Beautiful home built in 1877 near downtown Lewistown. We offer spacious accommodations and elegant, relaxed and casual atmosphere. Chestnut Manor offers 5 bedrooms, some with private and shared bathrooms. Enjoy a traditional breakfast in the dining room or sunroom. We use fresh and local items and take special dietary requests into consideration. Relax in the library or parlor or chat with the owners. Spend time in Mifflin and Juniata counties at local wineries, shopping, antiquing, hiking, fishing, having a picnic at a State park, or taking a ride to Big Valley to take in the scenery and the Amish culture. State College and Penn State are 30 miles and a short trip over the mountain.

We stayed two nights and had two great breakfasts. Jim and Launa are very warm and welcoming. They put a lot of work into restoring this mansion and they also work hard to make guests feel welcome. We especially enjoy when hosts sit down and have breakfast with us so we can get to know each other--and that is what Jim and Launa did. My wife, Lexie, and I highly recommend this beautifully restored B&B.

I stayed here with 3 friends. The entire place is quite large and beautiful. Plentiful mints, candies, tea, and coffee available. Breakfast was homemade eggs, bacon, toast, fruits, scones...tasty. The rooms themselves are large, comfortable beds, efficient AC system, and vintage, yet ornate bathrooms. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful room and comfortable bed. Our room had a balcony where we could look over the quiet street and see some kids playing. Will definitely stay here a gain. Launa and Jim were great hosts! (And yummy breakfast too!)

We booked the Chestnut Manor BNB for the first time (for a Fri-Sun stay). This is a charming home, tended to by an extraordinarily lovely couple. Although the surrounding neighborhood is very modest, upon walking into the Chestnut Manor you're transported to a magical atmosphere that is at once majestic, yet comfortable. The breakfast/brunch that was served was exemplary and the owners make every effort to satisfy your needs. The other guests that we met provided enjoyable company as well. They, too, were enamoured with the Chestnut Manor. We will be back!

We spent four nights in Lewistown, while attending our son's wedding. Chestnut Manor is an awesome Victorian mansion, with wonderful hosts, and great breakfasts. Could not have been better. Highly recommended!
