We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at The Inn at Leola Village. We selected one of the "signature" suites which was very spacious and in excellent condition. It was a converted tobacco barn (don't worry it do not smell of tobacco) and had a nice rustic, antique feel to it. The staff were incredibly attentive with the lobby staff actually walking us to our suite and giving us a quick rundown of the room, its history and its features. We also had dinner at the Osteria Avanti located at the Inn, which made for a short walk from our room. The dinner was very good so we also recommend the restaurant. The Inn doesn't offer a "full breakfast" but there is a cafe next to the lobby area for coffee and bakery items. For a full breakfast, we recommend Gracie's on West Main which is just a minute down the road from the Inn. All in all, a nice couple's getaway location which was exactly what we were looking for.

This is an historic property in a small town near Lancaster. Some of the buildings date from the 1860's. It's somewhat rustic, but nicely furnished. Parking is free and on site near your room. Our second floor (there's an elevator) Executive Parlor Suite included a bedroom, separate bathroom/dressing area, and nice parlor area. The rooms had some lovely antique furniture, and the price was reasonable given the size of the suite. There were small flat screen TV's in the bedroom and the parlor (larger one in the bedroom would be better). The suite also had a fridge and microwave. The inn seems to specialize in weddings and other functions, and there are lovely gardens and a large outbuilding for such functions. We had a few issues with the room----adjusting the a/c unit was hard to figure out, and overnight the room got down to 64 degrees. Also, there was no sink stopper. Overall, the room had a nice, historic feel, and things aren't always perfect in historic properties. We had dinner in the Italian restaurant, and it was fine. It's in a small and rather plain room with just a few tables, a little surprising given the Four Diamond reputation. The food was good, not great. But they have a great bartender here. Another very surprising thing was that the restaurant doesn't serve breakfast---there is just a small coffee shop with coffee, pastries, etc. The coffee shop was OK for us, but other people may want a better breakfast. Apparently there is a local place which serves a good breakfast within walking distance of the inn. Sometimes the front desk was not manned for short periods, and we got the impression that the inn may be short-staffed (not unusual these days). We enjoy staying in historic hotels and B & B's, and overall this inn did not disappoint.

This hotel gets a lot of business from weddings, so they really do not care about individual travelers opinions. The purchasing power is the the group of tourists, and NOT with occasional NewYorker spoiled by highest standards for everything, that are impossible to meet outside Big Apple. Groups prepay everything, landscaping is doing the selling for them. The management doesn't really train employees, who are mostly hard working people left without good directions. If the rooms maybe priced reasonable by NY standards, the little coffee shop makes all the money for them, by selling mediocre lukewarm coffee for $3, and sandwiches for very NY prices. They advertise "free breakfast" on the website, but then tell you that "breakfast is a la cart at the coffee shop, not free". Considering that there are not so many good eateries around the hotel - the guest will end up spending all the money saved on the room - buying overpriced coffee and snacks. The restaurant opens at 4pm only, so coffee shop was is really money making machine for them. The spa is another big disappointment. They do not have experienced staff. Manicurists are local girls who do not know what they are doing , the front desk matron is not much better. Passive agressive attitude doesn't go well in hospitality industry and is always the sure sign of a trouble. The strong pressure from front desk matron to pay upfront for everything when client checks in , including mandatory 20% tip before the services are even performed - is an indication that they are not customer oriented, since all wedding or girls getaways brings them steady crowd of undemanding customers. Simply put - they don't know good customer service and they do not care. Front desk managers are great, though. They are educated at least, and they are friendly. The rest - are just there to get the paycheck. We won't be back. It is not worth the trip from NY. If you are planning the wedding there - this is another story, perhaps you'll be satisfied with their landscaping.

I have been to Lancaster County many times but this was my first stay at The Leola Village. This location is simply wonderful. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, the rooms are spacious and well maintained and the staff was very friendly. I was there for a small Women’s retreat and this was an ideal location. Quiet, walking trail with several spots just to sit and meditate. While there they did have weddings everyday, parking was never a problem and it never felt crowded. I did not eat at any of the restaurants so I can not comment. Yes I would recommend this small boutique hotel and I will definitely come again.

