The Wyndham Lancaster Resort and Convention Center charms with its excellent location, often noted for its convenience to nearby attractions, and generally clean and comfortable rooms, according to guests. However, some guests have been critical of the hotel's value, pointing out overpriced rooms and less-than-satisfactory food. While the staff receives mixed reviews for their service, from commendable friendliness to frustrating unresponsiveness, the amenities and atmosphere also receive contrasting opinions, with maintenance issues detracting from the otherwise family-friendly environment.

We were very happy with our stay at the Wyndham for 2 nights. The hotel pool is the best part, as it’s beautiful and there is also a good sized brand new playground with a small splash park. The hotel discounted the room because they could not accommodate our request for a pool side room in the booking due to an A/C problem. That worked fine for us. I think it’s still in transition from the old hotel. The guy making coffee at the coffee bar was very nice and kept it very clean. The overall Staff is very friendly and efficient. We declined housekeeping during our stay by keeping the “Do Not Disturb” on the door handle. When we used our towels we put them in the hallway and the front desk would provide more for us.

it is a clean hotel which isnt completed yet.we had 3 rooms for 4 days at this hotel. they wont clean your room beacause of covid which is understanding.we were told if you need anything just ask. we went to desk to get clean towell and they claim they didnt have any. took 3 days to get a clean face cloth it was like pulling teeth to get anything. they said to see housekeeping for supply but they said they only had enough for the rooms they were doing. the outdoor whirlpool and pool was loaded with dirt and not cleaned while we were there.the thermostat in my room died and waited about an hour for maintenance to come fix. they say you must have a mask on but people walking around and checking in with out them. no breakfast offerings at all. since there is no house keeping they should charge less there are many more hotels in area that you would get more from for the price.

This was an excellent choice of hotel for our Girlfriends Getaway of 24 people The group manager Kathy was so helpful in assisting us with our getaway. She answered all our questions, made sure our group's rooms were together. The rooms were great. We all had pool side rooms with balconies. We made use of those balconies as well as the outdoor pool. We were relatively in the same area and most rooms connected to each other. For a small fee, we rented out a meeting room for a couple of hours of girl time (talk and games). There was even a sign on the outside markee welcoming "2021 Girlfriends Getaway" which made us feel so special. One concern we had was to make sure you ask for parking centrally located near the room for seniors as it was a long corridor from the room to the elevator to the parking lot. Also, there needs to be rubber inserts (mats) in the bathrooms because the shower can be slippery. All in all - I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is centrally located to the outlets, restaurants, kids activities. I will be back again with my family.

We were in town for the MLK Classic Volleyball tournament. Our group had 2 teams staying at this location and there were several other teams there also. The hotel itself was just getting finished with a renovation. The rooms were fine. We spent the first night hanging out at the hotel bar and a few parents ordered food from the kitchen at the hotel. We were watched very closely and a few of our parents were asked not to drink beer that they had brought down from their rooms. They were not at the bar just sitting in the lobby. The next night the girls were tired and we all kind of did our own thing. My family (dad, daughter and me) decided just to get some fast food and bring it back to the hotel. Instead of eating in our room on the beds we went to the lobby and were quickly advised that we could not eat any outside food in the lobby. We were not in the bar area or restaurant seating, just at a table in the lobby. We had to pack up our food and take it back to our room. No long after our younger team returned with several different take outs and wanted to all eat together in the lobby. They too were "kicked out" and made to eat in their rooms. It is terrible that they would rather you eat on your bed in your room than an easy to clean table. Not to mention that there teams there that like to spend as much time together as possible. We also felt that we were watched very closely. Many men just hanging around that seemed to all be related to hotel management. The heat/ac in the rooms was very sketchy and would only come on if they detect motion. If you get an adjoining room, the strangers in the next room might as well be laying next to you if they are loud talkers. Think twice before booking this location for a group or sports team!

Stayed for a wedding, bad experience. Wouldn't recommend or stay again. Constantly heard how they are understaffed due to Covid - well then don't book four weddings over the weekend. There was no maid service, which I can deal with, however if you're not going to service the room daily: 1) have enough towels for the length of stay - which they didn't 2) have normal bath amenities in supply besides a tiny bottle of body wash and two of body lotion 3) have more than one roll of toilet paper in the room. There were no hangers in the closet, and no "do not disturb" placard. As far as amenities are concerned, the bar drink prices were OUTRAGEOUS, higher than what I'd expect in NYC. Half the time there was no staff at the lobby Starbucks, with limited items. If you're going to advertise breakfast until 10:30 then don't tape over the "3" with a paper "0" so you can close a half hour early. Waited 10 minutes to check out because the only person at the desk was in the bathroom. There was no manager on duty and she was the only one who could do it. Simply poor management and attention to detail. To be fair, there were some PROs: the room was clean, the bed and pillows very comfortable and the A/C worked very well. But the rooms are really showing a lot of wear. The pool and outdoor area is also very nice. Shame it's run poorly.

