Just spent two nights at King’s Cottage. Ann and Janis the owner hosts were wonderful and knowledgeable about the Amish and the area. We even went to an Amish family’s home for dinner with them. The house is beautiful and rooms we had were very comfortable and well furnished. You can’t go wrong by staying here. Did I mention that the breakfasts were delicious. Alan from New Jersey

This is the second time in a year we have stayed here, and we loved it just as much as the first time. This is an historic B & B, the building being over a hundred years old, I believe. It's run so well by the two owners, who are delightful, by the way. With eight rooms from which to choose your stay, you have a choice of something small and cozy, or bigger, and heck, still cozy. The breakfasts are excellent. We've been to many B & B's over the years, but found their breakfast choices unique, delicious, and filling. The rooms are meticulously cared for, very comfortable, and varied according to one's taste. There's a front parlor facing King Street where you can lounge if you're up to it, and enjoy an afternoon snack. Located on the corner of Cottage Ave. and King Street, the place is minutes away from downtown Lancaster, with tons of things to do and see. Now look, stay here if you want a wonderful experience, but I also have to tell you that the owners have the B & B for sale. It makes me wish I were thirty years younger. If any one of you out there have a desire to look into purchasing a B & B of this quality, you should give them a call, or better yet, go and check it out. Thyere's not a thing wrong with the place; it's just that they're both reaching retirement age and need to move on. When I book again for next year, selfishly I hope they're still there, but for their sake, I hope they've successfully sold it and are relaxing themselves in a B & B themselves.

1. Cleanliness: every room very clean, stayed in Majestic. Stayed 13 days and cleanliness prevailed. 2. Decor: designer and historically appropriate. Every room including sunroom well lit, designed well and comfortable. 3. Food and nutrition: unbelievable customization for specific nutritional needs. Also help with great restaurants, etc. 4. Care and concern: stayed here while recovering from hip surgery and head all I needed for fast recovery. 5. Janis and Ann spent an hour with customers setting up routes and adventures for the day and found coupons to save money. I found more about Lancaster County just from them and I live here! Thank you to Janis and Ann for all the great help and care. Recommend very highly. Get ready to be delighted! Remember to ask about Inn's history and try the ginger scones....

Our daughter every year picks us out a bed and breakfast to stay at. She chose this gem 4 years ago. I am just learning the internet so I have chosen to go back to review places I have stayed. I loved it. We had to cancel on the original dates my daughter gave us. Anne and Janis had no trouble whatsoever changing the days twice with no problem or charges to us. We arrived in January the house was beautifully decorated and we were met by her cute little dog. Which she immediately wanted to get out of the way, Maybe some people arent dog lovers,we are and we loved him. The service was awesome, we loved the room. Location was perfect. We walked to a lot of places.January in that area there isn't a lot to do, but we felt very welcomed just hanging around the house. Breakfast was delicious.

Thank you so much for your great review. We are happy you enjoyed your stay with us. Poor Sammy, our Bichon Frise mascot died suddenly a few months after your stay. We were heartbroken and so many repeat guests have asked about him and miss him. We can never replace Sammy but there may be a new mascot in the near future! We can't give a dog run of the common areas since there are guests who are allergic or uncomfortable around dogs. Since Sammy was a pure bred Bichon, he did not shed or have any odor.(even when wet!) So we trained Sammy to stay in our private area unless invited to say hello. We never allowed him in guests rooms for the same reasons. We hope you will come visit us again, Janis & Ann

We've stayed at many B&B's over the years and Kings Cottage definitely ranks among the top. We would highly recommend it! Ann, Janis, and Tokie were all so accommodating and friendly. They even prepared a lunch and directions for our Covered Bridge tour which we enjoyed immensely. And their breakfasts were delicious! Our room was very nice and clean and we also enjoyed the daily chocolates left at the bedside.