We brought a bus load of over 20 to The Inn at Leola Village. Fantastic, amazing, and highly professional do not even begin to describe The Inn at Leola Village! The entire experience has been so perfect. From the great welcome and organized check in, amazing meals and serving staff, impeccable rooms along with the patient and professional front end work on their event planning part, we have been in awe and speechless. Cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem in PA.

We stayed here one night to attend a wedding at the facility. The room we chose was the least expensive but it was beautiful and extremely clean. We heard from other guests that the suites are absolutely amazing. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Grounds are nice and well-maintained. Wedding hall was very nice and was run very efficiently. Food at the wedding reception and the next morning at a post-wedding brunch was delicious.

We stayed in room 502. If you're looking for a bathtub this room does not have one. The toilet rocks some due to the fact it is only fastened down to the floor with one bolt. The toilet paper holder is bolted to the wall-so with my short arms I could not reach it. Thankfully my husband was in the room when I needed some toilet paper so I could becon him to bring me some. After that if I needed to go I took the roll off the holder and sat it on the sink cabinet within reach. The bed was very hard-both my husband and myself woke up with sore backs. The rooms were kept very clean. When we checked in they walked us to our room-never had any hotel do that-so I thought they went the extra mile.

Room advertised as a "Tuscan-inspired" and booked a king sized bed through Expedia. Checkin was very pleasant and we were walked to our room in the historic building, Room 103. The historic building faces the main street through town. Who would have thought that this is a busy highway throughout the night? It seemes like every truck that went by went through our room. It could be that the bed was so uncomfortable that I could not sleep. Very soft bed, it feels like a hammock. If you like soft beds, this is for you! The room had a sitting area and kitchenette. While I was awake and frustrated at the queen sized uncomfortable bed, I called the front desk. He explained that Expedia shows only the best rooms. AND we purchase a standard room.. (is that a bait and switch?) The front desk explained we had received a free upgrade to the Executive room. I would have preferred receiving my requested room with king sized bed in the main Inn. (Which truly looked beautiful!) The front door remained unlocked and made me feel unsafe, especially since the front door was on Main St. and could not be seen by the rest of the "Village". I also called the booking company to complain about the switch of room and was basically told I had to take what was available. I will attach pictures and you will understand my disappointment. The room looked nothing as described/pictured. The room cost was $270 plus tax. The room also became overwhelmed by the smell of sewage twice throughout the night. Pipes were gurgling so I assume there was a clog somewhere in the historic house. It was disgusting, but what can you do at 4am but suck it up. Bathroom had a broken wooden blind that you could see in and out of the room. May not cause you to give a free show while in the shower, but makes you realize they definitely don't pay attention to detail. I emailed the room manager whose card was proudly displayed at the check in desk. It has been a week since I emailed him and no response. The best part of our overnight stay was the recommendation to go to breakfast at Gracie's on Main. It was delicious Pictures are of the sitting area, I apologize, thought I had one of the bedroom. You can see that this was a mishmash of decor and check out the cute TV!

We purchased the “romance package”. Had dinner at the restaurant and got violently ill and were in bed all evening! That was after we were told the cable was out that day by one employee and another said it was out all week. So we had nothing to occupy us while we were bedridden ! We contacted front desk and the restaurant manager to let them know, we were expecting to hear from the hotel manager, at which they said they would contact for us, but we heard nothing. When checking out I asked the young lady if she was aware of our situation she replied “yes but unfortunately there’s nothing we can do to compensate your stay since you purchased a package”. It’s quite unfortunate because we were considering this place as a venue for our wedding but I would NEVER come back or give them my business because of how poorly the situation was handled.

Once again, this beautiful hotel & Inn never disappoints. The service and staff are super friendly and give excellent service. We are always treated like royalty here. I had a fun girls weekend with one of my best friends celebrating her birthday and we made some more special memories together. The grounds are beautifully kept, and the restaurant was absolutely outstanding! Our room was very spacious with plenty of room, comfortable living room, 2 bathroom sinks and a wet bar area. I can’t wait to come back!!