First of all, I’ve traveled for work and leisure for many years. I know booking direct with the hotel not only can secure a better room and location but it also helps should any issues arise. When we checked in, I asked to be close to an elevator as I just had back surgery, I was told I was. When the receptionist gave me the keys, she told me we were in room 137 and to use the elevator. No one told us we were going to be dropped in the conference area with literally no signs on how to get to the rooms. Finally find the room after going back up to the lobby and asking again; the room was nowhere near an elevator. We get to the room and we are literally across from the commercial laundry room that had doors wide open and filthy. Open the door for our room and the place was disgusting. There were hairs all over the place, bathroom wasn’t cleaned, the room smelt of a basement because frankly that’s where you put us so I called to ask for another room. I was told there were no other rooms in the entire hotel with a king bed and we’d have to stay in a room with 2 queens. Fine. Get me out of this room, is what I thought. Get into the 2nd room and it’s just as dirty with pubic hairs all over our bed, the nightstand, toilet. I was so skived out and to think we paid $254 for the stay and this is how we’re treated? Now our friends who booked on hotels.com not only got a nicer room/location closer to the lobby but they also had the same problems as us as far as cleanliness and were upgraded to another room with a pool view and balcony. How in the heck did that happen when we were told there were no other rooms to choose from? This is a Wyndam hotel! This should have never happened to us! To make matters worse, our AC broke in the middle of the night. If you can’t keep up with your hotel both from a cleanliness aspect and upkeep, you shouldn’t be charging what you are nor should you put your guests through this experience. Never ever again.

My daughter’s team had a tournament in the area this past weekend so our whole team stayed at this hotel. We arrived at the hotel around 9:30 pm so wanted to settle in rather quickly since we had to be up early for the tournament. First of all, I saw that other reviewers had said that the halls were not heated. They were not joking! You can almost see your breath in the hallways. We get into our room and the temp was set at 62 (which actually felt way warmer than the hall but still cold). I turned up the heat, however, the blower blew out half hot air and half cold air cancelling each out. I called the front desk to let them know asking if we could switch rooms and was told they will send someone up to look at it. After waiting forever for someone to show up, he told us it was malfunctioning and we would need to switch rooms. No kidding. It was almost 11:00 by the time we got settled into a new room. The furnaces in the room are set off by motion detectors so if you are gone all day you will come back to a freezing room again. Had an issue with our keys the next morning as we left for the tournament at 6:45 am. Was told no one works the front desk until 7:00 am so we needed to take care of it when we returned. Tried to use the ONE washing machine that services the entire building and, of course, that didn’t work either after waiting for the “engineer” to come tell us that. Got an ice storm the one day there and the parking lot was left untreated well into the evening. The entire place just seemed to be poorly staffed, poorly run and they attempted to cut corners in every possible way.

Overall great resort accept the rooms need to be more sound proofed. There is a Starbucks right in the lobby which is very convenient. During the dance competition, the bathrooms in the main lobby could have been cleaned more frequently. Other wise very spacious overall.

We decided to stay at the Wyndham since the competition was at the hotel. I have pretty severe knee issues and when I was told there was not elevator access to our room I ask if there was another room that did have elevator access. The front desk person said I could walk around the outside of the building, which was a fairly good distance for a person with knee issues. When I explained walking distances was also an issue she said I could drive around. She suggested next time to ask for the 6th floor. They didn’t seem to care about people and mobility issues Really!!
I also ask about a sign posted at the front desk stating cleaning is limited due to Covid. She said there would be cleaning and that the sign needed to be taken down. Well….I placed the cleaning sign on my door when we left in the morning about 9:45 we retuned about 1 pm and nothing was done. No towels, trash full, bed not made etc. We called the front desk and were told housekeeping is not in but they would bring towels and extra blanket and if we collected all of the trash they would take it WHAT! We didn’t collect the trash because at $200 a night that’s a bare minimum that I would expect. We returned in the evening to find a few towels no blanket and the trash cans full! That explained why the trash was piled high in the hall and at the ice machine trash cans.
I could have stayed at Fairfield or another hotel that I typically frequent and had much better experience and breakfast included for a lot less. Lesson learned

The entrance to the hotel is very nice. The front desk staff were nice but they didn't give much information regarding hotel amenities except to let us know the pool was opening the next day The hotel was rather crowded. The rooms were not very soundproof and there were children running in the halls and adults yelling. The beds were a little high, especially for my DH who has had 2 hip replacements. The box springs were also very stained, which made me check the sheets & mattress before going to sleep. The breakfast buffet was a little expensive. I was concerned that they were not serving the, but allowing people to get it themselves. When checking out, the front desk person simply took my key cards. I asked if I needed to sign anything or get a bill & she said no, we were all good.

I am not sure. You will have to contact them. Be aware that it will be super noisy if you want pool view and first floor. That area of the hotel is the most outdated.
