- as the hotel seemed empty even thought there are sometimes folks in the hallway) ~splurge at the Grille on the weekends as it is closed during the week and serves delectable dinner ~ book a king suite if you have kids or a partner who wants to sleep in ! There is a huge tub in our king suite that was incredibly relaxing :). ~ walk the trails or/and take the kids to the playground on the property ~ take the kids or go by yourself to use the outdated but fun peddle boats ~ ask questions at the front desk as everyone posted there is kind and professional! Don’t : ~ worry about noise even if you have a suite near the elevator if you are vacationing off season! ~ worry about CoVid as they have multiple measures in place to avoid unnecessary contact !!!

I was looking to get away for a solo self-care retreat and this was perfect. I stayed in the king suite, which had more than enough space and was comfortable and clean. I took archers lessons for $15, which was fun and informative. I got a hot stone massage at the spa and Dominic was excellent. Great scenery and trails. Outdoor heated pool and hottub were pleasant and relaxing. Because I went after the holiday rush, there were times I had the hot tub to myself. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Prices at the Trails End Cafe were responsible. Traveling during this new COVID-19 era is anxiety provoking, but I feel safe here. Looking forward to visiting again.
