The entire camp ground Is well maintained. Due to Covid19 not everything was open. The pool was open along with the bathrooms/showers area.
Unfortunately the country store and game room were closed.
Anything that was open was clean then cleaned again and when it was done being cleaned it was cleaned again.

All an all for what is going on with the virus an thing it was a very peaceful week, except for the 2 days they loss power and water so make sure you bring water an have a good battery for the uninspected stuff LOL

The first come, first serve policy is not for us. When you pay $150 for the weekend, you would like to know what site you will be and that you could be close to the group you are camping with. Also you want to know that when you get there you will have a site that you fit in and can get in easily.

When we arrived, we were told that the campground was packed and we were given a couple sites to check out that "may be" open. We found a nice SITE 29 that backed to woods and we fit a 35 ft fifth wheel in comfortably and was level. Sites were spaced out and we were next to a cabin that was not rented, so we had lots of privacy in back and on the one side. The views were very nice. The bath house not so clean. We had a $6 breakfast in the welcome center that was a choice of eggs, toast and one piece of meat; or 2 blueberry pancakes with no meat. The coffee was included. The campground was about a 30 minute ride to Hershey Park, which we did all day Saturday. On Sunday, we went to Chocolate World and there was free admission, plus a free ride there. We paid for a 3D movie there and that was fun. Then we went to a winery in the evening that was close by. Overall, the campground was in close proximity to things to do in Hershey and I would recommend Thousand Trails. Thanks!

We were promised a 2 bathroom and 2 bedroom cabin and only received a 1 bath 2 bedroom for 7 people. We had confirmed several times over the phone about the bathrooms since we had a large group but we were very disappointed. Also the public area bathrooms were all shut down and did not leave us with many options.

We bought our camper on the day we went. We wanted to go try it out and this campground was the closest. Everyone was so helpful and nice. The place was crowded and they said it has been and will be until the end of the season. I am stating this because it pertains to my issue.
On Sunday morning we needed to use the bathroom in loop A because some maintenance has to be done on our rv which is a used purchase. There was a line waiting because the facility was being cleaned. Not sure why the bathrooms would be off limits during 7-9am on a sunday when most people are awake and needing to use the facilities. On other days they deep clean like 1am - 3am, so not sure why they wouldn't do that on a weekend. I see the lady who was cleaning, her name was April, coming out of the ladies room. I ask her if she was done cleaning and she said yes but it was wet and i couldn't go in. I did not push to go in but ask if the mens room was done because my husband was in pain to use the mens room. She just came out from cleaning the womens room and had already done the mens so the mens had to be dry unless she was less then 20 minutes cleaning the ladies room.
I begged her to let him use the bathroom and she replied with no care that everything will be "soaked" and the disinfectant could harm someone. This made no sense since she did the mens room before the womens.
I ask if there was another bathroom he could use and again with no personality or care she said no. I find it crazy that you only had one bathroom open when earlier i was told "we are so busy and packed".
Many people were annoyed and i believe had to use the woods because of urgency.
This definitely put a damper on our experience, which stinks to be our first rv outing.

Campground was very quiet and easy to get around. We wished they had golf carts available and that we were able to successfully use the laundry amenities. The staff was all very nice, except one girl who worked at the pool. But, we will definitely be back! Our cabin was very clean and spacious and worth the price.

Staff was awesome, location was great. We stayed in cabin H56, our only complaints, having to pay for our own WiFi, unwatchable tv due to the poor signal, no towels, pillows or linens were included. The cabin itself for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. I would definitely return & hopefully in the future more is included for the price.

In the summer of Covid-19, my wife and I found a safe sanctuary at Thousand Trails Hershey. We set up our camper on a shaded seasonal site that made for a relaxing, safe experience at a campground that puts guests first. Family-friendly, yet quiet enough for older folks like us. The manager, Kim, and her friendly, courteous staff responded quickly to our questions. It's clean. They had reasonable Covid-19 rules for use of the swimming pool and other facilities during the summer. If you're traveling through the region, it's only 15 minutes from Hersheypark, too.

No, you do not have to be a Thousand Trails member. They set aside a limited number of sites for public rental. Try this link, if you haven't already. Ooops, forgot - can't do links. See if you can make sense of this: rv on the go dot c-o-m, then search for Hershey.
It is catch and release only.
