Stayed at the relatively new Spring Hill Suites for one night while attending a sporting event at St Vincent College. Very convenient location. Check in was effortless. We had a nice room on the fourth floor that was outfitted with a microwave, fridge, tons of charging ports, coffee maker. The room has a semi-seperate living room area adjacent to where the bed is with a desk and translucent screen separating the two spaces. Bathroom set up is unique - shower and sink in one small room, toilet and sink in another small room. Rolling barn doors provide privacy in both. Kind of a funky set up, I'm not sure if I am a fan. Bed is very comfy but could use a heavier blanket. Breakfast was typical hotel free breakfast fare but the breakfast room was well stocked and absolutely spotless. Lobby had some Arnold Palmer memorabilia and the rooms/lobbies had a golf theme as well. Cool. There is a lobby bar that closes fairly early and there is plenty of free, on site parking. What sets the Spring Hill apart is the service. Everyone we encountered, from the desk attendant to the cleaning personnel, were friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Well done Spring Hill! Great choice while visiting Latrobe.

Stayed at this hotel for a while and the service from all the staff was great, from the front desk, housekeeping and the breakfast girls. Always wiling to help and friendly. Rooms were very clean and modern, although slightly weird design in that there is very little light in the sitting area since they put up a privacy glass screen over the desk which blocks out all natural light from the large windows which only lights the bedroom area. It's basically the layout of the room which is a little confusing there. Hot breakfast was offered everyday but would have been nice to have a little variety as was always eggs and sausage, other hotels will usually alternate between sausage and bacon or other breakfast meat and if staying for a short stay it's not really an issues but for an extended day it get a little boring. My husband and I were visiting his family in Latrobe. We stayed at this hotel for almost an entire week. Upon entering the hotel it seemed very clean and organized but after getting to our room was a whole different story. We realized there was no proper ventilation, black mold in the shower, dirty mirrors. flat pillows, short sheets , etc. I don't even think that the room was cleaned. We were asked if we wanted our room cleaned during our stay when we checked in which I thought was an odd question. One day housekeeping didn't even show up and was told they only clean every other day. Breakfast was okay if you get there in time. Save yourself and go to the Hampton Inn in Greensburg...

The offerings for the hotel breakfast were the most lackluster and disappointing I have ever experienced. They have removed the toasters, bagels, English muffins and bread. When I inquired, staff told me this change was occurring chain-wide. For three mornings there was barely any meat. I will seriously reconsider my hotel choices for future stays in the area. Oh, and my frequent stay gift was a small bottle of water and one Jolly Rancher.

Over the years, ventilators on both ends of the hall on floors 2-4 increasingly sound like jackhammers. The sound penetrates all rooms 24/7. I have stayed here since the hotel opened, and it is progressively worse. During the last 3 stays I had to change rooms. The 1st floor would be the only refuge—if it were not for the noisy room doors. They sound like jail doors slamming over & over, when housekeeping is on the floor. Incessantly. In fact I’m having trouble right now, writing this review in my room, for the slamming. Heavy duty weatherstripping required.
It’s a shame, because the hotel is so beautiful otherwise. I have told staff and staff is very aware. This time the receptionist said “we are trying to change suppliers or something.” I will not stay here again without calling first to verify that the ventilators are fixed.

This hotel was taken care of. The hotel was spotless. The rooms were so cool. Huge. The staff was very friendly. They had breakfast with staff fulfilling your orders and then you would take it back to your room. The breakfast was awesome. Our nights stay we heard no noises. Slept very well. We know right now its very difficult with the current Corona virus but we felt they did everything possible to make sure that your stay was safe. We would definetly return.

This hotel appeared to be new and was clean and comfortable. The checkin was good. The breakfast was adequate but a bus full of people were eating so we went out. Nice to have coffee and hot water in the lobby 24/7. The SpringHill suites seem to have a very compact design with the bathroom broken up in to 2. A small airport style toilet and mini sink with a shower and sink both at the end of the bed. We don't love the design - so it is a preference.

Last month we spent 2 nights in the SpringHill Suites, Latrobe. It's a beautiful hotel with friendly staff, very clean, great breakfast, and the patio was perfect for our mini family reunion. There is only one reason I did not give it 5 stars.
We checked in rather late and did not get to bed until around 1:00 am. When I pulled the bed down I noticed a hair pin laying in the middle of the bed. On closer inspection I could see that the sheets had not been changed after the prior guest. Being so late at night we just slept on the dirty sheets.
The next morning I spoke with the manager about the dirty sheets. His reply was, "What do you want me to do about it?" I was quite taken aback by this. There was no surprise nor apology given. Just, "What do you want me to do about it?" I guess he expected us to sleep on someone else's sheets for a second night. I asked him to please give us fresh sheets.
Should I ever stay there again, I will immediately check the sheets upon entering the room.

Very nice hotel convenient to St. Vincent College. Rooms super clean, comfortable and nice furniture. Easy parking and access to Route 30. Front desk staff was very helpful and arranged for a late checkout which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely stay here again when back in the area.

Approximately 35 miles, depending on the route taken. Allow at least 45 minutes to an hour to get arrive, given the secondary roads leading to Fallingwater.
