Lock Haven is a small college town with rather limited overnight acommodations. Two national hotel chains and two B&Bs plus a couple of old local motels and some more chains 15 miles away at I-80. We've stayed in most of them and this property is the kind that grows on you. The owner, Betty Schantz, has operated it for 20... More

Kind of funny - my husband and I lived not too far away, but were having some work done in our (only) bathroom, and we decided that instead of "roughing it" for a few days without a working bathroom, we'd just go ahead and stay in this lovely B&B. I think it was like $30/night? Unheard of! The owner was... More

I frequent Penn State home football games and needed an inexpensive place to stay. I love the charm and remoteness of Partnership house. While the Inn is about 35 miles East of State College it's located perfectly for me. The owner - Betty Schantz - is delightful and engaging. The Inn is very clean, well maintained and incredibly fascinating. The... More

Our hostess was wonderful and accommodating during a difficult trip to see our mother in the hospital. Homemade preserves and coffeecake with breakfast. Great conversation. My room had a gorgeous Eastlake bedroom set. This is the old family home now set up for visitors, surrounded by acres of farmland with a delightful rural feel, yet close to everything. Great cell... Betty makes you feel like your coming home to visit. We stayed with Betty while we explored the Pine Creek railtrail on our bikes and hiked part of the Black Forest Trail. Great breakfast and they were able to meet my special requests. I enjoyed my stay and look forward to staying here again.

First of all, the innkeepers were lovely people. Very nice, very special, accommodating people. This inn is an old farmhouse. If you are looking for authentic farmhouse living, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable, relaxing, spacious B&B, this place is not for you. Everything was authentic country living, including the dusty rooms, uncomfortable... More
