This was one of the more unusual places we have stayed. Our room was comfortable (could have used extra pillows on the bed), and the location is quite nice - out in the country to be sure. Hearing wolves from the attached sanctuary was wonderful.

This past stay was our 3rd time at the B&B and not our last. We’ve stayed in Bill’s room in the main house and in the Whyte House Cottage and the Paymasters Office Cottage. Every one of them is unique and relaxing. Breakfast is a thing of beauty. Wonderful healthy portions and homemade everything. I wish Dawn would serve dinner... More

This was our anniversary trip in which we frequent a different B&B every year. The draw to Speedwell Forge was the excellent reviews (which it lived up to), the wolves and the fact that it was in Amish country. The Paymaster cottage was extremely clean, comfortable, views from every window and close to the wolves which you could hear howling.... More

a unique experience. Got off to a shaky start as we didn't have the code to open the gates. this was resolved. Once we got to know Dawn the innkeeper we got on fine. Dawn's passion is the wolves, although we originally booked this B&B as a convenient place to Lititz. We didn't know much about wolves. Fortunately we were... More

My husband decided to surprise me for our wedding anniversary and made reservations for this BB. Flowers and chocolate were awaiting my arrival. I was surrounded with Civil War history. The wolf sanctuary was an added bonus. Dawn and Darren the inn keepers were tremendous hosts. Please take the time to sit and converse with Dawn she is so knowledgeable... More

The place is unique because of the grounds. Extensive private wooded area across from a birding trail. Wolf sanctuary on the grounds. Have visited several times. Each time is perfect. I would visit more except it is only for the able-bodied and my husband has limited mobility. It is not accessible at all. All rooms have steps, no path for... More

My wife enjoys historic architectural details and rummaging through antique barns. The Speedwell Forge B&B offered superb accommodations in an historic generations old large family dwelling that has been restored beautifully. The owner, Dawn, and her partner have spent thousands of hours bringing back this family estate from near ruin (waterfall down the main staircase!). It is elegant, quiet, comfortable,... More
